FEBRUARY

This month saw us thrash Juventus and progress in Europe as well as gain a significant lead in the Italian Cup semi however we did lose to Sampdoria in the league to lose our unbeaten record. Things are going well though and I keep thinking that I am only a couple of months away from the arrival of my new superstar player.

------------------------------------------------

Ascoli 0-0 AC Milan

Disappointing but I had to put out a backup side here.

---------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 3-1 Juventus
Strnad, Meda 2

GET IN!!!!! Balotelli had an early goal ruled out but we took the lead just before half-time. Meda scored two quick goals in the 2nd half to seal a great win! 6pts clear now.

------------------------------------------------------

Chievo 0-1 AC Milan
Medero

Balotelli got sent-off early on here but we still managed to sneak the win.

--------------------------------------------------------

Coppa Italia SF 1st Leg
Fiorentina 0-2 AC Milan
Strnad, Benetti

A very good win as I had to rest a few first picks.

-----------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 7-2 Lazio
Meda, Babu, Senol Ahmet Sami, Medero 2, Strnad, Ndiaye

Amazingly we went behind twice here before we just blew Lazio away.

---------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League 1st Round 1st Leg
Hannover 0-1 AC Milan
Babu

------------------------------------------------------------

Sampdoria 3-1 AC Milan
Koljonen

I only started 5 first picks for this game as my players are shattered. Disappointing to lose our unbeaten league record but it had to end sometime.

--------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League 1st Round 2nd Leg
AC Milan (1) 2-1 Hannover (0)
Barani, Benetti
(Agg: 3-1)

I decided to rest my main players yet again here and we managed to finish the job.

MARCH

A great month as we progressed in Europe and reached the Coppa Italia final and also secured Champions League football for next season. Lazar Markovic was in fine form on the RW and he scored a load of goals as did my backup striker Koljonen.

The youth intake was pretty poor and the other moment of note was when Atletico Madrid offered me the chance to be their manager out of the blue. I rejected it of course!

-------------------------------------------------------

Napoli 2-2 AC Milan
Medero, Markovic

This was almost a great result but we threw away a 2 goal lead which rankled.

----------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 4-1 Cagliari
Said, Strnad 2, Babu

-------------------------------------------------------------

Sassuolo 0-3 AC Milan
Markovic, Deri, Medero

We surged into a 3 goal lead in the first 20min and I expected a rout but it didnt materialise.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League 2nd Round 1st Leg

Granada 1-1 AC Milan
Medero

------------------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 2-0 Siena
Markovic, Koljonen

-----------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League 2nd Round 2nd Leg

AC Milan (1) 3-2 Granada (1)
Markovic, Koljonen, Said
(Agg:4-3)

A bit too close for comfort this but we managed to sneak through. They took an early lead but my 2 in form players Markovic and Koljonen turned it round for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Spezia 0-1 AC Milan
Koljonen

----------------------------------------------------------------

Coppa Italia SF 2nd Leg

AC Milan (2) 2-2 Fiorentina (0)
Capuano, Koljonen
(Agg: 4-2 )

Another game where we threw away a 2 goal lead - Koljonen did have a goal disallowed but into the final we go!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 3-1 Palermo
Markovic 3

We fell behind and had two players taken off injured but Markovic scored a first half hat-trick to win it.

APRIL

Another month full of progress although our lead in the league may have dropped from 9pts to 4pts we did make it to the Europa League final.

Next month will see us play 2 cup finals and hopefully secure the title but more importantly I will get to reveal my new signing soon. Now will I reveal it before or after the Euros? lol

------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League QF 1st Leg

AC Milan 3-1 Sporting Lisbon
Benetti, Strnad, Curcio

We fell behind here but I wasnt too worried as we absolutely battered them!

--------------------------------------------------------

Verona 0-1 AC Milan
Verratti (pen)

Juventus lost the day before so it was vital that we took advantage. 9pts clear now!

-------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League QF 2nd Leg

Sporting Lisbon (1) 1-1 AC Milan (3)
Koljonen
(Agg: 2-4 )

We took an early lead to cancel out their away goal and just played the rest of the game out easily although they had a disallowed goal.

----------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 4-4 Roma
Koljonen, Penel 2, Markovic

I could only field 4 first choice players here as the amount of games are catching up with us. We went 2-0 up, 2-3 down, 3-3, 3-4, we had a disallowed goal and then made it 4-4 in the last minute.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Genoa 1-0 AC Milan

We deserved a point here but couldnt get it - we should still win the league though.

--------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League SF 1st Leg

AC Milan 3-1 Liverpool
Markovic, Said, Ndiaye

A great win as Liverpool have a fantastic squad - much stronger than ours! Ndiaye's goal was from 50 yards out.

--------------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 3-2 Inter Milan
Strnad, Markovic, Ndiaye

We fell behind early on but led at half-time. They levelled but Ndiaye struck the winner in the 55th minute. Inter are still in danger of relegation.

--------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League SF 2nd Leg

Liverpool (1) 2-1 AC Milan (3)
Ndiaye
(Agg: 3-4)

We are through to the final where we will face another of my old sides Bayern Munich. Unfortunately Markovic got injured and will miss the rest of the season.

MAY - END OF SEASON

AMAZING!!!!! We completed the treble in the most nail biting fashion possible. We almost threw the title away after losing at home to Cesena, trailed twice in the Europa League final and even won the Italian cup final with 9 men!

I was surprised to win the league and although my new signing could win the Champions League on his own I think I need to bring in a new keeper for sure.

--------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina 1-3 AC Milan
Zeric, Medero, Strnad

I was without 5 first choice players here so I am delghted with the win. They had a goal disallowed when we were 2-1 up which could prove to be vital.

----------------------------------------------------------

AC Milan 0-2 Cesena

SHOCKING!!!!!! We were terrible and should have lost by a lot more. My keeper Consigli got man of the match with a rating of 9.2 so it shows how terrible we were. If we won we were champions but now we are 1pt clear going into the final game.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Reggina 0-4 AC Milan
Babu, Barani 2, Medero

CHAMPIONS!!!!! We were excellent and at half-time we were 3up so it was easy in the 2nd half. So relieved that we didnt thow it away. Juventus won 4-0 so a draw would have been no good for us.

---------------------------------------------------------

UEFA Europa League Final

AC Milan 4-2 Bayern Munich
Medero 2, Senol Ahmet Sami, Meda
AET

A crazy final. We were a goal down heading into half-time but Bender got sent-off for them. We levelled 3min into the 2nd half and thought we got a last minute winner but Babu's effort was disallowed. Into extra-time we went and they struck but we struck 3 times in the final period and was even afforded the luxury of missing a penalty!

---------------------------------------------------------------

Coppa Italia Final

Juventus 1-1 AC Milan
Medero
(AET AC Milan won 4-2 on penalties)

A MIRACLE!!!! I wasnt expeting to win this. I had to put half a team out and although we led up to the 77th minute we capitulated as we gave away a penalty and had Curcio sent-off (seperate incidents). Senol Ahmet Sami then got a red card in extra-time but somehow we held out and won it on penalties!!

SCOTLAND

UEFA European Championships Group C

Turkey 1-1 Scotland
McGeouch

Line Up:
Ridgers, McMenamin (Black), Hanley*, Wilson, Hendrie, Robinson, Cairney, Stewart, McGeouch, Easton (Mackay-Steven), Rhodes (Fletcher)

We probably should have won it but I am content with a draw as Turkey are the hosts. We were 1up at half-time but they levelled in the 2nd half.

Czech. Republic 0-2 Russia

-----------------------------------------------------------

Scotland 2-1 Czech. Republic
McGeouch, Cairney

Line Up: Ridgers, McMenamin (Black), Hanley, Wilson, Hendrie, Robinson, Cairney*, Stewart, McGeouch, Easton, Rhodes (Fletcher)

We needed to win this. They missed an early penalty before we went ahead and although they levelled we managed to get the winner.

Russia 1-1 Turkey

------------------------------------------------------------

Scotland 3-2 Russia
Rhodes 2, Holt

Line Up
: Ridgers, McMenamin, Hanley, Wilson, Hendrie (Shinnie), Robinson, Cairney, Stewart (Russell), McGeouch* (Holt), Easton, Rhodes

We beat the holders of the World Cup!!!! A great game this. We took the lead and got pegged back but we then managed to lead 3-1 and it was game over then really.

Turkey
0-1 Czech. Republic

UEFA European Championships 2nd Round

Austria 1-4 Scotland
Cairney, Rhodes 2, Easton

Line Up: Ridgers, McMenamin (Fletcher), Hanley, Wilson, Hendrie, Robinson (Scobbie), Cairney*, Stewart, McGeouch, Easton, Rhodes

I was delighted with the draw but didnt expect to thrash them as they have some fine players like Alaba. We shared early goals but then we found another gear and through to the quarter finals we go................

.............TO PLAY ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

England 4-2 Italy
Ukraine 1-1 Spain (P)
Denmark 1-0 Croatia
Belgium 3-1 Germany

UEFA European Championships Quarter-Finals

England 3-3 Scotland
Rhodes 2, Stewart
(AET England won 3-0 on penalties)

Line Up
: Ridgers, McMenamin (Black), Hanley (MacKinnon), Wilson, Hendrie, Robinson (Bannan), Cairney, Stewart, McGeouch*, Easton, Rhodes

Once again Scotland suffer penalty shoot-out heartbreak under me. We went ahead they levelled, we were 2-1 up and they levelled again on 81, we went 3-2 up with 5min to go but Wilshere levelled in stoppage time. The penalty shoot-out was a joke. I am so gutted so much so that I am considering leaving!

Republic of Ireland
2-0 Russia
Denmark (P) 0-0 Spain
France 0-2 Belgium

--------------------------------------------

Semi-Finals

Denmark 3-3 Republic of Ireland (P)
Belgium (P) 2-2 England

Final
Republic of Ireland
0-1 Belgium

I cant help thinking that if we won the penalty shoot-out we would have won it! Jordan Rhodes was the top scorer and was in the dream team alongside McGeouch, Easton and Cairney.

PRE-SEASON

Finally I can reveal my long awaited signing. So thrilled to have him however my good friend Stonecold wasnt too impressed and then he got injured before joining and his stats dropped slightly!

Before I introduce him I should say this - I dont know if he is a regen or not. He doesnt have a player face yet their is 5 years or so missing in his career history!

View attachment 305854View attachment 305853
SANTIAGO KREIGER

If he had a touch more pace he would be the best player I have seen. I cant really compare him to Aitor yet as I have yet to see him play but he has all the main attributes I love. I paid Boca Juniors £32.5m for him.

THE REST OF THE INCOMINGS

View attachment 305855
Francesco Bardi - £17.25m from Getafe

View attachment 305856
Bernd Paula - £7.5m from Stuttgart

View attachment 305857
Bruno Vera - £5m from Boca Juniors

View attachment 305858View attachment 305859View attachment 305860

PLAYERS OUT
I sold my keeper Consigli for £6.25m to Hannover and Joni Koljonen to Aston Villa for £10m as I didnt need him due to Krieger's arrival. I also sold several youngsters who were never going to make it for a total income of £19m while I spent £67m!

SUMMARY

Krieger comes into the starting XI as does Bardi otherwise it is the same. I have about 9 wonderkids in the squad (Strnad, Meda, Deri, Paula, Benetti, Curcio, Zeric, Babu, Barani) and I fully expect another 4 to get that status within 2 years. I cant remember having so many!

OTHER NEWS
I got offered the Chelsea job (didnt go in for it) which I turned down while Holland and Portugal also offered me jobs but I turned them down. Will stay with Scotland I suppose and hunt for some decent regens
