Koflok's Goals Galore 2011

Just finished the second full season with this tactic. Went extremely well, once again we became champions (1 point ahead of Ajax, 81/80), won the Dutch cup (VVV Venlo managed to get to the final somehow) and got into the semi finals of the Champions League! (Knocked out Barcelona in the last 16, Chelsea in the quarter finals) But unfortanutely we got knocked out by Fiorentina after a 0-1 loss at home. Away we managed to drew and dominate the game.

Will post some cool tweaks that have been working extremely well for me after the weekend as I'm still tweaking. Defense is doing better and better, check below. (H)

FC Twente was nowhere to be found around our goal.

Hi! Just to clear this up, what tweakings to this tactics is well adviced?

What I have done is just two tweaks; Right and Left Back = MAN MARK (not tight) and Both CENTRAL Defenders MAN MARK (thight).

Any other I could try out?

Which team? It's really interesting with the dynamic league rep this year. I used to always play with my beloved Hammarby, but always got tired of being able to build up a team that kicks the **** out of the competition domestically but easily gets brushed aside internationally.

Have you tweaked the corners or is it the tactics default?


Currently trying out with Liverpool. Hodgson got kicked after just a couple of months. The team was in the *****, brought them up to around 10th at the moment got about 10 games left of the season and can probably make it up to top 6 or 7 if the current results stick as its very tight in the tables. seeing some good results now. Though I got my *** kicked by Besiktas away (europa league) in the first leg 2-0, was able to change that at home and came out on top. Beat Tottenham for Carling Cup trophy just now 3-2. Conceding mostly from corners and freekicks. I've already tried to tweak the settings for the corners but so far no success. Will let you know if I manage.

PS. All of us who don't have english as first language here. Stop apologizing for "bad english" or "bad typing" alot of us are better at both than the native speakers

Just normal untweaked corners so far, will look into changes after the season. Lost 2-0 aganst Parma in the second game and now I'm facing Hamburg at home. Im hopeful. Won the league this year once again, but out in the semifinals of the swedish cup.

If I come up with any good changes to corners or anything else, I'll return here and post.

Edit! Just won 2-0 against Hamburg in the groups. This tactic is amazingly strong at home with a small pitch. Im now leading group C!

Yeah for now you can just stick with it, probably changing to Standard on hard or away games. and Drill crosses instead of Float. That should do the trick.

Great tactic so far even though I only been past 4 competitive games as Chelsea.

Chelsea 4-1 Man Utd
Fulham 0-2 Chelsea
Newcastle 0-2 Chelsea
Chelsea 3-0 Wigan

Those 4 matches only used your very initial tactics which only involve tweaking such as the changing of roles of Lampard and Sanchez as shown in my attachment. I felt Lampard was more of a Xavi-ish compared to Essien so i gave him MCR. So far so good. Hope to show u better results.

I thought Sanchez is right footed only. How's his cut inside from there?
If he's doing well then make him the playmaker
Put Lampard on the left as he is perfect in that position and Essien on right midf as box to box.

Hahah yeah at home it is strong with small pitch. For away games try standard for now.
That's probably the main solution right now.
Working on a pitch size/width theory but found no luck.

I just won away against Hamburg with 1-0. (granted, it was on overtime and they had a player sent off, but still!) which means I've managed 3 wins in 4 games in the groups. Only conceded 2 goals aswell so the tactic is working decently defensively aswell!

Alright, here's a champions league match. Anderlecht was smacked to the ground, really. Away matches are still a bit precariously, but hoping to find some good tweaks for that.

The defence plays extremely deep, extremely tight and is man marking. The DMC and MC's are also key players in my team, as they pressure the opposite team as soon they got on my half. Well, you should get the point by now.

This is my tactic/team.

I tweaked it a little as you can see, but most important for me is that I mark and pressure my enemies always (except for their left and right back, and the GK obviously)

yep He doesn't cut inside despite me asking him to train to cut inside. He often goes to the byline and drill cross for Essien/Lampard/Drogba to slot it easily or Float for Hazard to occasionally head in some. Top assist

Started a season with Palermo using your tactic. after EuroCup game agaisnt some greek team, in away game i got a bore 0-0 with very low number of opportunities. i tweaked the defensive line to normal and used wasting time in my home game. not a lot of opportunities, but i won 1-0. in my first league game the same, 1-0 againg Catania, but i got a lot of opportunities after tweaking to control. in the next game, away game against Milan, it started with 1-0 to Milan, but i changed it again to control and normal defensive line, got a lot of opportunities and 3-1 in the end of the game for me! it's brilliant tactic, the tweaking of drill crosses, control in away game and normal defensive line is doing the job.
I'll keep you posted as the season go on. By now, i'm very satisfied, thank u very much!

high closing down on CB, FB DMC and possibly MC? -> done except for CB

Oh wow this is truly a revelation. So drill crosses from outside works huh?
It's quite good actually, creating more dynamism in the play.
Instead of all cutting in. There are some who make wide plays.

Hey just realized this.

My inside striker doesn't seem to score a whole lotta goal. All depends on my striker.
Does this happen to you guys as well?
If yes, how can I improve this. ANy inputs?
More run from deep? Mixed instead of often through ball? Or even less/more width?

and I'm trying to find that right tweaking for my playmaker. How is he playing out guys?
My Ozil only got 8 assists from 15 games.

Man, I was hoping you'd get relegated so we'd have some little more interesting matches for next year.

I've noticed aiming far post and put CB to stand on far post. Skrtel has scored a 2 or 3 in my last 5.

Just lost against West Ham away 4-3 was up 3-1 in HT came out to second half and get another 3 in the ***. I've noticed some games the opposition gets lots of long shots and plenty of time in the midfield. Trying out tackling hard, has worked for me in the past. Im badly crippled by injuries though: Gerrard, Cole, Agger, Wilson and now Skrtel, all of 'em during match. Hard to set up a winning team when you lose all your key players. Torres was out for 2 weeks a while back too.
