Jamie Carragher - A Managers Story

Only just caught up on this, great win over Monaco!

As you suggested I took a short break from my FM thread but now I feel re-energised to post content, I'd like to thank you for that. Means the World to hear helpful advice/feedback, hope you continue your thread as well.

It's one of the best stories on the site!

Possible good news!

As it is the fan in my laptop that had broke, even when it was replaced it still didnt work so it looks like that was knackered, but I've just looked at cooling pads online as I've heard a lot about them. Didn't realise they were as effective as reviews are telling me, I've sent the step mother off to get one now while I'm in work, the story could be back tonight!

A tough match up against an in form Madrid saw us fall to a frustrating 2-1 defeat. We gifted them two goals after taking the lead so to come out of the game with nothing was hugely disappointing. Celta Vigo away next.

A big game for us as we needed a win to create some momentum to push us for some good results in the last 10 games of the season. I rested Negredo and pulled Perez back into the starting XI and didn't he perform! He's been brilliant since joining. We currently stand third in the league and are in the quater finals of the Europa League, not a bad season so far.

Big tester here. Inter away will be a tough game but I feel we could get a few goals over them at home. Unfortunately our semi final draw if we progress was not as nice...

We will have to hope that Viktoria Plzen manage to keep Man City's poor European record up by knocking them out to get an easier game in the semi's. If you want to win it you have to beat the best teams though so if we do get through and we do play City hopefully it would be a good return for Negredo.

Confused. We got smashed on the counter attack. I'm looking at changing our tactics because something's got to give! If Atletico and Sevilla now win their games in hand we fall out of the top 4 for the first time this season.

Third 4-1 in a row and luckily it was in our favour. We absolutely dominated the game from start to finish, it was the Negredo show yet again! As he looks to cement his golden boot position this season to finally break the Ronaldo and Messi era. Perez was again impressive.

We need to pick up every point we can now. After dropping so many in recent weeks we are now the ones looking to end up fifth. We hve a tough set of fixtures ahead of us, our next 3 games are all away from home.

It really looks like we have threw away our season now. We were in pole position for third place for so long and at one point looked as if we were ready to challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona but with 3 wins in our last 10 we really have lost it all. I'm confident that we can turn it around against Inter Milan but the way we are playing lately I wouldnt be too sure.

A much better 3 games this time round which see's us through to the semi finals of the Europa League. A confident 5-0 win over Tenerife could kickstart some momentum to push on for the last 3 games in the league. Some bad results for Sevilla and Atletico mean that we have crept back into the top 4, for now.

It's extremely tight, and it looks like it could potentially come down to the last game of the season as we host Atletico. This could be some finale.

A 2 goal meltdown stopped us from climbing into third place and dropped us down to fifth, we have 2 games to climb back in the top four in between 2 massive games against City, one more yellow card for Negredo and he misses a game in the league.

These two results mean I cannot lose my next game against Almeira away. After that it comes down to the last game of the season against Atletico which is a must win game. Whatever the result against Almeria I will still have to beat Atletico to make the top 4.

We're in the final! What a result against a team like City! Dost scored his 18th of the season to finish the game off for us. He really has come into his own in the second half of the season. We will play Marseille as they beat fellow French side FC Lorient 3-1 on aggregate to reach the final.

We now need to win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League, extremely disappointed not to have made the top 4 after once leading the 3 teams with a 12 point gap.
