Second of all. You're Newcastle and you just got promoted. Do you see any just-promoted teams get straight to Europe or something? Maybe your expectations is too high.
See the first pages.. There are better managers posthing their. Chris for example leads his Newcastle team really well. With the right players and yours involvement into the game (like not just plug n play) maybe you can get half the result he got.

And can you help me to set player and team to have a good result when i use this tactic.

What I can get is that you have brought a lot of new players into the team. More than half is new players right. You'll need gelling. With that amount of players you'll gonna need half a season or so.
Seriously.. A lot of new players+new tactic = bad string of results in earlier period.
So just bare on it, or you can try another tactic but I don't think it'll help much with the adapting thingy
You say to change the width, tempo etc when playing on narrow pitches, how so?

Im also nottingham forest, my second season going in the prem now, basically the players probably arnt good enough if their still the orginial squad! I just reverted to this tactic after clough tactics have stopped working against prem teams, 2 games to the good so far!
Well I've been trying to crack on this pitch-width/dline theory for a while now but really it's too difficult to be explained. My mates idea and I don't understand it too really
Basically on away games most of the time your assitant manager will provide a width,tempo,dline analysis on the pre-match advise meeting so follow him on that.
What I can just give now is when you are a big team and up against Wolves or those kind of teams. Play slow, short passing, more width, and higher roaming to break down their tight defense. Otherwise you'll ended up in 0-0 draw.
Great Tactic man , took 2 games to get it into but after that i scored 4 goals.
Im Piacenza in Serie B , i took them over half way through the season and theyre currently lieing 2nd from bottom , hopefully your tactic can save me

If I were you I'll gonna focus on getting the team morale back up first. Being 2nd team from bottom is harsh and it'll be a challenge.
