I'm sorry but that for me was the worst film of 2008. Incredibly boring and ridiculous story.
 
Wacthed the Godfather again.

I stick by my original rating of 7/10.

Its a good solid film which is entertaing enough but I dont see what the massive fuss over it is. Brandos prefermonce is good but I dont see how its one of best ever, all he does is put on a funny voice.

yeah ive always thought that about the godfather, its a good film but ive never been blown away with it. theres even better gangster films out there like casino or goodfellas n stuff but godfather is good dont get me wrong but people do seem to fuzz over it a bit much for me

just watch the sopranos if you want something like that - its the best show ever

and on the topic of films i just rewatched the shining for the first time in ages and its class
 
Ive been meaning to watch The Shining, ive saw the first 30-45 mins like 5 times on tv but never any more. I got it the other week so ill watch it soon probs.

Sopranos is second best :), The Wires best :) Just finsihed rewatxching SOpranos for 3rd time though, what a show.

I prob prefer godfather to casino, but Goodfellas is def better
 
ive just bought the new sopranos box set for one 80 quid from zavvi :wub: got extras n stuff iv just started my 3rd watch :)

and yeah the wire is in my top 5 too i reckon altho ive got the last 2 seasons to watch yet but i loved the first 3

watched dark knight for the 2nd time the other night too, it really is a good film
 
I was looking at the dvd extras the other day for some reason, they look pretty good :)

80 quid is pretty step considering I saw West Wing which is like twice the length and just as fapped over for 40 quid in Zavvi
 
well its cheap considering it was 150 the old version but this new edition of it is so nice, in a case and got a booklet n dvd menus and extras and commentaries and stuff and i really wanted to watch it on my new tv n stuff and id just got my loan so thought id treat myself
 
honestly godfather is a far better movie than casino or godfellas, only it is a drama and it is older casino is long and is the worst performance ever of sharon stone (so surprising) but goodfellas is a great movie more action orientated.
Anyway, scarface rules.
 
watched Vertogo the other night 7/10 and Top Gun last night 7/10 again
 
Films i've seen recently at the cinema are; Yes Man and Twilight. I enjoyed both of them, but though i thought Yes Man was funny it isn't a film i'd like to watch again.

Ooh i also watched Reign Of Fire last night wasn't too bad actually i thought Matthew McConaughey looked funny though. haha
 
Rewatchwed Ghost Dog last night.

good film and Ghost Dog is the coolest person ever, 7.5/10
 
I love to watch horror film, you could say that its one of my hobbies. I've just finished watching "1408" and considering I never bat an eye at most things (unless its that bit of Jaws, when the head falls out of the boat, that always makes my jump even though i know its coming) i found the first half of the film quite disturbing until i worked out what was exactly was going on.
 
watched Cloverfield, bit of Blaire witch about it and i felt as if i was there which i liked. 7/10
 
Watched Hunger tonight.

****** up.

Theres no dialogue for the first 45 mins, then a 15 minute 2 shot scene with Bobby Sands and his priest*...and then the strike begins.

Was hard to stick with at first as it was just mundane everydayish things happening but overall the first 45 mins set it up well although probably could have been halfed.

Anyway i give this film an 8 as it was very interesting. Left me feeling really weird, not like i could cry but just weird...maybe its all the caffine ive had today, but its pretty ****** up.

The idiots who call themselves Rangers fans should be made to watch this so they actually know what they are singing.


* just looked on imdb...Contains a 17.5 minute single shot, claimed to be a world record.

Watched Layer Cake for the 1st time last week, i'll give it a 8/10 because I liked it, I like watching British films and this was one of the better one's.
