Shutter Island - 5/10. The only good point was Leanardo DiCaprio putting in a good performance, in a poor film

Hmm would you care to explain what was poor about it?

SHUTTER ISLAND. Not what you could call a typical Martin Scorsese film, nevertheless this was enjoyable and full of strange twists right up until the end. Id sort of guessed the main twist but that was mainly because i had seen a similar thing in an episode of the Twilight Zone. The main story plot is about a US Marshall (Leonardo DiCaprio) who goes to a mysterious lunatic asylum on Shutter Island in search for an escaped patient. Very enjoyable film. 8/10

I agree, 8/10 from me as well which (despite making me fall asleep) was very enjoyable and intriguing. Would of been a 9/10 if there wasn't a Calculon moment.

Previously I'd heard of a lot of people saying the film was a let down because the main twists were obvious. I feel they're missing the point, the twists are supposed to be predictable with a lot of clues (marhsall who can't handle a gun, interview scenes, etc..) and impressive build up to each one. This is Scorsese not M. Night Shyamalan.

Really edge of your seat stuff, with the plot twisting and turning all the time while not being too sudden. Each time it took a turn it really felt balanced and that it wasn't just trying to **** with your mind.

Really loved the ending as well. He had finally come to terms with the tragedy of his family's murder, but chose to be lobotomised because he couldn't cope with the weight of his and his wife's actions. Or maybe he did actually turn crazy again, who knows.

Went to see Karate Kid yesterday with the girlfriend. Long film but time passes quick. Good film and I will give it a 7/10.

Anyone want to reccommend me a good film, like a twist or a good action movie. Preferably one to that keeps you thinking..

Lucky Number Slevin, if you've not seen it.

Just finished watching Shutter Island :)

Not going to go into a review or anything, 7.5/10

Predictable outcomes, but may be intentional. Alot of what Lee said really.

Worth a watch.

Robocop - 7/10
What can I say, reminds me of happier times in my childhood. Cult classic although a bit cheesey still a good film. 'Can You Fly Bobby?!'

My ****** Valentine - 5/10
American horror the type they spout out 50 a year of not worth the time really.

Over The Top - 7/10
Not a typical Stallone film tho similar. Boxing replaced with arm wrestling, trying to win his sons love and a truck. Enjoyable manly film.

Gran Torino - 7/10
Well wrote, good plot wit hstrong characters. Alot of first time actors giving decent performances. Eastwood still the man with no name but well thats his thing. Well worth a watch.

I Love You, Man - 6/10
Not much to say about this really you either like this type of film if you dont.

Gamer - 6/10
Not for people with eppilepsy. From the directors of Crank directed in the say way and it didnt quite work out but interesting plot worth a watch for game fans which I suspect we all are. Worth mentioning a cameo appearance from Keith Jardine.

I watched The Damned United last night, I thought it was an interesting watch, makes me want to look more into the whole thing, read the book and Clough in general.

7/10 good watch

The Boat That Rocked

Great cast, and a very amusing watch. Plenty of comedy with a bit of emotion thrown in.

7.5/10

Saw Inception a few weeks back .... Good Film . Rather confusing tho ;)

7 / 10

Watched Dinner for Schmucks last night.

Has Steve Carell, Alan from the Hangover, Mike from FRIENDS in, and one of the guys from FOTC. Also Stephanie Szostak.

Bit of a stupid comedy but it's a reasonable watch, laughed a few times but again, stupid laughs. More serious parts got a bit boring, but still decent. 7/10.

I've just finished watching The Expendables :)

Yesterday, I saw Twilight and New Moon . Before yesterday I saw Salt with Angelina Jolie !
