Jamie Carragher - A Managers Story

Outstanding league start. SI should have made it possible to send Sturridge to the US for rehab.

Looks like the move to Liverpool will be a success for you mate! brilliant start to the season and unlucky against Barcelona!

Thanks mate! Yeah it was a little bit frustrating to get the first loss of the season, but at the Nou Camp in style is not a bad way to lose I suppose, seems like my tactics work perfectly with the Liverpool squad so hopefully this form carries on!

Unbeaten in the league so far. Barcelona getting the win but that's expected at their place. We got 2 clean sheets away from home which is progress to my tight defending that I want. I'm impressed by how many goals we are scoring.

Top of the league after September. Southampton join us as the only other unbeaten team in the league. Man city are struggling to pick up form. Here's a look at October.

If you look at the results from last month and take out form into this month you would think we could win all of these games. Keeping it this consistent is hard though but I expect the lads to give it their all.

Always nice to get! Need to stop leaking in goals in defence though!

Young Barbosa picks up his first award while being at the club after a great month for him.

A much needed win for us in the Champions League. When you lose your first game you need to make sure you win the second otherwise you easily fall behind. Isco was on a different level today and got his rewards with a Hat-trick!

A great performance and for £13 million he is really value for money. This leaves the group table like this after two games.

We move into second now and I'm looking to build on that, our squad seems to be capable of handling juggling games so far!

Won't be the last for Barbosa, guy is unreal (well was for me on FM14 anyway ;) )

A second 6-0 of the season and to get a result like this away from home is special. Palace are already struggling but in this league it's not easy. 3 clean sheets in 4 games is something I am also pleased with.

And as for this lad. He is an exceptional talent and I want to keep him here for as long as I can. He can play in various positions across the pitch effectively. To be involved in 5 out of our 6 goals shows how important he can be.

Another game, another win! The squad have been incredible. We've had a couple of players needed to be rested and a couple fo injuries but no matter who I send out on the pitch they are doing the job. Markovic suffered a groin strain and will be out for 3 weeks.

Another successful European night for us as we batter Dinamo Moscow away from home. I was actually annoyed that they managed such a late goal from a free kcik about 30 yards away as im starting to get obsessed with clean sheets. Amazing from the lads though. Barca win again to keep them 100% in the group.

Another game where I feel we should have won. Flanagan got sent off in the last minutes for a second yellow as we were on top. I feel if he stayed on the pitch we would have won it in extra time. Two result lost now for not taking our chances, I can't look into it too much yet as these players have been amazing this season. Sometimes this just happens.

Back to winning ways. I was not in any doubt that we wouldn't be! I rested the main front 3 this game too in Sterling, Coutinho and Barbosa. Sturridge will be back in 5-6 weeks too so things are still looking positive. My goals from the beginning of the season was put in a title challenge and/or win some silverware. I would have liked to have beat Everton in the cup but the Capital One Cup is not the competition I need to focus on. I want the bigger cups!

Huge win for us today. If it wasn't for Saul with his last minute equaliser at the Nou Camp that result would have put us top of the group. Markovic marked his first game back with 2 goals. Dybala hit 2 in 2 minutes and our 3 centre mids bagged a goal each, brilliant stuff.

Another win against a big rival, I really have the fans behind me now! It took Coutinho 18 seconds to hit the back of the net. The Brazilian is in fine form at the moment. Joe Allen ran the show from midfield, and managed to cover for two when Emre Can earned himself an early bath. Everton got consolation goal with a Leighton Baines penalty but we saw the game out.

Beating Barcelona can't get any better than the way we did it. Markovic and Sterling caused problems down both wings all night for them. Luis Suarez marked his visit back to Anfield with a goal. The win against Barcelona now see's us top of the group with FC Kobenhavn away our next game.

Another win, another Markovic masterclass. Unforunately out former player Sakho clattered into him the 90th minute and broke his ribs, he is expected to be out for 3-4 weeks. On a lighter note Sturridge is back to fitness next week. Our last 4 games have all been big fixtures and we've managed to win them all. The team has shown great character to do so.

This huge stretch of games through December now is crucial to our title challenge. A month full of smaller teams in all respect. I'm looking to win at least 5 of the 6 Premier League games.
