Hi Mojodex, how do you find these amazing players for so little money? How do you scout? What kind of search filters do you use? I find myself just going to search players and picking a player from near the top of the "recommended" list.

From my experience the bets players are rarley at the top, unless you are managing a huge club like Barcelona. Usually I want natural fitness of 15 pace of 15 and workrate of 15. most players who have those areas covered seem to cover everything else all on there own. Of course this isn't a hard and fast rule allowances need to be made for youth.
 
This season i have elected to move my centre midfielder up into an attacking midfield role, Hopefully it can increase our already excellent goal return. Renato should plug our slightly leaky defence and have given me to confidence to try this.

15 games in and the league really has gone fantastic, just 2 blips in a loss to Porto which I can accept and a loss to Biera-Mar that I can't accept.

We sit pretty in second place and are looking very good for champions league qualification. If our form continues like this we may even be able to go toe to toe with Porto.

I realise I already update the group but this season we had to qualify for the group stage, So off to Jerusalem we went. 4-0 away then 7-0 at home for a massive 11-0 aggregate victory and out group place booked.

Lech are obviously the weakest team in the group, But with that said they put up one **** of a fight at there stadium 1-0 it finished, We then put them to the sword a bit more when we got them to our stadium 3-1.

Liverpool are the big guns of this group. So to beat them 2-1 twice was nothing short of amazing, This gave us 6 wins from 6.

When last we left the Europa we had won our group handily.

We drew FC Twente in the first knock out round, After smashing them 5-0 in Holland and drawing 1-1 in Portugal we cruised through 6-1 on aggregate.

In the second knockout round we played Leverkusen, who we actually beat last season. 4-1 at home followed by 3-0 away, we really have improved beyond compare this season.

We headed to Milan in the quarter final where we played Inter Milan. 3-0 in the San Siro and then 5-2 when we got them to Portugal, far easier than I ever imagined if i'm honest!

We may as well of stayed in Milan as it was AC's turn to oppose us in the semi final. We edged a 2-1 win at home before heading to the San Siro again and smashing AC Milan 4-0.

A cup double completed, I never expected to win the Europa league quite so easily! I'm thrilled we did and it should put us in goos stead for next season.

Another cup we haven't had the best of success in, this year we have already got further than we ever have before.

Varzim was the best possible draw for the semi final, Proven by by our massive superiority in beating them 4-1 then 5-0 for a huge 9-1 aggreagte victory seeing us strolling into the final.

Bakari looks absolutely amazing, must be a joy to manage him.

He scored 91 goals in all competitions last season! We wont hold onto him for long in my opinion, hopefully we can get a champions league first.

The squad didn't require alot to be honest, But before we get to that I wanted to update one player who came through the youth intake last season. Now I have never updated youth in this save as I haven't stayed anywhere long enough to really nuture them. But this one is special.

Only 15 and would you just look at him! He is already a match for our back up strikers, It it frightening how good he must have the potential to be. I'll look to let him out on loan next season to a club with better facilities than us, then hopefully I will welcome back to near finished article and I can finally play with two strikers!

Here are our transfer dealings during pre season, You will notice to massive sales equating to £42m this gave me a bit of cash to spend. However I elected to be sensible and think long term as I have to with this project. Champions Leagues don't win themselves!

Renato was sold to Juventus for £20m and Vítor Almeida was sold to AC Milan for £22m. Both players were signed by us on free transfers so £42m represents fantastic business on our part and I feel I have more than replaced them with the players I have brought in. Signed as our new centre half, Although not as versitile with his positions as Renato was he is every bit as good a defender. Added to that he is a full Portuguese international and I expect him to fit right in.

Neal Webb
A product of the Southampton academy, Just look at him! He could of commanded 5 times what I paid and I wouldn't of complained. As it is he was transfer listed and we got him for a song, this song was still the clubs transfer record however. I also believe he is the first English player I have signed in this save, Someone else may remember better than me but that's how I remember it. He is a direct replacement for Vítor Almeida and honestly looks to be a better player!

He was transfer listed as not needed aswell, making it even more insane! Sometimes I wish we could knee cap some teams lol
 
After the quite ridiculous lengths of posts last season, I have decided i'll split competitions up a bit more this season. It will make a season around 4-5 posts instead of the current 2-3. Hope this is ok with everyone following :)

We also had the small matter of the European super cup against some team called Barcelona!

Absolutley amazing result, I didn't fanct extra time against Barcelona and 2 minutes before time up popped Bakari with his second, Before Neves put the game beyond doubt in the 90th minute. This has to be a good sign for our champions league campaign.
