Now that's a result! We smashed Hoffenheim 6-1 in what will probably be our biggest win of the season. It was a game of luck as 4 of our goals we're deflections but we can't argue with the result. We played extremely well and Bard Finne controlled the game. Banging in two goals and creating two as well. It's a huge morale booster for the squad and with a tough game against Frankfurt at home coming up it could be just what we need.

Leitner looks like quite a solid pick up is it going to take a hefty ammount on your budget or is it somewhat average?.

Congrats on that massive 6-1 win, sure to help in future games morale wise.

Yeah it will take a considerably large amount, but I need some quality in the side if I have any chance of staying up this season. So it could be worth it.

Thanks mate, the scoreline does not reflect the game. We were the better side but not by that much!

Well even a 1-0 victory would be helpful, 6 goals is just a bonus :P

Wow. I really couldn't of asked for a better performance from the lads. They've already looked like they are adapting to my playing style quite well, and are taking all of their chances. Finne again was outstanding which was nice to watch. He's not had a good few months here so seeing his performances rise is brilliant.

I was proud of the team today. They showed great character to get back into the game the way they did. We'd gone 2-0 down in 15 minutes and the lads heads could really have dropped but we got right back in it 10 minutes later and bagged a goal. We turned the game on it's head with two goals from Walter to put us in the lead.

I changed our tactics to defend and play on the counter, it seemed to work but hitting the woodwork twice ended up costing us when Zozulya scored from 30 yards in the last minute with a stunning strike.

Zozulya, now 34, was sold by myself when I first joined Liverpool, when will this end?

Carragher a wanted man

Jamie Carragher is a wanted man back in England, despite only being at his new post at Rostock for only 5 weeks. Carragher has been on the move for a long time and cannot keep stable at one club. When the English manager finally found his feet in the management game again with Sunderland, he was offered a chance of a lifetime at Real Madrid. Carragher's time was cut short at the Bernebeu due to health problems.

He's been thought to have been after a challenge since coming back into management and tried his hand at Newcastle, although they let him go down to the clubs poor finances. Leicester and Swansea are interested in his services and will not have much compensation to pay if he decides to jump ship as he only signed a 6 month contract and Rostock in a view to keep them up.

Sky Bet have slashed odds from Carragher moving to the Premier League before the end of the month to 10/3. With the journeyman often switching and yet to find himself at home at the new club, it wouldn't be a bad bet.

It's not been a bad start at all here at Rostock. It's not been brilliant either though. We've picked up 7 points from possible 15 which is not to bad at all, but we will need more if we wan't to stay in this league.

The only problem with the German league is that we struggle to attract interest, and with the club recently coming up from Division 3, we seriously lack the finances and pulling power of the other 17 clubs here. I'm not sure the club can better staying in the league, which is an issue of mine. I'd like to grow the club past relegation candidates.

Carragher Sacked
View attachment 229556
Rostock FC have today announced that they have sacked Jamie Carragher from his managerial post. Carragher had only took charge of the German club for 7 games but only managed two wins in his hunt for survival.

Rostock have not won in 4 matches and owner John Mannel feels someone else would be better to lead Rostock to survival.

"We will survive this season, but it will be under a new manager. We wish Jamie Carragher well but his ideas do not match ours"

Carragher's attacking possesion game did not seem to work with the talent at Rostock, but he is in the running for a few job's already. Leicester City are favourites to be Carragher's next club.

I can't believe I've been sacked! Things were not going to well here but we were finally starting to play some football. They chose to sack me after the Bayern game which I find crazy too. Did they expect a result? It's back to the drawing board for me, I've already had a few offers so it's not the end of the world but I was really looking forward to seeing if I could keep them up.

Swansea have been in for my services, but I don't fancy joining them at this moment of time. I've been a big fan of their football for a few seasons but I just don't feel the move is right for me.

For now I will fly back home and see what's witing for me.

I've joined Leeds United in hope of getting them promoted. The squad they have really shows some capabilities to do that, and the club who have fallen from greatness probably have their best chance of promotion this season in a long time. Hopefully we can do it.

We are second in the league with only 10 games to go, so this is definitely Leeds big chance to get back where they belong. We're 11 points clear from falling out of the play off places so we will defintiely be fighting for promotion in May.

Leeds have quite the history for a Championship club and that's why I'm eager to get them back where they belong. They've now been out of the Premier League in 20 years and that's been tough to take for the fans.

The finances are pretty stable. The club have not been in the red in years but don't have too much in the bank either.

The run home starts tomorrow, I have a game against Burnley without a training session, but I'm hoping the lads can continue their good form.

This could be the best journey of my career yet.
