Also, decent month. Happy to be third and just a point behind league leaders Arsenal :)

Transfer window is open!
Even if the transfer-window is open, please post an update if you wish to post a transfer list.

The FA would like to announce the opening of the January transfer window! You are now allowed to sign and announce signings. If you have gotten confirmation from me about a signing, you are allowed to announce them in the thread!

This time, there will be 2 rounds of non-c2c transfers. The first deadline is Wednesday at 20.00 GMT. Send your transfer forms to me by that time. Completed deals will be announced Wednesday night or Thursday morning, and a second deadline will be Thursday evening. In the second window, teams that lost out on transfer targets will be allowed to go for secondary targets to fill their squads.
The c2c-transfer window closes on Thursday evening.

Please send all your non-c2c transfer targets to me in this format:

You are in this window allowed to approach players on pre-contracts. However, you are not allowed to approach players from your own nation until April, so for now, this is only applicable for foreign players.
The team that offers the highest wage for a player on an expiring contract will sign that player in July. Note that this will count as a free transfer.

I would also like to specify that for a non-c2c player to be allowed to be brought in on loan, his squad status has to be backup or lower.

Ok, somebody has just pressed that button for us to be on fire. 1 loss in the Premier League, a loss in the COC Quarters but wow! 5 draws, and 7 wins, this is Champions League form! Shocker!

Arsenal win another title, as fatigue is starting to take its toll
December is normally a very busy month for footballers, and none more so than the Gunners this year. Competing in the Club World Cup meant a long journey to Mexico, in the middle of a packed schedule. A few blips in league performances, but we remain top of the table.

View attachment 219285
Arsenal 1 - 2 Newcastle
We suffer our first defeat of the season, in all competitions, at the hands of a predicted bogey-team. The Magpies took their chances against a fatigued team, and it was our old man Konoplyanka who made us pay, scoring an early penalty. After an Aboubakar equalizer, the possible signing of the season, Paco Alcacer gave Newcastle all 3 points. There goes our unbeaten-run!

Arsenal 4 - 1 Southampton
Almost 3 weeks later, we play our next game in the league. Messi was on inspired form, bagging a brace and a perfect 10 rating. We win in style, despite Sule getting himself sent off. Sterling and Ramsey were the other scorers.

West Ham 1 - 1 Arsenal
We didn't play very well against a well organized Hammers side. A draw was a fair result, as goals from Messi and Meyer were enough for each team to pick up a point.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Leicester
Back to a bit of form. Hopefully, we can find our stride again after December, to push on in our games in hand. Goals from Messi, Aboubakar and Ramsey gave us a very solid win against struggling Leicester.

View attachment 966133

Arsenal 1 - 0 Saint-Etienne
A solitary Aboubakar goal meant we go top of the group with 16 out of 18 points. We face Porto in the first knockout stage.

View attachment 966134
QPR 0 - 1 Arsenal
Same procedure here. We keep a clean sheet, Aboubakar scores, we win. We make it through to the semi-finals where West Ham await us.

View attachment 219284
As reigning champions of Europe, we competed in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Chivas 1 - 3 Arsenal
We defeated Mexical side Chivas in the semi-finals. It was a tough game, but our quality shone through. Sterling, Aboubakar and Ramsey got on the scoresheet.

Arsenal 4 - 0 Fluminense
In front of a capacity crowd of 105 000 at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, we absolutely hammered the Brazilians. They never stood a chance, as Messi scored a brace, and was helped by Sanchez and Ramsey to secure the win. This means we can now call ourselves Club World Champions!

Tranfer List

Alex Song - £7.5M
A top quality player, on extremely affordable wages (£15K), how can you say no? Song is also HG in England, and can cover in centre midfield, defensive midfield as well as on centre back. The bargain of a century!

Joel Veltman - £7M
A good centreback bought by Montella in August. Does not fit into our plans now, and will be moved on. Could be a starter for teams challenging for Europa League. On relatively low wages (£30K). Dutch international who had a very solid season for Sunderland last year.

Connor Wickham - £5M
A strong English striker. Still only 24, and could be a solid goalscorer for mid-table sides.

Nicola Leali - £1M
Italian stopper, who has struggled to break through for us. Could be a good backup for mid-table sides.

For Loan

Sasa Andjelkovic
Young Serbian striker with massive potential. Would be a rotational player for mid to lower table sides. Stong, quick and a good finisher. Is paid almost nothing in wages (£180)

Well it seems joses lost any talent he once had AND put us in debt. Take your Pick from the QPR Squad but be realistic.

West Ham United - December Update

sCda6q7.png

December was a very busy month with 9 games in the space of 28 days for the team. Despite the fixture congestion though we had a good run of results, maintaining good league form while progressing in the Europa League and Capital One Cup.

We currently sit 8th in the Premier League, with 2 wins and 4 draws from 7 games in December. With the season at it's halfway point we will look to use the depth in our squad to keep the squad going through the busy winter period and keep up our campaign for Europe.

A comfortable win at home against Slovan Bratislava made it 6 wins out of 6 in the Europa League as we comfortably qualified for the knockout round. It was a similar story in the Capital One Cup, with the team through to the semi-finals thanks to a fantastic away win at in-form Newcastle. Unfortunately we have been drawn against an inspired Arsenal team in the semis but we'll try our best to put up a good fight.
