After that you can probably put another 500 or so in a group of 'very good' players so we should be able to speed things up towards the end. I think the hardest bit at the back end of the draft will be ensuring that your players haven't been picked up by someone else already.

Just realised ive picked "Croations Ronaldo" This is why FM Base on your phone is no good, I hope you know I meant Cristiano, otherwise I'l end up with a 18 year old Croation winger.... haha
 
Also I think someones pick should expire in a certain time. I'm one of the worst for occasionally not coming online for a day, so if it was my pick and I didn't come online for a day it's unfair on everyone else to wait. This will 1.Keep everyone active, 2.Not drag it out.

Theres 20 of us doing this right?

2 picks a round is the quickest way to get through it, but it's highly unfair on the 20th pick as he has missed out on 38 players before hand.

I don't think theres any other way though if we want to get it going!

I agree. Of course not an unreasonable amount of time, but it is a very vulnerable system if just one player can delay 15 others. If we miss one day each, we'll delay the whole draft over two weeks. And it's quite likely that every person might have one day during this period that we won't be in.

Yeah I think there should be a 10 hour window for your pick!

As this is the first round, i see no reason why he (or anyone else) cant be replaced if he fails to pick within, say 12 hours?

We could start taking names for a "reserves" list now.

The problem i see with taking someones pick away, especially in the first round, is that it will more than likely discourage the person more than motivate them & that will likely cause problems later.

For me its wait it out or give 'em the boot...

Later rounds, fair enough. Forfeit your pick & make it up at the end, but not first round. Just my opinion while we are talking about it.

This is what I think will happen. There are 16 of us. We each have 12 hour period to submit a pick. If we miss that then our pick is temporarily forfeited. HOWEVER, that pick can be reclaimed when that person logs back on (BUT they miss out on all of the players that were picked after their pick, motivating them to stay active). That is what we will do. Any questions, let me know.

12 hours is the time period.

Since it has been 12 hours, Aidan's pick is temporarily forfeited and now it is Bornexplorer's turn :) However, Aidan can reclaim that pick at any point.
 
Good move, let's hope Aidan comes back soon anyway, so he can get a decent pick!

Guys, just saying it's 1:30 AM in Yeti's timezone so I don't think we will be seeing any updates for a few hours, for all of the UK people, see if you can stay up as late as you can so that we can at least finish round 1 today and maybe start on round 2. Cheers guys!

BTW, round 2 starts from the bottom and is 2 players right?
