This is the most goals I have scored in a league campaign. Think with Bilbao I got 120 once but thats all (if you know what I mean lol). It is weird cos my top scorer in the league has 25 I think so its not as if I have a real life Messi banging in a rediculous amount but with dos Anjos Silva, Cosenza, Righini, Murphy, Bursuc and van der Post all into double figures thats 100 or so right there.

Personally I think its because most of my 1st eleven have been together for ages, which I always try and do, so the familiarality is high and they know eachother inside out. Cosenza, Kopecky, Karadzole, Crisetig, Radosevic, Bertini, Kabasele, Righini and even Ongenda and Cinelli have been with us from the season in Serie B or the first in Serie A I think.

MAY - END OF SEASON

Victory!!!!! We won the Italian cup convincingly and won the Champions League comfortably over Bayern Munich who have a decent team as expected. Next up is the Euros which as you may expect will be my last dealings with the Russian team.

----------------------------

Lecce 0-3 Castel di Sangro
Radosevic, Ongenda 2

Both sides had a player sent-off (Kabasele for us) but we were always in control.

-------------------------------

Coppa Italia Final

Castel di Sangro 4-0 Atalanta
dos Anjos Silva 2, Cosenza, Kasado (og)

We win the cup despite having 2 men sent-off!!! To be fair we were already 4 up when Karadzole and Buelens got their marching orders.

-----------------------------------

Castel di Sangro 2-0 Reggina
Cinelli (pen), Junior

Reggina had 4 players (Ruzicka, Havlicek, Moreno, Nascimento) who had been on our books at some point.

---------------------------------------

Castel di Sangro 3-1 Atalanta
Cherubin (og), Ongenda, Junior

Our former player Cherubin scored his 2nd own goal for us this season. Cassiano got sent-off for us.

-----------------------------------------

UEFA Champions League Final

Bayern Munich 0-2 Castel di Sangro
Murphy, Rosenmeier

With Kopecky injured, Righini suspended and Junior ineligble young Danish winger Rosenmeier came in to play LW to great effect!!!!! Bertini was also out so Buelens came in. We took the lead early on and were always comfortable and added the 2nd in the 2nd half.

RUSSIA

UEFA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Group B

Germany 0-2 Russia
Kantonistov, Krotov

Line Up: Akinfeev, Pobegalov, Krotov*, Joao Filipe, Schennikov, Dzagoev, Mamaev (Levov), Kornaukhov, Kantonistov (Fomin), Rausch (Iljin), Grudakov

What a magnificent result this was - undeserved maybe but after losing that friendly to Turkey I thought we would get thrashed here.

Slovakia 5-1 Bulgaria

-----------------------------------

Russia 2-1 Slovakia
Kantonistov, Grudakov

Line Up: Akinfeev, Pobegalov, Krotov, Joao Filipe, Schennikov (Makeev), Dzagoev, Mamaev (Gromov), Kornaukhov, Kantonistov*, Rausch (Koblev), Grudakov

We deserved this win - but - they had a goal chalked off so they may feel they should have got a point but this win secures our passage into the next round pretty much. My old player Frantisek Kovalik was up front for them. He is at Wigan now and is valued at £5m

Bulgaria 0-2 Germany

-------------------------------------

Bulgaria 1-0 Russia

Line Up: Akinfeev, Pobegalov, Krotov, Joao Filipe (Kuznetsov), Schennikov, Dzagoev, Mamaev, Kornaukhov, Kantonistov (Fomin), Rausch, Iljin (Grudakov)

Meh!!!!!

Slovakia 1-4 Germany

Pobegalov, Krotov, Joao Filipe, Schennikov, Dzagoev (Levov), Mamaev, Kornaukhov, Kantonistov (Fomin), Rausch (Iljin), Grudakov*

A good win as we took an early two goal lead. I am a bit concerned with the amount of bookings though. However we have drawn Slovakia in the quarter-finals after they somehow beat France!!!!!!!!!!!

Italy 1-0 Germany
Serbia 0-4 England
France 0-1 Slovakia
Denmark 0-0 Belgium (P)
Holland 0-3 Portugal

Line Up: Akinfeev, Pobegalov (Parshivlyuk), Krotov, Mario Fernandes, Schennikov, Dzagoev, Mamaev, Kornaukhov, Kantonistov (Fomin), Rausch (Iljin), Grudakov*

A very comfortable win as we charge into the semis. Thought the quarters would be our limit but once again I got lucky with the draw it seems.

Italy 2-1 England

I dont believe this. We went down to ten men early on when Mamaev got sent-off but we somehow still managed to win in what was an even game. Beginning to think our name is on the cup!

Italy 3-0 Croatia

Italy: Viviano, Santon, Bonucci, Torri, Bertini, Poli, Crisetig, Cinelli, Verratti, El Shaarawy, Borini

Unbelievable!!!!!!!! What a game this was (although we were helped by he fact they were missing Righini and Cosenza!!!). We took te lead on 2min and then Kantonistov missed a penalty on 7min however he made up for that 15min later when he put us 2 up.

The 2nd half was crazy - Bonucci scored (49), then Rausch (52), Bertini (55), the *****, reduced the deficit once more before Grudakov struck on 57min and El Shaarawy scored 10min after that. We then held on.

Not a bad way to end my stint as Russia manager!!! Where next???

THE ITALY JOB IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Immediately after the final of the Euros (by that I mean it was on my news feed with the post match press conference etc) Allegri stepped down as Italy manager so I applied for it before intending to resign as Russia manager. Then the very next news item was the job offer before I could do anything else!!!!!

I can only imagine that I walked into the Italian dressing room after the final and said "you would have won if I was in charge" lol.

I was then offered the chance to become manager of Portugal, Holland and Spain but having already accepted Italy I wasnt going to jump ship so soon.

Funnily enough there wont be a sudden influx of CDS players as they are already involved in the team (Bertini, Torri, Castelnuovo, Cosenza, Righini, Crisetig, Cinelli) so there wont be any bias on my part - yet!!

So I say dasvedanya to Russia - it was not as enjoyable as Belgium but I learnt another language, signed 2 wonderkids for CDS and of course won the Euros somehow!!!

Save downloaded.

The world cup should be won by a team with all the Italian players of CDS.

Well done now you have to focus on building your club squad to be almost completely Italian and win the WC with it. Well done though and your international adventures have picked you up valuable scouting knowledge and languages.

Friggin' sweet! I am now a manager of Ukraine and it's friggin' hard! As well as managing Shakthar, trying to get many Ukraine players in 1st eleven for Shakthar and take them players to next level, currently got 6 shakhtar players in my 1st eleven in Ukraine! What are your tips to win things with Ukraine? I know you won with Russia, Russia is better and stronger than Ukraine! I lost 3-2 to Mexico and 1-0 to Brazil in friendly match so far! :D Just started with it!

lummy, I'll advise you that improving the youth facilities and junior coaching of your club will improve the Ukrainians you produce giving your team a boost, while seriously strengthening the NT. It should get easier with time.

Firstly I would say that I got very very lucky in winning the Euros. An easy draw up to the semis then got a lucky win and Italy were weakened by the time the final came about. However I would do what gogogo golem says and also find out the date of your youth intake and search for potential superstars - buy them young, nurture them and off you go!!

Also keep an eye out for Brazilians/Argentinians that you can call up - you usually get notified when someone becomes available

PLAYERS IN
Well if you have downloaded the save you will know of a few of the incomings but I spent a few bob although I view it as investing in the future lol

MITCHEL CALDERON

I spent £11m on this striker and immediately loaned him out to Tenerife. Had my eye on him for a while but will see how he gets on in Spain first.

View attachment 277779
RUBEN GRECO

£9m for a 16y/o may be a bit much but I think this guy will be a world beater. Will give him plenty of game time as a sub and will start him occasionally.

View attachment 277780
GAETANO D'ONOFRIO

I got this lad for £7.5m from AC Milan which is a bargain considering I bid £20m for him a year back!!! Will get plenty of game time and hopefully will challenge Righini and Junior for the left wing spot.

View attachment 277781
LUIS SILVA

This guy is valued at over £17m but I got him on a free transfer!!!!! Will take over from Karadzole as my first choice right back. What a bargain!!!!!!

And the rest.......

Got a German teenage striker on a free who is valued at £5m, paid maybe £5m all told for these. Areola and Yaisien came in on frees. Will sell in the summer for a big profit!!!!

TOTAL SPENT: £32.5m

PLAYERS OUT
Due to his bad injury Jiri Kopecky deteriorated so I took the decision to let him go and he has joined Cesena on loan for £2.4m. He has been world class for me but I felt I had to do it. Ronnow joined AC Milan for £5.25m, Kisuya who I got on a free and never played left for £10m while the South Korean I got for nothing and never played left for £5.5m!!!! Luis Dias left for £5m while various others left for small fees including Baran, Montandon, Andric, Fernandez, Mikic and Sanchez.

Out on loan are as usual many...........

Evian - Manga, Lykke, Cassiano, Nyagolov, Guyot and Areola
Portosummaga - Dragoni, Iorio, Marchi, Fomin, Ferri, Rossettini, Fontana and Rosenmeier
Tenerife - Kornaukhov, Calderon, Manquillo, Guso, Ochoa and Antonio Miguel

Brilliant young keeper Jensen joined Man City on loan, Yaisien, Angelov, Baumer and a couple of others also left on loan.

TOTAL INCOME: £42m

SUMMARY

Luis Silva is my new RB with Karadzole, who can play all across the back four, will be my 1st choice backup as Ronnow and Marchi have left. Chmura has returned to be my backup keeper while D'Onofrio and Greco will get plenty of game time as backup. Righini will start the season as first choice LW.

Italian Super Cup Final

Castel di Sangro 4-0 Atalanta
Radosevic 2, Murphy, Bursuc

A nice easy win despite missing a few players due to the Olympics. Radosevic scoring 2 is a surprise.

UEFA European Super Cup Final

Liverpool 2-3 Castel di Sangro AET
Murphy, Castelnuovo, Torri

An entertaining game but victorious are we!!! Gavin Murphy ran the show to be honest

Napoli 1-4 Castel di Sangro
Junior, Cosenza, dos Anjos Silva, van der Post

A nice way to start the league campaign. With the Liverpool game having taken place 2 days beforehand I had to do without a few players but we coped fine

DECIDED TO DO A POST SO YOU CAN SEE MY PLAYERS THAT YOU MAY HAVE NOT SEEN BEFORE

PART ONE

Goalkeepers

View attachment 277795
KINHO
Signed from Sao Paulo for £6m
Apps: 170

Quite simply the best goalkeeper I have ever had - even better than David who made over 1,000 apps in my Bilbao save - yet to score a free-kick for me though!!!! Quite scary to think that he can still improve!

View attachment 277796
MICHAL CHMURA
Signed from Nitra for £525,000
Apps: 1

The Slovakian keeper was the best goalie in the Euros in the summer and is a decet enough backup. Made his debut in the Italian Super Cup this season as Kinho was injured.

View attachment 277797
PETER JENSEN
Signed from ADO Den Haag for £1.8m
Apps: 2

Currently out on loan as he is far too good to be sitting on the bench. Would walk into most other teams but it shows how good Kinho is that this guy cant get a look in.

Also there is Alphonse Areola who I got in the summer on a free and is on loan at Evian. Will sell him in the summer

LUIS SILVA
Signed from Valenciennes on a free transfer

The bargain buy of the summer and is my new right back. Unbelievable player.

View attachment 277799
SILVIO BERTINI
Signed from Siena for £325,000
Apps: 257
Goals: 2

Brought in as a 17y/o and started in our maiden season in Serie A. My left back has been a regular for Italy for ages and is still only 23. One of my best signings.

View attachment 277800
CHRISTIAN TORRI
Signed from AC Milan for £4.4m
Apps: 123
Goals: 21

One of a few players who I have pinched off AC Milan. Spent a year as backup before becoming first choice both for club and country. Still only 22 so will be around for a while yet.

View attachment 277801
PAUL VAN DER POST
Signed from PSV Eindhoven for £7.5m
Apps: 144
Goals: 29

The Dutch internatonal is a solid defender who got into double figures in goals last season. Possibly the weakest player in my starting eleven but he has always done well for me.

View attachment 277802
ALEN KARADZOLE
Signed from Hajduk Split on a free transfer
Apps: 202
Goals: 2

Brought in for our first season in Serie A and what a bargain he has been. Real Madrid regularly come in for him but I have never entertained the idea of losing him. Was always my right back but because of Silva's arrival is now backup.

View attachment 277803
BIGGER KABASELE
Signed from Le Havre for £5.5m
Apps: 193
Goals: 18

Signed as a teenager for a then club record fee. Bigger is a decent defender who after a shaky start has come on in leaps and bounds. Is van der Post better? Dont know! lol

View attachment 277804
MAURO BUELENS
Signed from Anderlecht for £4m

Goals: 1

I found Mauro while manager of Belgium and he has been a fantastic player for us. Can also play at left back which is handy!!!!!!

View attachment 277805
LUCA MARCHI

Not the greatest player on earth but Luca, who came through the youth system, did brilliantly last season. He did so well I put him out on loan this season lol

VINCENZO ROVERETI

Our longest serving player who saw what life was like in Serie C/1!!! Tends to get a dozen games a season now and has never been first choice but I view him as a club ambassador lol. Came through the youth ranks

other notable defenders.............
