After most of our side we're tired after the Merseyside derby I set out a much weaker team today. Apart from Ochoa or Moreno everyone who started didn't against Liverpool.
Moreno has some crazy fitness, I think he's only missed one game so far this season, the one thing better than his fitness is his goal record. The Paragyan has scored 23 in 15 games for us, that's including the two he bagged today.
The game started off on the back foot to be fair, we we're both playing weaker sides but Chelsea seemed to play better, and shocked us with an early goal. Toni Silva pulled one back for us with a great volley inside the box. I was fairly content going into half time drawing.
The plan was to shift Ronaldo on if nothing had changed by 60 minutes, which I did. It was actually Chelsea who got the next goal when Toni Silva took down the newly brought on Berardi in the box. With 20 minutes left, something had to change. I brought Origi on as he had been sensational against Liverpool. "Do what you did the other day lad, don't give them a second." He chased and chased the defenders and they started making mistakes. We scored 4 in the last 20 minutes, 2 for Moreno, and one each for Ronaldo and Origi, somehow we had sneaked past Chelsea.
The draw for the quarter finals awaits...
