Dog ****! Very lucky to get anything from that tbh. Not surprised with Dier and Livermore in CM. Rashford thrown out wide right. Lallana not being used to his best like at Pool. Just looked very unbalanced. And like Southgate trying to fit the best attacking playing in the side atm.

So where else do you put Rashford, he aint ready to lead the line. His pace is his best asset, its either wide or Impact Sub

so sad, watching england has never been so painful has it

He either starts up top or not at all for me.

Then in that game where its narrow and both teams are packed through the middle, not at all for a kid with 6 in 22 from CF at club level over Kane. No space for him to work and he aint big enough for the CBs to care.

put rashford in for sterling right now,not the finished article by any means but id trust him to provide better end product than sterling who is massively overrated.sterling will be first choice against better opponents im sure

It was Sterling's cross that lead to the equaliser while Rashford was pretty quiet for most of the game

Rashford is never gonna' be a lone target man. That's not his game. He needs to be playing off a target man using his pace in behind. But this 'he's nowhere near ready to play up top' ..... He should be. But he never will be if he's continually stuck out wide because 'he's rapid.'

For comparison, Origi, who's just as rapid, still has a LONG way to go to fulfil his potential consistently. But at least when he's played, he's played through the middle. Hard enough for youngsters to develop at the top level as it is but don't make it doubly harder by playing them out of position.

Smaller Nations should be put in their own qualifying group. Got the Germany- San Marion game on and it's 4 already within 40 minutes. And they've just hit the post. How are these minnows ever gonna' improve when they get annihilated every game?

Complete joke.

agree, its a total waste of everyones time.the chances of an upset are the same as england winning the WC in russia

International footie wants putting out of its misery period but that's a whole other discussion.

I mean Wales would have been in the bottom ten teams in Europe in 2011 and they got to the 2016 Euros semi finals so teams can make an improvement from the bottom and Andorra beat Hungary yesterday. But, to use San Marino as an example they will never improve as they have a tiny population and unless you literally move there as a one year old you can't get citizenship in time to play for them so no matter what they will never really improve
