This is what happened in the Fulham game....

It was a really boring match tbh, with both sides struggling to create chances, intensified by the fact that there were no key events in the first half, and the second half was a struggle for us....... We were lucky to escape with a draw, or it could have been our first loss...... i m soo disappointed that I dont wanna say anyhting else.....


fast forward 3 days....

This is the result of the Norwich match.... unfortunately...

We were hammered 3-1, even when they had 2 disallowed goals, now that's embarrassing, I played Roberts over Smith as he was dead tired, also I was without Williams, who got injured in the last match, and uncharacteristically Lionheart made a lot of mistakes, so apparently we were also without a goalkeeper :( , our defence was horrible, our attacks were toothless.... we hardly managed to penetrate there defence.....

our last 4 matches have finished 1-0, 1-0, 1-1, and 3-1 which makes me wonder if something is wrong with my tactic, If the next match has a bad result, i would be looking to change the tactic.......

I m depressed :'(:S

First start for me, and first loss :\ not a good omen. Still I got one of the higher ratings so I've got that going for me.

I made a **** lot of changes to the starting eleven after that loss to norwich, and thank god i brought matt back, coz he was the one who scored a brace and gave us some hope, also keeping Middleton was a good move as he assisted matt for one of the goals, this is the match where I felt the draw was undeserved we should have won, especially after lewie's goal was disallowed...... I was very very very disappointed with our captain Lionheart, as we lost the game because of him, i know that's a bit harsh but what can u expect when u take a free kick from ur half and it lands onto the feet of the opposition player, who scores into an empty net from the half-line....... yes that's what Lionheart did for the second goal, the first goal was also a mistake by him as he tried to fist a cross which landed straight into the path of pritchrad, who slotted home into an empty net.......

I M DISAPPOINTED LIONHEART........


also if anyone wants to give any suggestions tactically they r welcome, coz i feel my tactic is the reason for this poor form.....

I wont play for some hours now, so u can send in ur advices if u want...

Our best CB is out!!! no disrespect to others, I just feel that way coz he was our best defensive player so far...

You could do a 4-1(DM)-3(CM)-2? Or if you wanted a CAM, you could take out ST and put it in CAM. Also, can I be retrained into CAM (Lewie Roberts) and a Loan Request (Jay Roberts) please?

Okay. Retain Possession, Shorter passing, Work ball into box, Get stuck in, Lower Tempo. :)
 
Also, depending on how you play, you could do Play Wider/Narrower and Exploit Flanks/Left/Right/Middle and Overlap as well. As well as the Control mentality and IDK Fluidity.
 
also i generally do that...... bt always get lost with the shape like narrow or wide, cn u suggest it?
 
Shame about the lack of proper wingers, as it could be the lack of width holding us back a little at times. Only got the one in Daniel Entwistle, as we could have gone 4-4-2. Maybe try a 5-3-2? Give us fullbacks/wingback a bit more freedom to bomb forward perhaps.

we do lack width sometime.......... that's a good point 5-3-2 could be used :)
 
Could be worth throwing it in the third slot next to the 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-1-3-2. Also Cheah would make a fantastic ball playing defender (when he's back from injury) so sticking him in the heart of the defence with license for more direct passing could spring quicker counters. It'll mean no DLP in midfielder, so midfield trio could be something like CM(s) - AP(a) - CM(d), then whichever the best roles for our forwards are. Team instructions; play wider, exploit flanks, quicker tempo, pass into space, hassle opponents, run at defence - attack mentality and balanced philosophy. I know you wanted possession football but its good to have the variety there to sometimes surprise your opponents :).
