Nice very nice - your defence seems better than mine somehow. The optimization for defence that Mr.Langvatn created certainly still works in this one - often I see teams not having any chances or have one shot at goal just like in the 442 trippletweaked - unfortunately the opponents tend to score one goal in one chance - which I dislike, but it happens. I.m currently getting on to 60 wins in a row, so the tactic certainly has a high consistancy rate when it comes to accumulating points. Offensively I personally like it more than the original, for me its more smooth and gets to the point faster - scoring goals.

I recommend - a good throwin taker - and ofcause some good towering defenders to execute corners and throwins - I reckon its ok to have towering strikers as well, but most important of all that is a cornerkick specialist, someone who is exellent at taking corners - for me that is a striker.

Do you keep using the teamwork Ossis?

Would be interesting to see other tactics how they cope on the teamwork setting

Cheers

In regards the opposition having 1 chance and scoring it does happen to me.. Although I just played RM away and had 3 shots at goal and 3 shots on target.. Won the game 3-0 with less possession than RM, so I guess can work both ways.

I have used teamwork since the 4th game of the season.

I'm willing to die too - yayyyy - I sacrifice myself :P

I will keep it at teamwork - to see what the end result will be.

Tip: if you get a man sent off (red carded) then I recommend to position your favourite striker in the centre and sub the other and cover the position that got red carded. Just beat Getafe 6-0 10 men for 80 minutes - I'm certain that we could easily turn this into a 1 striker formation with huge success - where to position the last man I don't know though - maybe a freak position SL or SR or SW, the DMC is already cliche in my opinion and will obviously work well - CAM maybe, like a towring CAM that flick on headers to the striker :) I like that idea, but I'm not in the mood to change things up right now, I'm to happy with how this is going. What would excite me - if we tried the teamwork on other successful tactics, I'm already thinking to try BBM with this, but it really depends on the players I have available etc.

Cheers guys

1st season finished with new tactic and only 1 defeat in CL away 2-1 to FC Twente who are a very good side in this save. Won all competitions entered in. Did break 2 records along the way though. 1st one being only having 12 goals scored against me in the league and 2nd only conceding 26 goals in all competitions, which is I think 65 games! So work well with defence. Attack wise is good as well, although came close to my record but did not beat it. A couple of SS's of league and overview of season.

I count this as good news - did you like the play on the pitch?

I personally love the direct style, but its not for everyone, but its like this through balls work better when using a direct style of football, and I love through balls. The teamwork match prep has also been an eye opener for me and I'm very happy to say it gets the best out of what you got. I have won all matches in this current season I'm soon coming too february, I know that two of my players are modified, but the rest are not and some of them regents, my defender regent that took over for DEDE has scored over 20 goals in about the same amount of matches all from corners - hes a beast. I'm getting high average rates across the board even from my reserve players when they play - thats exellent. My season is a very good season and could lead to 200 goals in the league if it keeps up, so far its about 6 goals a game on average which is obviously insane, but I also think my players are amazing and very specialized - for instance with midfielders I tend to work on their box to box for a bit to get them good workrate strenght and when im satisfied I switch to a complete forward schedule to perfect them - along with that I tutor the best talents alot more than once sometimes - I have a couple of midfielders that has been tutored by F.Lampard and they have turned out to look very simular to him, but quick as well - its exellent. Wingers is very straight forward - the wing schedule work great and turns them into dribbling monsters and along with tutoring and a switch to complete forward they will often look simular to James Rodrigues when he is fully developed.

I'll let you know how I will continue my fair, to bwomper - you should really try and adjust the passing to 15 direct style and give the players through balls often - all of them- then teamwork for match prep as an experience - I think records is in those settings :)

Cheers

I will be honest and say at first I was not feeling the tactic visually. It did once I was at to die for, is very direct and I got to enjoy watching some very good football visually.

I have gone for a bigger turnover of players at Espanyol for the coming season, so I don't expect to be at anything other than strong understanding at the start of the season. So perhaps won't get to die for until maybe end of the year. Also doubt that I will concede as few goals again, but feel it may well score more this season.

Just lost my 1st choice goalie after he got injured playing for France in the World Cup, so will have to go with a 19 year old wonderkid in goal for about 3 months. Could be a positive as I will be able to see how much he can progress from a prolonged time in the 1st team.

Yea it is very direct and if the players are not good passers that will hurt visually - decisions and creativity very important as well as passing in this one. My superstar defender Coulson (regent) he has 9 in passing which I don't like especially in this tactic, but he performs still, but a more creative defender should be able to split the opponents defence from deep I see that happen often, but the main in the tactic is to challenge with dribblings from deep (charge the opponent) and pass as little as possible to get into the opponents half and score. This is also why I say that this tactic can most like not work for a poor team, as many attributes needed to succeed.

I'm personally sticking with it for now - only because of the success ratio - I still have won all my matches - every single one of them, which is obviously impressive. I would actually like to try something different, but I can't let this run be incomplete :)

Just loaned out my reserve striker (regent) for 1.2m pounds a month to Tottenham - mind blowing that. I couldn't reject that - I just promoted another striker for the 1st team with simular traits.

I noticed that right fullbacks are rare if you want them to be like Azpilicueta and that's just to bad - well Danilo whos my backup comes close, but the likes of Corchia - De Sciglio are not near to be as good as Azpilicueta - Carvajal maybe challenge him, but impossible to get for Barca. So this could get me back to Frankenstein in a few seasons, I have amazing talented strikers and wingers that could be up for this, but I might just create a new tactic to fit it all in neatly :) one thing is for certain its gonna be direct.

Cheers

this is the longest winning run I have ever had

View attachment 221100 View attachment 221099

I have had longer without being beaten, but this is still decent ofcause. I'm in march - still many matches left, but its getting closer and closer - we drew PSG in the champions league quarter finals and that could be potentially a team that ends this record. Celta came very close in a thrilling 3-2 win away from home, the rest has been walk overs - I also have RMA in the cup final where I use the regents and some of those players that don't get as much playing time - so that's another potential match that can end the record. Oh well lets see what happens - it will end at one point that's for sure, but when I cannot say :) oh and we still score very consistantly around 6 gls a game, which is alot - I blame it on teamwork match prep, I think other tactics can do this even better than this one.

Cheers

While I am getting Espanyol from end of season to start of next season (as it does take me about 6 hours to do this and thought I would again do all this in stages) I decided to start a new save and used the custom database at the start of the save. Tells better from link below.

FM 2013 Lower League Guide

I am playing with only Spanish leagues loaded (Makes save faster) and am playing as Cartagena in the lowest league, B4 I think.. Will have season finished sometime today. So will post the conclusion later!

That will be very interesting to hear how you go - if you are following the above guide you posted then you should be successful. Just a foolish question though - are you using the new 442? - though I love the tactic I have to admit I can have my doubts on how it will go on a lower league level, but if you do manage to get some of the best players it might turn out great, but I'm not certain because of the high demands in the passing game.

Anyway looking forward to see some fantastic updates from this journey - I might go lower league level to as an addon next season.

My run is still ongoing at 90 wins in a row - beat both PSG and Man.city home and away - the away match against Man.city we only won 1-0, but they were pathetic, not looking like a top team of any sort, so in a few matches its ATH Madrid away the next team that could stop the run if that doesn't happen their I think it will continue towards the next season and will be my best ever season in terms of success (all wins)

Cheers guys

Yes using the new 442 tactic and is going extremely well. I only brought in 2 loan players as there is no money to spend but thought I'd just do an experiment with this team. Was media prediction 1st and that should be the goal. Have just beaten Levente in Copa Del Rey over 2 legs and they are a La Liga team of course. Should have season over later today. Passing is not up to the standard of Espanyol but it is lower league players so was not expecting it to look anywhere near as good, but it didn't look good at the atart but got to December and a strong understanding and looked better. Have just achieved to die for with 12 games to play so it should look and perform better from this point. Will update on how the season goes!

Update on Cartangena. League season is over and now seems I have to go into a play off with other 1st place teams. 2 leg S/F and Final to get promotion.

Some screenshots of season as it went very well.

Copa Del Ray. Drew RM in Q/Final but did well to reach that stage.

It did better than I thought it would have done. Visually of course not as good as Espanyol, but did look a lot better in last 12 games of season. So I would say that it can work with lower league teams, just feel you need to be a top side in that league though to be able to do so!

Will update on play offs once they have been completed!

Fantastic - I'm really surprised myself, but I then just have to say the Langvatn framework in defence is working brilliant, I don't know if the normal 442 trippletweaked would get as good results as this on this level, but for sure I didn't destroy the original :) -
I do think the attack works better, and for sure the two strikers work brilliantly if they are of quality.

It will be interesting to follow how you go - going forward both with the playoffs, but hopefully also in the segunda division next season and then see if you can improve the team for the future. The cup run you had is amazing too.

Cheers

The cup run to be truthful, shocked and surprised me. 1st 2 games I thought yes should win, but getting to Q/Final was a nice shock!

Play Offs concluded and in truth here, I am not sure my heart can take those again lol Succeeded and got promotion but was far from an easy accomplishment.

Well done mate - that was a very thrilling semi final especially - could have gone wrong right their. It will be interesting to see how you will fair in the 2nd division and maybe do even better in the copa del rey - this is a fun journey to witness :) - I also thought it was very worth noticing the amount of points you accumulated and how many goals your strikers got, that's impressive for that level. That's a well functioning 442.

Following this very closely

Cheers and thanks for testing this

The S/Final I will admit that I was hanging on and watching the clock go down as we were under pressure the whole half and yet we withstood the barrage, thankfully. In a way kind of lucky to survive but in another way deserved the win by away goals by standing firm in the 2nd half of that match..

My season has ended too - it went pretty well and I must say my best ever season in many ways!!!

!!!!!!ALL WINS!!!!!

Jeez that's alot - yea their was the copa del rey final that actually went into extra time and I thought ok the run ends their - I was using the reserves against Real Madrid, but we won in extra time and for me it wouldn't count if drawn after 90 minutes, but in the game if you win in extra time it counts as a victory - so I'm still on a winning run 98 wins in a row now - insane run this one - I'm gonna have to stick with this tactic for the next season as well, but I might look into managing an extra team maybe a poor team in a different league Danish 3rd division perhaps lol - If you know Hamlet and Elsinor their team is in the 3rd division and actually called FC Helsingor - could be an oportunity :)

The league table 38 wins second year in a row - so 76 wins in the league in a row - not counting previous seasons just these two seasons using this tactic.

View attachment 221007 View attachment 221006

The fixtures - their was several matches where it wasn't easy - or I had problems with injuries or suspensions, but managed to pull through - their was a 13-0 win against Alaves the worst team in la liga - so I didn't really count that as being amazing they were very poor compared to the rest of the teams. Also I think sometimes away from home can be a little difficult against some sides, but I think that will easier in the future.

View attachment 221005

Yea wanted to show you the average rates and the amount of goals and assists from the different players - Yes Maupay and Machado is the most heavily modified players - other players that I have modified is tiny bits like giving Messi 20 in pace instead of 15 - for me Messi is one of the fastest players alive. I have not touched the regents - but they have been heavily through some painful tutoring with Frank Lampard Dirk Kuyt Lorik Cana etc etc - Next season I get Tevez as a tutor and Van Persie so I hope I can develop some great talent using them for that. Pogba I heard a commentator say he's touted to be the next Zidane - that made me modify some of his attributes like creativity and decisions - don't know if I went wrong with that.

View attachment 221004

Coulson superstar regent - Been tutored by Kara and maybe DEDE -, but in truth he was an insane talent when I bought him - in any other club they would have used him I think. I have trained him on defender schedule until his strenght was very high - then I switched to the sweeper schedule - which gives him acceleration and anticipation - I think he is the best defender I have ever had and 39 goals is insane as well, but remember he did have help in Machado who is an exellent corner kick taker - you need both for succeeding on the corner. Zouma who was a backup defender scored 20 from corners using him in the same position as Coulson the regent.

View attachment 221003

Atoui - Lampard tutored several times - to be honest I have wanted to use him many times, but didn't because I have the perfect match Pogba and Ramsey - best midfielder couple I have seen from ingame talent - if given the chance though Atoui probably will fit right in. Along with the tutoring I have used the Box to Box schedule untill key stats was satisfactory - workrate especially then I switched to the complete forward schedule to improve his creativity stat which I love the midfielders to have in order for me to consider them for the matches. Now I think Atoui look really good, he was actually lacking in the strenght department, but after I changed to the complete forward schedule he started to improve the strenght as well along with many other attributes.

View attachment 221002

Olivier - I believe I tutored him once by Lampard - He was promoted to the first team first and was given matches first and developed before Atoui - I think they both all three of them look wonderful :)

View attachment 221001

Fernandez - Koke's backup on the right midfield - tutored by Messi and as you can see look very beasty - he's a spanish international even though I use him as a backup, so that's awesome.

View attachment 221000

Clemente de Rosa - now you probably think that he looks modified, but honestly I did modify him, but just his pace by 2 points and his strenght by 1 point and his Flair by 4 points - everything else you see is his real talent - he has a huge potential that's why he looks insane, but even worse I don't like him - its terrible to say, but something in him I get put off when watching him play, so I right now plan to get rid of him, when I feel I get the right amount of money for him. I find it that Technique quickness Flair is some great attributes to harness in a player when you want a rock'n roll superstar in game :) De Rosa is more of a Italian pop idol :) -

Anyway this is what I got - Portugal is also undefeated - but as you know they have Machado and CR7 they defeated Spain away from home 3-2 I still consider that a strong result even though I have Machado or CR7 as a couple, other positions are of less quality - the secret goal though is to become world champions :) so I can freakin goto paradise - France as manager :)

Cheers guys
