All was going so well, then we decided to let city have a chance :P

Hmm... well we did have 4 hard games (Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool), but losing to Palace is unacceptable. We did win the Tyne-Wear derby, so I will have a think about my manager's future.

P.S. Well done Reading, 1 win.

Man City December update Almost perfect!

View attachment 923682

9 fixtures 8/9 wins pretty dam good by my standard pellegrini earning himself joint 3rd manager of the month in the process.

So Results!
Bony scores 2 against Newcastle 3 points J
Kompany gets himself sent off 78minute everton capitalise 1-0 loss
A meaningless if good 2-1 win against Bayern qualifies us in 2nd place tied on points and gets us Madrid in the next round instead of celtic d’oh!
A close 3-2 win against Leicester milner, aguero and bony scoring
A dominant 3-1 win against hull aguero scores 2
2-1 win against reading another red card bony this time who in defence did score as did aguero
3-1 win against Cardiff aguero scoring AGAIN! Love this guy
Chelsea (drum banging dun dun duuunnng) big game and while we had another red (4th in the season 2nd highest stoke on 7) we destroyed Chelsea bony toure aguero silva all getting on the score sheet with Walcott scoring a consolation in the 88th minute
Finished off with a nice 3-0 win against brighton in the fa cup guess who AGEURO!

View attachment 237655

So aguero and bony (surprisingly!) lead the highest average performances of the last 5 games both averaging above 8 and scoring 25 goals in all comps between them dzeko has been the worst over the last 5 games 6.54 avg 5 goals all comps so far
Overall best player this season goes to silva highest average rating although with aguero now back from injury expect him to take that crown by the end of the season Mangala takes the wooden spoon.

Up to 3rd much better still 6points off the lead but that’s ok top 4 is a must title this year would be just a bonus. Biggest priority is champions league however a 1st round knock-out against Madrid isn’t going to be easy

In terms of transfers we hope to bring in one player in January to help us, im reluctant to do any more business not wanting to disrupt the squad mid season.

Wonderkid Gerson is available to loan he has amazing potential only on £700 a week is an AMC and could defo do a job in the first team for a mid table/relegation battler.

In terms of outgoings we are actively trying to get rid of Fernando all offers considered

and we would also be open to offers on dzeko (11m) and fernandinho (10m)

Cheers

October 2015
View attachment 237652We had a good start of the month with wins against Reading and Cardiff. The match against Man City resulted in a loss as expected, but the draw against Chelsea made this a very positive month overall.

November 2015
View attachment 237651November was a very disappointing month with just one point out of the three games. We also had to deal with a lot of injuries which didn't make the situation any better.

December 2015
View attachment 237650The month started off great with a win against Liverpool. The next few games showed our lack of efficiency with a draw against Stoke, followed by losses against West Ham and Crystal Palace, all matches which we could and should have won. Away games at Man Utd and Tottenham were tough and wasn't expected very much from, but we did manage to beat our West-London rivals QPR at home.

Premier League Standings
View attachment 237649With only a few wins in three months we have dropped down to 16th place, only a few points above the red line.

The month ahead
View attachment 237648It will be a packed month with some important games to come. We will start off January with a home game against Liverpool in the FA Cup. We will also be playing Aston Villa, Hull and Reading this month, all teams who are currently in the red zone. These games must be won to ensure our safety.

Newcastle Update - October to December

View attachment 237642

Positives - Winning our Europa League Group, winning the Tyne-Wear Derby

Negatives - Disappointing losses to Palace and Leicester, draws to Hull and Everton, our position in the Barclays Premier League

Position - 11th

Next Month

View attachment 237640

We face quite a few tough games, including Man Utd and Tottenham (not seen). We need to get points against Stoke and Fulham though, or we face mid-table mediocrity. Lack of Europa League will also benefit us, as there's no "Thursday Night" games. We expect to get far in the FA Cup, at least the 6th Round and this 3rd Round game will be a great benefit to rest our players vs Northampton. Also, in the Europa, we are against Napoli in the last 32, and if we win that, we will face St. Etienne or SLB in the Last 16.

Transfer List

Stefan Jovetic - Amazing striker, guaranteed goalscorer for Europa teams down, yours for £20m (£23.5m Market Value, 85k
wages)

Siem de Jong - Great CAM, doesn't fit tactic, just £7.5m (£8.25m Market Value, 35k wages)

Players Needed

Impressive CDM
Star-Studded LW
Anyone who is available for a real bargain value and wages wise.

Man City logic: Win the title, aim for top 4 next season...

Aston Villa update
Well, this month started pretty bad. A 2 - 0 loss to west brom, a game we should've been able to win was very disappointing. It only got harder from there on out however, as we faced Arsenal next game and lost by the same scoreline. We faced Dynamo Kiev in a throwaway match, we had already easily qualified but we managed to extend our unbeaten run in the europa league all the same. We drew Zenit as our opponents, which looked to be a tough match up but seeing as how the europa league fatigue has affected us, that might not be a bad thing. Then came a crushing 3 - 0 to liverpool, albeit an expected one. Finally we managed to win, beating Sunderland 2 - 0 thanks to a Joel Campbell brace. Campbell scored again in the 3 - 1 win over stoke that followed. Crystal palace we managed to beat 3 - 0, no mean feat away from home as well. Finally manchester united had to come along and ruin our momentum, but I fully expected a scoreline similar to the 4 - 1 loss we suffered. Thanks to those wins, we are now 18th in the table, up one place from 19th. If we win our game in hand - admittedly against chelsea - we can go level on points with 17th placed Sunderland.

Also, director of football Boris Johnson is pleased to announce that the following players are available:
Christian Benteke - ST - £7m opening price
Ashley Westwood - MC, DL - 500k
Vaclav Pilar - AMRL - £4m opening
Scott Sinclair - AMRL - Free
Carles Gil - AMC - 800k
Aly Cissokho - DL - £1m
Antonio Luna - DL - Free
Pretty much everyone else is available, just ask! We're having a flash sale ladies and gents!

The bluebirds are flying

It has been an amazing season for Cardiff so far and the last month has only improved things. At the end of December Cardiff sit in 7th place, that’s 12 places above their pre-season prediction of 19th. The club have to thank Charlie Austin for that as he is not only the teams top goal scorer but also the leagues overall top goal scorer on 14 goals. Cardiff have played 7 games in December and won the first 5 of them. They have lost their last 2 games however and will hope they don’t carry that form into the new year.

Everton 2 – 3 Cardiff

We took revenge against Everton who knocked us out of the Capital One cup by replicating the score line but this time in our favour. A first minute penalty by Ralls started the game off well and Macheda had doubled the lead in the 3rd minute. Although Everton drew the game level again we left with all 3 points thanks to another goal from Charlie Austin.

Cardiff 2 – 1 Hull

Goals from Guerra and Austin (of course) secured another 3 points for Cardiff and gives the manager Russell Slade the great
problem of having multiple strikers who seem to consistently pop up with goals.

Cardiff 2 – 1 Reading

Another 2 – 1 victory at home as goals from Orellana and Austin secure the game. Even a red card to Theophile-Catherine couldn’t stop Cardiff as the great form keeps going.

Leicester 2 – 3 Cardiff

This makes it the 4th game in a row where we have won by 1 goal. This time it was a late goal from Kenwyne Jones that secured the points. Earlier goals from Macheda and Austin had given us the lead. Jones’ goal meant that 4 different strikers had scored for the club this month and these seems to be one department that won’t need improvement in January

West Ham 1 – 4 Cardiff

A very impressive score line to cap an excellent run for the club that could see us meet our target of safety pretty early this season. The goals were spread around the team as there were 4 different scorers but of course Charlie Austin got another here. He has hit excellent form and must be a contender for signing of the season.

Man City 3 – 1 Cardiff

A disappointing score line but Man City were ruthless in this game. We created a few chances but Man City dominated possession and we were unable to stop their front line. While we are performing well above expected, this is a reminder that we are not title contenders in this league. Yet.

Cardiff 0 – 1 West Brom

A frustrating performance as West Brom were able to create 7 CCC’s. I have put this game down to tiredness from a very heavy month of football and I hope to never see a performance like this again.

In all a very impressive month with form dipping towards the end due to tiredness. With January now coming the club are looking towards potential transfers. We are looking for a left – footed left winger and possibly another centre back if the price is right.

This is our current transfer list.

Adam Le Fondre Free
Kenwyne Jones £1 Million
Eoin Doyle £2.5 Million
Anthony Pilkington £1 Million
Joe Mason £5 Million
Theophile – Catherine £2.5 Million

Crystal Palace announce Signing!!

Matt Smith "I would like to announce to the fans that we have confirmed a deal with the Aston Villa chairman for the purchase of Christian Benteke! I see the 25 year old as the perfect player to spearhead our attack for the remainder of the season and seasons to come (until I get greedy and decide to cash in on him...Meh, I like money and get bored easily!!).

Christian Benteke
View attachment 237586
Age: 25
Position: ST
Nationality: Belgian

Benteke has cost the club a record fee £10 million but I have all the faith in him being able to start paying that back straight away, in another currency...goals!

How this will effect the squad..
This will push Kenedy out onto the right wings where he was effective last season and hopefully he can continue he wonderful goal scoring form; the 20 year old has scored 10 premier league goals so far this season!

Crystal Palace will announce their transfer list in due time..

Thanks, that is all for now"

View attachment 237585Arsenal still top after busy Christmas period.
We had a very busy December, with 8 league games. Winning 7 of them is a huge feat, and means that we are still top of the league, although Chelsea are 2 points behind with 1 game in hand. Prince Harry has been delighted with the fact that the Arsenal defence has started to look good, and clean sheets were not hard to come by in the last month of the year.

View attachment 237583
QPR 2 - 0 Arsenal
In the first game of the month, we were thoroughly beaten by London rivals QPR. We really struggled to create anything, as we only managed 2 shots on target. James McCarthy getting sent off didn't help us either as we got a punch in the face right at the start of December.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Aston Villa
We got back on our feet instantly against struggling Aston Villa. First half goals from Özil and Cazorla gave us a solid win in a game where we completely dominated. Very pleasing to see a solid defensive performance, with good ratings for Ter Stegen, Kacheridi, Sakho and Gaya.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Newcastle
The third December game, and the third 2-0 home win! After 4 minutes, we were 2-0 up, thanks to goals from Özil and Cazorla again! A copy of last game! We managed to bring on one of those gritty cynical performances from that point on, and grabbed 3 points.

Tottenham 0 - 2 Arsenal
What a win! A fantastic performance yet again, and the 3rd clean sheet in a row! We also put a lot of distance between us and Sp*rs in the table. St Totteringham's day should be coming early this year! Özil scored for the third game in a row, and was helped by a Ramsey goal to give us another important victory.

Everton 0 - 2 Arsenal
5 games, 5 2-0 results! We grabbed another impressive victory at Goodison, and found some amazing form. Another clean sheet for Szczesny, who has really handled the pressure from getting a strong rival in Ter Stegen, and has been top class. Ramsey grabbed another goal, and Sanchez made sure we took all the points back to London. It was unfortunate to see our old player Gibbs getting sent off, but in the end, the result is what matters.

Arsenal 1 - 0 Hull
We had to struggle for this, but in the end Jack Wilshere proved to be the only goalscorer against a spirited Hull side, lead by a fantastic performance from captain Dawson. Once again, however, we were rock solid at the back, and Prince Harry, who voiced his concern about defensive unstability earlier this season, has to be pleased.

Reading 0 - 4 Arsenal
We saved our best performance for last, crushing relegation candidates Reading away from home. Sturridge got back on the scoresheet, netting a brace. Ramsey and Sterling also got themselves some goals, to round off the month with another clean sheet.

View attachment 237575
Arsenal 2 - 0 PSV
In a game we had to win to go through, we did just that. Aboubakar and Sterling scored the goals, and Sczcesny kept the clean sheet. This game was in the middle of our 2-0 spree, so if we include last month, and disregard our cup game, we had 7 games in a row that ended 2-0, winning 6 of them.

A win here made sure we made it through. And for once, we had the luck of the draw, getting Shakhtar when we could have had some very strong teams. We may well have a good chance at getting through!

View attachment 923870
Reading 3 - 0 Arsenal
Somehow, we were completely crushed by Reading here. We didn't start a very rotated lineup, but Ter Stegen had a shocker as we crashed out in the quarter finals. More time to focus on the league!

View attachment 237569Arsenal looking to get rid of deadwood

Transfer list:

Mateo Musacchio - £15M
Summer purchase, but after suffering a broken leg, he hasn't managed to fight back into the side.
Eugene Kacheridi - £15M
Very solid CB as well. Will not be sold if other defenders go, 4th choice atm.
Matteo Darmian - £10M
A very good full back, but won't get into our side. Has suffered a broken leg at the moment, and will be out for 3 months
Gabriel Paulista - £5M
Quality CB for a lot of PL-teams, available on the cheap!
Francis Coquelin - £500K
Homegrown defensive midfielder, a good option for several sides, but unfortunately not Arsenal-quality.

Loan list:

(Callum Chambers)
If we can't manage to sell any defenders, I might be willing to loan Chambers out, to ensure he gets playing time.

November & December

How to loose a title?

15 points from 30 is beyond a joke! Heartless performances away to Arsenal & West ham. We were so bad on our travels that over the two months it was not till the 30th of December we beat a team over 90 minutes
MK Dons almost ruin our League cup plans again but Falcao came off the bench to set up a Semi Final with Sheffield Wednesday. Reading and Sunderland are the other teams in the final 4 so this has become MUST WIN!
Champions League was much better and my minimum target of the last 16 has been met.

Premiership

Its late and it wasnt pretty so here a quick update.
View attachment 237565

All started really well but on the 26th minute our season started to go wrong as a 2 goal lead slipped away and what looked like a fight between title rivals ended 2-2, still a good result! The draw at West Brom was not as we recieved either was the thumping at Arsenal. Thrashing Sunderland gave us hope that in December we would be back on track.
Dont be daft! Draw at Anfield is never a bad result but being beaten by Palace and West Ham, letting in 3 goals each time is not what we expect from the top defensive unit in the league. Wins at home to Fulham and Stoke are expected but i'd have liked them to be more comfortable than by 74th minute winners from Lukaku & Pogba. A big win at Villa park in Benteke's last match with our 4 goals all coming in 16 minutes had better be a sign of the strike force getting going again.

Results were a disaster as you've seen from earlier posts Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea had monster months!

Champions League
Well done to the boys! Only Juventus took points off us and that was after we had won the group.
View attachment 237564

Inter in the last 16. Celtic would have been better but the 2nd seeds were nails this year. Genoa, Villarreal, Monaco & Shakhtar would all have been more at home as 2nd seeds than 1st.

Britania stadium set to be renamed Calleri Dome as the 1 man team has never been more apparent at the hands of Mr Rabona

4 wins against Sunderland, Palace, West Ham and a huge win against Everton helps us to the dizzy hights of 14th on 24 points.

Ok 90% of our success is down to Calleri but other new signing Mark Noble & Ezequiel Munoz have became sold parts of the spine of team Cruyff or Calleri depends on your outlook!
