SEPTEMBER

A very good month as my new players are slowly settling into the club. Ricardo Centurion is still on top of his game and is playing out of this world - obviously trying to oust Alejandro Gomez on the LW in my team of my career.

Will have a decision to make soon though as AC Milan have sacked their manager. They arent in Europe, their finances are rated as okay and they dont have any world class players. Do I go? Havent been offered it yet mind you!

We arent banging in the goals like last season - dominating games as you would expect though - just need to covert a higher percentage of our chances. Centurion has started this season on fire - 8 games, 10 goals, 6 assists!

OCTOBER

I was tempted - sorely tempted to go to Milan as they are my favourite Italian side but the fact they arent in Europe (even the Europa League would have swung it), the fact that I havent competed in the Club World Cup yet and the fact that I am loving this Porto side meant that I had to turn them down. Milan offered me a budget of £19m and they do have some good youngsters but it just wasnt enough.

My players responded well to the good news and despite drawing with Twente we got a great win against Atletico Madrid and put 10 past Leiria to ensure that our great run continues.

Just before kick-off I turned down Milan and my players responded by scoring 3 very quick goals. Centurion finally failed to score but he did get an assist.

We were poor but we were also handicapped as Centurion got sent-off in the first half. We still managed to take the lead but couldnt hold on.

NOVEMBER

Still at Porto. Despite there being many jobs becoming available only Nottingham Forest was one of my future destinations and I wasnt going to reject AC Milan only to end up there.

We kicked off the month with a good away win over Benfica and then kept our momentum going without scoring our usual bagful of goals. The only downside of the month was Scotlands heavy friendly defeat.

DECEMBER

This month saw me win the Club World Cup for the first time as I have normally left for pastures new by the time it comes round. We got some good wins most notably against Benfica, Atletico Madrid and Flamengo.

In the Champions League we got a very good draw as we have been paired with Monaco. Whether I will be there when the tie starts is another question however.

I just read all of this and it has got me in the mood to give this a go. Where do you fancy going next sooner or later the challenges at forest and Aston villa will be coming!

JANUARY

Still here folks!!! The Celtic job came up but I wasnt interested in that and I declared my interest in the AC Milan job as their new manager Spalletti's job was precarious but nowt happened. If the job became available during the window I would have jumped but it seems I will be here until the end of the season now.

Oh and we won all our games - not that that will come as a surprise.

FEBRUARY

This month was all about Benitez as he scored 12 goals during the month including 6 in one game. We maintained our 100% league record as well as getting to the League Cup final however in the Champions League we threw away a 2-0 and 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 in the first leg.

Quite apt that we play against the side who the club beat to win their 2nd Champions League. We were cruising until we went down to 10 men (made 3 subs and a player got injured) but we should still go through.

It breaks my heart it really does but needs must. I hoped to delay the decision until the end of the season but it wasnt possible so I decided to bite the bullet and just take it. Whether I can get AC Milan into the Europa League or not will be interesting to see!

That Milan team looks worse than the one I took over! I started in 8th(and I didn't qualify for CL first season!).

I'm sure you'll get them playing well though (you have with every other team :P )

I'm thinking its going to be a 3 year Challenge (in my save), do you think you can get CL in your first full season?

Firstly at Porto I played 1 game and we beat Varzim 5-0 with Graca getting his first goals for the club.

So onto Milan - firstly I had to look at everyone to see if there was a backbone to my future side in the ranks and there was - just! It seems I have 2 quality full backs and 1 very good CM, 1 decent AMC and a half decent striker (shown below) and every other position needs improved.

I am going to end the season by giving youth a chance. The intake was pretty poor so I am going to have to scout about for bargains. I do have £9m to spend before I get my budget for next season so will have to use that wisely.

As for the coaching staff it wasnt too bad however due to Milan's decline I am not allowed as much as I am used to. Filippo Inzaghi is a beast of a coach while Tassotti is a great assistant while I brought Kaka in to be my youth team assistant manager.
