Within the first 2 minutes of the game, David Villa broke his goal drought with a sliding effort inside the 6 yard box following a Di Maria centre to give Liverpool an early lead. But just 2 minutes later Newcastle are back into it following Falcao’s header from a corner. What a start to the game; two goals in the first 5 minutes! Both teams tightened up after that and it took till the 15th minute for any more action as Liverpool’s Villa tested Newcastle keeper Mandanda. Just seconds later van der Vaart almost gave the visitors the lead but again Mandanda saved. Newcastle were struggling to find a way through the Liverpool backline until Neymar’s freekick produced a truly outstanding save from Reina after 28 minutes. And Neymar again went close with a header just minutes later but his header flew over from 8 yards. Falcao and hamsik went close for Newcastle as they took the game to Liverpool but at half time it remained one apiece. After the restart, Hamsik should have given Newcastle the lead but his shot from 10 yards went agonisingly wide. But Liverpool also looked dangerous as Villa went close seconds later. But it was Newcastle who looked more dominant and Neymar was a constant thorn in Liverpool’s side, beating men time and again with little bits of skill and pace but he just couldn’t find the much needed end product, wasting chance after chance he created himself leaving manager Villas Boas with no choice other than to sub him for Robben. Newcastle dominated the half but just couldn’t find a way through and it finished all square.

La Cosa Nostra started the game brightly and Donovan smashed the ball against the underside of the crossbar only for it to bounce clear after just a minute of the game. But then a moment of madness from The Romans’ Tevez has his tackle from behind saw a red card produced and The Romans were down to 10 men with 85 minutes still to play. The red card didn’t stop The Romans from attacking though and Aguero fired just past the post from range. But inevitably La Cosa Nostra made their man advantage pay as Donovan opened the scoring after 22 minutes. 6 minutes later and Donovan made it 2 for him and 2 for La Cosa Nostra and it was looking hopeless for The Romans. A trip by the Romans’ Sagna in the box gave Donovan the chance for his hattrick but Akinfeev saved it and Conca knocked the rebound wide. It was all Cosa Nostra but it remained 2-0 at half time. Minutes after the restart Donovan hit the bar from range for la Cosa as his hattrick continued to elude him, but surely it was only a matter of time. It’s still all La Cosa and Nocerino hits the bar with a delicate chip and Conca does well the get to the rebound, turn, and fire into the top corner on 63 minutes. It went down as an own goal for Naldo but surely they’ll give that one to Conca. Higuain almost gave The Romans the perfect response to the third but his shot just went wide after a rare attack. But Aguero did give The Romans the goal they craved, beating Casillas at his near post with a low drive. La Cosa were looking as if they were settling for 3-1, and that proved dangerous as Aguero hit the post for the Romans and Hangeland headed over. But La Cosa held on and take a vital win.

Really unhappy that we let Mourinho go, but i've liked Hector Cuper ever since his Valencia days... Hopefully he'll find back to that winning formula with my team :)

As for transfers, it looks like a bargain getting Luis Suarez, and our start to the league campaign is pretty good :)

Oh yeah, and Kenrry, 3-1 win for me again... Are you gonna blame the back-up keeper once again? :D

Gutted, absolutely gutted about selling Hazard. Badelji is a good signing, but what a loss he is.

Much better start to the season this time, this is our year.. I can feel it. Going to sign Ganso in January too :p

Sold my Star player for 11M. Great work getting Pato and Robinho but not too sure about Ronaldo. Great player but not too happy seeing him in Liverpool red. Need to improve a lot to pick up the pace.

Hope you're all enjoying this!

Are there any suggestions for improvements to this? Let me know and I'll see what I can do
