Semi finals of a European cup! Your patience is paying off, that is some achievement. From tier nine to a European semi final in 15ish years... wow.

Our run has been favourable if i'm honest. Atletico Madrid look insanley strong though.....

I've just started this with Glasshoughton welfare as my champions league challenge has messed up. My current team :View attachment 304201View attachment 304202

Im finding it difficult trying to keep players as im only an amateur team. any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Might do a story depending how it turns out

Everyone is reporting issues with starting amateur, Guernsey start semi pro so i don't have any advice for amateur sorry. Unless the board will turn you semi pro?

Great tread.

I always liked to build teams from the bottom. In FM 2012 I took Dover to be the number one club in the world, the year before that Fleetwood was the team and so on. This year my focus is on San Marino but this is good reading. Keep up the good work:-)

I did San Marino and Chorley last year :)

I was worried how strong Atletico looked, my theory was proven right away from home.

At 2-1 we were still in it but an 89th minute 3rd broke our hearts.

We may of won here but we still lose on aggregte. MOM for our keeper tells it's own story here. Without his inspired form we would of lost by 3 or 4.

So the journey ends for another season. We got further than i dared dream. Here is all our Europa League results.

The West Ham game marked this occasion.

The Southampton game, was game of the year for neutrals without doubt. 3 goals in the first 5 minutes.

I set a goal of 9th at the start of the season. We finished 8th, 1 better progress is being made.

Here are player stats for the season. Lunardi and Salt leading the way. Pavanello on the left wing may find himself dropped next year 5 assists is not good enough, Even more so when Brazil on the right flank assisted 17. Stacy Salt has shown he has a violent streak with 2 red cards this season. Dwight Druce has also dissapointed me this season.

Nice story :)

Just realised Guernsey are in the same league as my Croydon F.C. team that I've started with. They have some reasonable players in there, including an ex Cambridge United player (Mbiye).

I assume that when you started you gave yourself better youth facilities etc. Terrific achievements anyway!

Well done in the league cup.
Thanks.

No, Guernseys facilities are very good for the league and for about 6 seasons the board did not tell me no on updatin g them. Currently they are upgrading everything at least once a yeaer, the sort of board i like :)

Another fruitful youth intake. Not as good as last season but still excellent. 6 players i think will be starters. Truth be told, not a bad player in this intake. All will be offered youth contracts the highlighted 6 wil be offered full contracts.

Simon Bradshaw
Has more potential than my coaches see IMO. I'll see how he develops in the youth team then on loan.
SimonBradshaw_OverviewAttributes.png

Nicholas Herrera
Continues our tradition of great dual nationals, Having English/Jamaican nationality. Either footed and can play either wing. Looking to loan him soon as possible for first team experience..
NicholasHerrera_OverviewAttributes.png

Nial Kirkwood
We are already strong upfront. This kid looks more bench material to me. I'm prepared to give him chance to show me otherwise, the loan market awaits.
NialKirkwood_OverviewAttributes.png

Hazeley Kentish
With some improvment to the finishing stat he would be our second maybe first choice striker. Oozes quality maybe 1 loan but i'd like to personally oversee his development. Has dual English/Antiguan nationality.

Grant Harrington

Plays in our strongest position unforunatley for him. He is young though at only 15 so has time to show me what contribution he can make.

Ade Theodosiou
A huge slab of a defender. Already as good as Vicentini and not far off Lunardi. Will be my main defensive cover untill he matures a bit more.

Sorry about the pictures, Forgot to SS the players so all the pictures are a bit further in the game than they should be.

How the **** is that central defender's value 10.75m at age 16....

His value didn't start like that, I forgot to take the pictures when they youth intake came through so the picture is 4 months late. I've had a scary amount of interest in him since, It's seen his value rise steadily. I've never come across it before though either. For what it's worth his value isn't that anymore. Dropped once he went out on loan.

Brilliant in the league and the Europa League. That CB looks like he'll be one of if not the best in world.

If he is performing well for you why sell? He is brilliant and will only improve.

What do we think of this? Yes or no?

No way. He's young, fast and skilled as well as can play in an insane amount of positions, he's brilliant for you and is the best defensive utility player I've ever seen, probably world class. That level of versatility with such a limited player pool is invaluable.
