It abuses corners, aka corner bug.

If you look at my corner set up there is nothing unusual or out of the ordinary about it. Only one player lurking ect. I agree though the corners are ****** up. The AI cant even handle the simplest of set ups.

for the cf in your 4-4-2 what attributes are most importent- _?

Complete forwards should be good all round strikers, a complete striker. Id say Heading, Finishing and creativity. Pace and Strength too if possible.

I just used the strikers i already had and it still worked fine.

For people wanting to know how it works with lower league teams, im about to start a new save with Gateshead in the BSP. I shall post my progress.

lost allot of games as braga but I changed the CML to support and boom won 10 in a row and beat Porto! and won a game 7-2 lol have you tried CML Support?

Yes, it wasn't as potent for me. Maybe it suits your squad better. It sometimes needs a good few games to kick in. Glad its started working for you though.

Now then mate, the 'wenger style tactic' has start great for me. I'm boro, but i was wondering where that 4-4-2 formation you used for boro to win the prem & champ league with?

Post 178 or just re download the tactic, ive put it in.

With the original tactic I was having a reasonable amount of success, doing extremely well at home. I struggled on the road though and this is costing me league titles sometimes. I tried the flat 4-4-2 tactic for one game and lost 5-0 away to Arsenal, when I have a team of the same skill as them. I know it's just one game but I don't think the 4-4-2 is going to work. The familiarity levels are almost full already. I don't remember the last time I lost that big with a team of my quality.

I already know for a fact the 442 does work. 1 match away to Arsenal doesn't prove anything.

Ok then, I've always found your other tactics successful (particularly the Germany ones), so I'll keep with this 4-4-2 one and let you know how it goes.

JP - what match prep are you using with the 4-4-2 with Complete Forward... is it still Defensive Positioning?

I have found out that the LCM doesn't get involved in the game as much as I hope. I'm currently having Ramsey playing in that position and he averages 20 odd passes per game, which is pretty low for a midfielder and for that reason Ramsey haven't been able to show his talents after half a season (average rating of 6.85). Would it be better to have him with the duty of support? Or I should just leave it as it is?

Pretty good tactic though, with the strikers being especially mean to the opposition's defenders.

second season in the prem with halifax town, lost 3 out of 4 league games and chose this tactic (442 version) to try make a comeback, and first game with 442 home against man city i won 7-2! i then lost 3-2 away to juve in champs league, but a good effort, then 1-1 with swansea as players were tired, now just beat west ham 4-0 away, so far i am loving the 442 version, its doing things mr hugh tactics have failed at of late, although i never rule out mr hugh's tactics as they rock too. thanks for this one JP
