Only people who think England will win the world cup is the English media. At this rate England will be even lucky to qualify to the last 16:S
 
First of all, for those of you that are saying that England should implement a 4-2-3-1 to overflood the Algerian midfield that's already the case.

Gerrard cuts in from his wide position allowing Cole to become the fifth midfielder as an offensive wingback. But where the problem lies in building attacks is at Barry's expense. The man can't dictate pace to save his life, let alone run. He's been terrible so far, abosutely terrible.
 
This is entertaining after watching Liverpool all season long :P btw am a Liverpool fan.

but by going to conventional 4-2-3-1 the starting position of the 3 (partcularly gerrard) immediately pins back the wingbacks and the most defensive of the central mids, rather than running to pin them back. not only that, it puts gerraed in the heart of the game, and supporting rooney much better than from wide, and it creates a constant passing triangle for possession
