I have one question. Are you using a spesific training program for your players?

Using the basics of this tactics with Sunderland and Man United.

I found with 2 box to box mfs, I leaked too many goals against decent teams. With Utd brought in De Rossi to play Anchor and i can't remember conceeding a goal. I bought Mata to play AMC but hes not scoring enough.

With Sunderland i switched to one defensive mf set to defensive mentality and an anchor. Brought in RVN on a free and hes been prolific, 6 goals in 3 games and Van Der Vaart whos assisting alot + scoring.

In the team instructions set pass to feet and retain possession. Against decent teams put on Hassle opposition as well.

A very good tactic overall.

P.S. 2-.0 down @ 76 minutes to play, up pops Ruud Van Nistelrooy banging in a hatrick against Man Utd <3

Yes getting the balance right particularly away from home has been tricky, ive tried making one of the CM's more defensive but it seems to stop the team scoring so many.

i have a problem, torres isnt scoring. What role is he best suited for? Advanced or Complete forward or poacher?

I have been using this with Shaktar Donetsk and when favourites at home I go behind a couple of goals. Then put it to all out attacking for last twenty minutes and end up winning the game.

Torres got 33 goals in 41 games for me as a poacher, and also got 14 assists.

just started using tactic with my liverpool, put some stats soon.

the tactic is the best i have ever used, only lost 2 games so far and tht was to portsmouth 2-1 and man u 1-0.
i won chelsea 3-0 and won juventus 3-2 in champs league.

i keep the strat as defensive for all my games and it doesnt affect the goal scoring :)

keep up the gd work JP

doesnt work with southampton, but is working with dundee united at the moment, my southampton had been playing 4-5-1 for a season and a half, it wont automatically work, it ****** me off that people give it 3 games, if i was a player and was asked to change tactic i would feel a little unsure

Thanks

Just finished the first full season with using your tactic with a few mods.

Playing with Brentford and just won Coca Cola league 1 with a few points ahead of Brighton. My top scorer ***** Hunt scored 41 goals in 46 matches. Cant seem to upload my printscreen which is a bit weird but anywhow.

In 46 games 29 wins, 14 draws and 3 losses. 96 goals scored and 49 conceeded. Started using it at the end of the first season and didnt have great results but thought I would try it anyway and worked a treat in the the 2nd season. Got some decent AMs in which helped massively.

The changes I made to the tactic was just to play one MC as a Ball winning defender with defence duty which I just saw as well that someone else mentioned and that I can really recommend. Changed the offensive corner setup as well, still not scoring many goals from corners but slightly better results than before.

After just getting loads of draws for the initial few matches at the start of the season I tried out just playing with overload with the defensive MC and after that I just racked up win after win, dont know if that is the reason or just the fact that my players where more familiar with the tactic. Seems a bit odd that overload worked so well, conceeded quite a few goals but I hade 5 or more 3-3 draws during the season and was down to Charlton at one point with 0-3 and ended up winning 5-3. Weird.

Since I play with Brentford I have just been left to get free signings but still managed to get a few decent players with good passing skills and I believe that is key if u want this to work with teams that dont possess the talent of Man U and others.

Another odd thing as well is that with overload on I usually had less shots on goal than my opponent usually but still ended up scoring more. Can probably count the times where I actually had more shots on one hand.

Anyway, great strat.

re

shuld I turn it to defense at home also???or just away?for example I am man.jun and shuld I play offenseive home aginst chelsea or shuld I turn it to defense

JP.

If you change Fernando Torres to Complete Striker he does better then when he is a Poacher

I did it to see how he would do and so far he has played 11 games and he has 12 goals

And Gerrard is doing what he did for you with me ripping up the league 9 goals 6 assists in 12 games

4-4 In the first championship game away at Notingham Forrest. Score tons of goals but need to stop conceedng somehow.

I changed one of the midfielder to a defensive midfield, changing his mentality basing on my opponents. It's working fine, leaking less goals but my attacking force seems to have gone down a bit, but all that matters is a win.

@djordjescekic - Depends on your team. I tend to play counter against stronger teams at home, especially Arsenal. There's no way I would want to go head to head against Arsenal when it comes to attacking. Depending on the team's form, sometimes I might even go attacking against teams like Chelsea or Man Utd when my team is in a winning streak. You would surprise them by a little and might even score a few goals before they could respond. And I had been changing it throughout the game, depending on the scoreline.

Hi Folks.

I really wanna stay home tomorrow and play this all day. Anybody got any good excuses I can give the boss as to why i wont be in work? Much appreciated...

I lost 6-4 against Wolfsburg away with Bayern Munich lol, need to give the team time to adapt i guess.

Goal from distance and problem on coners?

Hi JP!

So far, thanks alot for the tactic! It's been really nice!

Im playing with Aston Villa, and i seem to been struggeling with to things so far.

My opponent seems to score alot goal from the distance..

Secondly i haven't scored on a corner or dead ball situation in over 20 matches.

I should be able to tweak the corner without a problem, but I was just wondering if I was the only one struggling with scoring on corners? :-)

Cheers so far mate!
