If i may give a suggestion, Is it possible for a Best Non-European Story Award since the majority of the stories here are based in Europe and it may give players incentives to make a story outside Europe?

Yeah a story can win awards at both the half way & at the end. Incentive to keep those stories running!

An "off the beaten track" award (for lack of a better term) may be a possibility for the end of year awards for sure.

Just a little heads up, the "Short Story" award has been changed to the "Good Start" award, to encourage people who have made a start to their stories to keep going!

A short story award may return for the end of year awards if their is interest but for now lets hear some suggestions for your favourite new (Under 100 replies) story to pop up!

Its fine, not an official vote or nomination he's just making sure we are aware of his efforts.

It actually helps as there are so many stories to keep track of, its easy to miss someone/thing. So, personally, I don't care who throws it up, I will look at it. Has no influence on my decisions though.

The other awards:

Best new comer

Best presentation

Best writing

The good start award

Most dedicated follower

The judges will decide the final 4 for these but all awards will be won by a popular vote via a straw poll.

The end of year awards will be much more comprehensive, with many more awards & I really encourage everyone to make suggestions.

Good one Pat! Didn't realise SeanKeaney was a newcomer! Even more to think about.

Some of these awards are super competitive, its been so hard trying to decide on just 4. & that's without what we are missing!

Thanks for nomination! I think all my favourite stories have been nominated already, so I shan't repeat myself. This is a great idea too by the way, adds another incentive to write a story! I mean, obviously the main reason (for me at least) is because I've always enjoyed reading stories, and writing them has always been fun too, but to have the possibility of being recognized with an "award" is a great idea !

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will check them out. The "good start" award is going to be very tough to narrow down to 4. So many good stories I'd love to see continue!
