Goalkeeper
Oier Olazabal

I've been very impressed by this lad. Solid stats around the board. Good Composure & Decisions (which I conciser a priority for goalkeepers) as well as decent distribution/shot stopping skills. 23 years of age, still a young keeper learning his trade, I expect him to have an easy ride this season and finish (by a long mile) with the golden glove.

Jose manuel Pinto is the stand out goalkeeper in the squad but at 37 years of age and commanding a 47k p/w wage packet, he is not value for money and I trust Barcelona's long term future to Olazabal

Center Backs
Rodrigo Tarin
Sergi Gomez

What supprised me about Tarin was his great technical and passing ability. I want to play out from the back so these attributes work perfectly for me. Gomez is a star of the future and will be a stand out player

Wing Backs
Adriano
Martin Montoya

Easily our two best players. Adriano is on monster wages (94k p/w) but I can't seem to offload him and while he's here, might as well use him. He's contracted until 2017 so I either need to bring in some cash to pay his wages, or offload him cheaply. After some initial problems with Montoya, he's asked to be taken off the transfer list but with only 12 months left on his contract, I'm not sure If I can keep him.

Midfield Triangle
Sergi Sampar
Sergi Roberto
Ilie Sanchez Farras

What I targeted here was Creativity, Technique, Work Rate and Team Work. These three will be responsible for maintaining possession and recycling back, wide and forward. Sampar will sit in front of the back two while Roberto and Ilie will be given license to roam wherever they so choose. I need these two unhindered by tactical instruction and given the freedom to move into spaces to retain possession as well as creating those penetrating passing moves.

Front Three
Javi Espinosa
Denis Suarez
Dani Nieto

Off the ball, Creativity, First touch, Agility and Technique are what I prioritized here. Because of the limited space available in the final third and the quick, intricate passes I want my side to attempt, I needed a trio of excellent footballers up front. Espinosa and Nieto will play as classic inside forwards, looking to turn the defender as they move the ball on to their favored inside-foot, allowing space for Adriano/Montoya to aggressively run into wide spaces. Suarez will take the central deeper role. His job is to be the pivot: He will move with the team and keep both wings available for passing options by receiving the ball from midfield and looking for the inside runs of Nieto/Espinosa.

Looking good mate, Shame one of my favourite youngsters (Alex Grimaldo) to sign from Barca will miss out from the first team due to ****** Adriano.KIU

I also voice my opinion that i would love to have this Database!!! :D

just about to ask you if your be using barcelona youth players love the idea for this story hope you stick with it bredn have you kept xavi puyol too

I have one question, lets suppose you make your way up on a couple of divisions, and you are capable of buying for example Xavi, would you do it or only players of your youth team

Im gonna try and make my own database the same as this (I know it will be hard and upload it if i can pull it off)

My exams are finally over so I can return to FM and finally kick this save off. Sorry about the delay lads

Seems like an awesome idea and I can't wait for it to start. Good Luck!!

I love this scenario, once I saw the 500 euro fines and relegation to the 3rd division I was like googling "can Barcelona be relegated to the 3rd division"

Love the idea :)

The closest thing to derby I'll get in this division. There is huge history between Barca and Espanyol and
this match reminded us that it's still felt even in the 'B' teams.
