My windowed mode still isn't working either. :( Re-started Steam but there's no update.

Bit annoying. Loving it otherwise though. :D

New player interactions are outstanding, so many options. Just signed an Italian for Arsenal, the press say 'Will you be asking Viviano to help' and unlike previous FM's you can actually ask them to do it! Brilliant.

First impressions for me are pretty good, no bugs or crashes so far. Saying that, I am still not keen on the white skin though. Other than that, just the fixtures have annoyed me so far, ruining my great start to the season lol

Same here, except so far I have drawn 1-1 with both Chelsea and Man City, quite a solid start.

In fact, our fixtures aren't quite identical, my first four PL games are Chelsea (A), Man City (H), Arsenal (A), Liverpool (H)

All good up to now on my Linux (ubuntu) classic game. Certainly feels quicker even with 3 leagues compared to fm13 on same processor. Love the new skin. Has an apple iOS7 feel about it......but not in VGA 8-colour mode apple use ;)

assistant manager certainly has more input during the game. Not sure whether to apply his advice or not at the moment.

Like the fact transfer deadline day has been added to classic mode.

Problems I have found are upto now are (couldn't resist)

Can not seem to find the saved formations which were on the left on the tactics screen.

Can not comment on the match graphics as beta is set on low as default and if I change to recommended it dudders during games. Will wait and see on this one.

Assistant manger comments disappear too quick during the game.

Anyone know how to have a set Playmaker and Target Man for your team?

And also, is there any way to make a player more defensive or more attacking without changing their player roles. I'm Swansea, and I want Britton to play deeper and Michu to play higher up and also to make runs into the box.

Interesting to see the level of input Assistant Managers now have, gonna try letting him do everything as a test to see how he copes

tbh,I love it.The new additions are great and it feels so much more modern.Although I think the beta is basically the finished game, because si cba to playtest it lol

I'm struggling with Liverpool so much. Can anyone help me with the tactic in away games?

You dont specifically set a targetman/playmaker like that any more. The roles will actually determine that function. I.e poachers are treated with having run onto ball supply.

2nd one. If you cannot do it using the role and the player instructions there, then you've probably picked the wrong role to start off with.

I'm guessing you are using Michu at AMC? And want him breaking to get goals? Shadow Striker

We have a whole room full of play testers over here at SI towers! :) So no need to worry about that, but the general user input is invaluable, as there is obviously a far higher amount of people on the beta now than there are playtesters at SI.

One huge advantage with any large scale beta is the myriad of different computer systems and specs people are using, it's invaluable. You just don't get that on a closed program, in fact, you'll often find in house testing done on only 3-4 different types of system at most.

It's a win win for the customer, pre-order and you have the advantage of playing early along with providing key input. It's also a win win for the developer.

i skipped on 2013 and have played 2012 a while. hopefully the beta gets me back into fm.
