A lot of people do, you can thank the geniuses who let the Terry thing carry on for so long, without thinking how much of a PR disaster it would be. Within last year every piece of writing i saw about Chelsea or England had it mentioned, its only cooling off now.

Of course in reality things are a lot worse i.e. in Italy not to mention some Eastern Europe countries, but that's media nowadays.

On the plus side there's sun over Warsaw so today's game should happen without further drama.

There is an amazing amount of point scoring going around, its ridiculous and misses the real issue.

Looking forward to this game, should be played in a much better light, on and off the pitch

Referencing the slave trade isn't really an accurate description of a modern britain.

I wonder why a black player with no history of controversy would show the middle finger to a crowd in a country with a history of racism at football matches?

DO you think maybe, just maybe he was provoked by some monkey chants?

Racism aside, how do you defend your fans throwing missiles at england players for 90 minutes?

I do not defending them. And there are not be monkey chants during the game. That chants are start on the end of game.

Are you seriously saying that everyone who heard them is grossly mistaken and that they are not racist monkey chants? Seriously?

I do not defending them. And there are not be monkey chants during the game. That chants are start on the end of game.

So, how about the kick from one of your players on one of ours in the tunnel? That's fine, is it?

Did you learn to defend your team/players/country from CJACKO's John Terry defensive argument!?

I like it.

Serbs are not racist.Maybe we are a nationalists and love our country but we are not racists. We are not colonized countries in Africa, we are not killed and tortured people in slaves(black people). We know which countries are doing all this bad things. These calls to the end of the match came as a reaction to the provocation England team player with the number 3, celebrating the winning goal for his team showed the middle finger to people on the stadium. That was the reason why the audience started with all those stupid chants.I do not justify the behavior of the audience, but they bought the provocation of this small players. And finally here is told that you are fight against racism.Tell me how it is that in the fight against racism Suarez and Terry receive different penalties?

Watch the video and try that defence again. he was abused attacked by your own technical staff.

You know they got different penalties for the differing severity.

[h=2]Italy v Serbia, October 2010[/h]Kick-off to this Euro 2012 qualifier in Genoa was delayed by 45 minutes due to battles between Serbian ultras and police in the city centre and on the way to the stadium. When the teams took to the field, masked men in the Serbian end smashed a glass safety barrier with iron bars before forcing the teams back into the tunnel by firing flares on to the pitch. The match lasted only six minutes before the referee abandoned it because of mayhem in the stands and the continuing cascade of flares and missiles.
Punishment Serbia were banned from taking fans to their remaining three away qualifiers and were ordered to play their next home match behind closed doors, but after an appeal by their next visitors, Northern Ireland, 250 away fans were allowed to attend. The sanction of having to play one further match behind closed doors was suspended and Uefa said it would be applied "if any comparable incident occurs in the next two years", meaning it could be triggered following last night's violence. The Serbia FA was fined £107,000. The Italian FA was fined £90,000 for inadequate security measures and given a suspended order to play one match behind closed doors.

[h=2]Serbia v England, 2007 Under-21 European Championship[/h]Serbian fans' monkey chanting of England's Nedum Onuoha was so obvious that the stadium announcer in Nijmegen appealed for them to stop. After Matt Derbyshire struck a late goal to make it 2-0 to England, Serbian players, who believed play should have been stopped due to an injury to Slobodan Rajkovic, reacted angrily and much aggressive jostling ensued. The acrimony continued after the final whistle, and it was alleged that England's Justin Hoyte was racially abused in the tunnel by opponents.
Punishment The Serbia FA was fined £16,000 for "the racist chanting of supporters and the improper conduct of their players". England were fined £2,000 for taking part in the brawl. After Serbia went on to reach the final, Uefa ordered the referee to stop the match if there was any repeat of racist chanting.

[h=2]Serbia v Wales, and Serbia Under-21 v Wales Under-21, August 2003[/h]Danny Gabbidon, Nathan Blake and Robert Earnshaw were abused during Wales's Euro 2004 qualifier against Serbia and Montenegro in Belgrade. "It was disappointing to hear what the lads had to contend with," Wales's then-manager Mark Hughes said. "Whether it was the whole stadium or just a minority is not the point. It's wrong in any form and just not acceptable." During the previous night's Under-21 contest between the same countries in Novi Sad, the Wales goalkeeper Jason Brown was targeted for similar abuse. "It's sad in this day and age, and it disappoints me that it can happen," Brown said afterwards. "I will have to consider whether I ask the FAW to complain on my behalf." The FAW did file a formal complaint.
Punishment The FA of Serbia & Montenegro was fined £11,000 for "the racist conduct of its supporters".

Are you gonna defend all that as well?

Monkey chant are started on the end of game(as reaction on midle finger) and I disapprove it . I do not support racism.I'm sick of identifying normal people with racist because of a few idiots.
Yes, I agree that our union should be punished (financially), to mention some of the sentences of 10 years are ridiculous.

We can also say that because of that there are racists in Germany, Russia, England, America, Spain, Poland and so on all the members of that people are racist. It's a stupid comparison. Many team fans cheering against dark-skinned players but they are not punished. If we have to fight against racism, then the rules must be the same for all(Suarez-Terry-again).
Greeting.

It started in the tunnel before the match. You have been punished financially, 3 times. You still carry on. That's why people are calling for a ban. Widespread abuse and attacks on players.

The Serbian FA have denied all charges of racist behaviour, and say DannyRose behaved in "inappropriate, unsportsmanlike & vulgar manner".

They make me sick. absolutely disgusting

Incorrect. A chelsea fan unleased racist abuse towards Drogba and has been banned from the stadium for life-there's been cases (in this country) of racist morons being turfed. there's been a major crackdown going on for a while now and will continue until the vast majority of these subhuman species are banned from stadiums

Now Sike. Tell me again how you dont have issues.

Feast your eyes on this article:

The Serbian Football Association have denied that their fans were guilty of aiming racist abuse at the England Under-21 team, and condemned Danny Rose's behaviour as "vulgar".

The win over Serbia was overshadowed by chaotic scenes at the end, with Danny Rose the target of racist abuse from the crowd and the home players kicking out at his team-mates and Steve Wigley, the assistant manager.
Rose was subsequently shown a red card for kicking the ball away, despite it happening after the final whistle. Rose later said he had been the target of racist abuse throughout, starting in the pre-match warm-up.

However, despite the video evidence the Serbian FA statement, which they translated into English, denied that their fans had been racist, and said the confrontation was isolated to the final minute of the match.

"The FA of Serbia absolutely refuses [sic] and denies that there were any occurrences of racism before and during the match at the stadium in Krusevac. Making connection between the seen incident – a fight between members of the two teams – and racism has absolutely no ground and we consider it to be a total malevolence. Unfortunately, after the fourth minute of the additional time and the victory goal scored by the guest team, unpleasant scenes were seen on the pitch. And while most of the English team players celebrated the score, their player number three, Danny Rose, behaved in inappropriate, unsportsmanlike and vulgar manner towards the supporters on the stands at the stadium in Krusevac, and for that he was shown a red card."

The statement maintained that the rest of the game, until the final minute, had been without incident.

"During each and every minute of the match, until the last one, a sport[ing] atmosphere, respecting fair-play [prevailed]…"
There was an apology, however, for the way Serbia players and staff confronted members of the England party.
"Football Association of Serbia apologises to the guests from England and the overall football community because of the unsportsmanlike behaviour of a part of the technical staff and players of the Serbian U-21 team. By this we inform the overall public that we will, as a matter of urgency, start an internal disciplinary procedure and punish the culprits after reviewing all the reports. It will be done whether a possible disciplinary procedure by the responsible Uefa bodies will be started or not.
"Furthermore, we will not either accept the fact that our players and members of the technical staff were provoked by the gesture of the English player Rose, since violence has no place at sports events. To be honest, we expect the same investigation from the English FA."

(from the Guardian)

We have a history of incidents and it can not be justified. But we are not racist. And I do not want to excuse those idiots stupid move.
What I am saying is that because of a few idiots whole nation is characterized as a racist. It bothers me.
I guess that you would have felt bad if someone were to call your nation racists because of a couple of idiots who do monkey chants.
A lot of people judge other people based on media and media stories. And we all know what the media do.
Once again, I vote for the decision to punish all parties to the incident.

Its too late for that. Look at the statement you FA puts out. It doesnt even recognise there was racism. Its more than just a few idiots. When your FA cant see the problem, do you now see why people are calling for bans? no one is saying all of Serbia is racist, but there is no denying you have a major issue, one that goes right to your FA

I was about to mention that bit-they apologised for the technical staff and players but not the fans. Sums up just how incredibly ignorant their FA is to the problem

Except I never argued that. I said that to you in the my last point. For some reason you ignored the context of my repy, and quoted only the first sentence. Immediately after I said I didnt dispute the number of players we create, and actually hihlighted the issue.

Oh, I didn't, I just didn't understand what exactly we were disagreeing on.

How are they miles ahead..... we have plenty of good prospects, Sterling, Caulker, Cleverley, Welbeck, Walker, A.Johnson (been wasted so far), Shelvey, Nick Powell, the list goes on and on.

Are you really telling me Sterling is going to be a much worse player than someone like Afellay? Get real please, Afellay is a good player but certainly not great.

If you think England are at the same level as Holland when it comes to youth, then it's you who should get real...

The fact that the Dutch are not quite where they should, that was my only bone of contention with what you posted. In terms of the current young player quality, England are not that far behind, but that's because this has been a very good time for England, and a poor time for the Dutch, relatively speaking. But in terms of the overall national set up, and actual methods of coaching, the Dutch are miles ahead.

FA General Statement Alex Horne has made a statement following the events in Serbia on Tuesday night where England Under-21s players were subjected to racial abuse.

“We were shocked and appalled by the disgraceful events that occurred in Serbia last night.

“Our players and staff were subjected to racial abuse, violence as well as missiles being thrown at them throughout the match. What occurred is inexcusable and not acceptable.

“After collating evidence from those present, including an FA crowd advisor, we are making a formal complaint to UEFA today (Wednesday).

“We call on UEFA to take the strongest possible action against the Serbian FA, their supporters and anyone found guilty of being involved in the numerous instances of violence and abuse.

“We have also been in contact with UEFA’s senior executives to express our deep concern at this matter.

“It is also clear that we must defend Danny Rose, who was sent off due to the frustration of being a target of racial abuse.

“FA officials made UEFA officials aware of racist abuse from sections of the crowd aimed at a number of England’s black players at half-time on Tuesday evening.

“This matter was discussed again during a meeting with UEFA after those disgraceful scenes which followed the final whistle.

“No football team should be asked to play in any environment where racial abuse, violence and threatening behaviour is prevalent. We must question the validity of sending a team to Serbia in the future.

“We look forward to UEFA dealing with last night's events as a matter of urgency.”

Call me a pessemist (sp) but I genuinely suspect UEFA won't do dam thing, simply because the idiots at the SFA have said there would be an urgent internal enquiry via an independent group who isn't from UEFA. UEFA haven't done anything about this before, so why the **** should they bother now? They're basically as much use as a chocolate teapot. The only way to do something is basically boycott. This sort of **** has been going on from their kind for far too long now and they've gotten away with blue murder.

I just find it also very laughable that anyone can even attempt to defend what happened. It's just....moronic beyond belief

Not to mention Wilshere, McEachran, Sturridge, Gibbs, Betrand etc. People are way too harsh on England. Yes perhaps our group of youngsters is not the best in comparison to other countries but it is certainly a very talented lot who can go far under the right guidance. Problem is that its mostly upto individual clubs now to look after their development rather than FA

Unsurprisingly the pitch is already cutting up-going to be an interesting match

Not liking the look of our starting 11 very much. I'll reserve judgement for now.

EDIT: not too keen on the way the game seems to be going either. Bad feeling not being dispelled.
