Dont really fancy Avatar. Think the advert put me off. 'No 1 movie in the world' Thats a bold statement.

Well its not as if he's bomarding us with films, its his first movie since Titanic.
But you have to admit it's better than Michael Bay pumping out a unit every 9 months. Or however long it takes that douche to squeeze out a loaf.

Thats my point, its quality that counts to him not quantity. If making money was his only concern he would be knocking a film out every year,

dont go guys it has no storyline, i saw it about a week ago, is legion out in england yet, thats some good ****

Yep. He's similar to Stanley Kubrick in that sense. He may have only made a bit over a dozen films, but they are almost all in the IMDb Top 250. Not always a great measure of whether the film is that good, but in his case I think it fits.

Are we still talking Avatar here?

yes we are talking avatar, i thought it was over rated and had no storyline

"...had no storyline" That's true of almost no films. What you probably mean to say is that it's not a very original story. Now that is a more pertinent and accurate criticism in my book.

I never said he only does it for the money I just meant he has made the 2 highest grossing films of all time.

City of God - 8/10

Really enjoyed this. Loved the way it was filmed throughout, and the story was interesting too.

It's about crime and gangs in the Brazilian slums (Favelas).

Someking of Wonderfull - 7 Not normally my kind of film but was enjoyable enough.

Went to watch avatar last weekend 'sigh' wasnt as good as people said 5 or 6/10

Tried to watch District 9 like yesterday i couldnt even last the first ten minutes just not my cup of tea. It kind of reminded me of cloverfield which i didnt like but actually gave it a go and watched it to the end. After a few days i might give it another go.

District 9 doesn't continue in that way. I think it's only the opening 20 minutes or so that's filmed from that perspective.
