Ok. I just reinforced my team insanely in the offensive. Spending almost 10 millions pounds on players. (Huge amount of money for a Swedish team). It's my hope that I will see alot more result with this tactic than I did before.

I might try that corner tactic mentioned above aswell, however I'm not a huge fan of these "bug-corner-tactics".

It's actually a defending corner setup. not an attacking one. :P

Defending corner has been a major issue this year. as long as away matches.

lol benfica is portuguse.... anyway you test this in other clubs , like ACMILAN? or inter..?

testing that defending corner tactic. work well for the last two away matches.

No offence, but this tactic definetly is not for weaker teams.Very unstabile defensivly, and upfront very hard to score.I test it currently with bulgarian giants CSKA(Sofia)... Just see the screenshot!!!
Sorry I'll "keep walking" :)) till the classic 10.3(the ultimate tactic for FM 2010) is tweaked for 2011.

Yes, I know. But if itäs actually impossible to score from corners against you that wouldn't be so fun, wouldn't you say?

Let us know how it works!

It worked as a swedish team, so you should be able to get it working aswell.

First off, brilliant tactic. I made some tweaks as well as some of the ones listed to put here (drill crosses and the man marking). I fiddled with the mentality of the players, basically putting them up a little.

Wing backs up 2 notches
CB's up 1 notch
CMR up to 1 notch below attacking
AM's up to first attacking notch
ST up to 1 notch below attacking.

Left the team mentality on standard and it seems to be getting good results. Still conceding a few but the attacking side has resulted in more goals, especially from crosses coming in both from the wing backs and the AM's leaving the ST to tap it in.
Playing with Arsenal and bought Dzeko and found he really wasn't good at the ST role whatsoever. Vela is probably the best striker without buying Hulk (**** having spare money available!). Vela had 10 goals in 4 matches at one point and his finishing 1v1's isn't always consistent.

Still has a few problems away from home, but i haven't been losing much, simply salvaging draws instead. 2 points clear at the top of the league after 26 games. Will post after the season has finished.

I use this tactic with Blackpool.
It did it job here.

Nice skin btw. :)

Hahaha well if you say so. Couple of users here are actually testing using weaker sides and having decent results.

Maybe it's not down to how weak the side is but to how the players fit to the tactic's requirement and maybe some tweaking on your own. As said, this is no plug and play tactic.

It's your choice though. I would say a couple of games is not fair way to judge a tactic but then again I wish you good luck on finding that tactic - despite the fact that I don't believe there is no 'ultimate' tactic.

Oh yeah nice skin. Loving the background :D

Hahaha I'm not saying don't score at all against me during corner. Conceding around 10 per season can be acceptable. But 1 in every 1 or 2 games? Seriously? A bit too much don't you think? haha

going to try this tactic with verona to test with weaker team.

HEEEELPPP!!! This isn't working! :D
I'm having poor matches and getting loads of draws and defeats! :D

I'm playing as Chelsea. Any suggestions?

Someone actually used Chelsea and getting results with it.

Try looking at a couple page back. Someone posted his way of using it with Chelsea.

How do you change the corner options in fm 11? i know ho to do it in 10 but not 11. :)?

Hey! Reporting back after a successfull season!

Finished 1st on portuguese's 3rd league, showing this is also for minor league teams!
My stats: 24 win 3 draws 3 lost 72 for 21 against

top goalscorer was the forward with 31 goals in 30 matches (7.89 average rating and 11 MoM) , so, pretty darn good!

This tactic DOES need time to gel with the team, starting my first 5 matches with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

Tweeks I made were the mentioned by you (standard mentality and defensive settings) PLUS making your forwards your target man!!! that changed the whole season for me! probably worked great as I have a pretty decent forward in a crappy league, but he scored tons (31 in 30 as said earlier) AND managed some cool hat-tricks (maybe 3) and 1 poker ;D

Try the target man and leave some feedback if you can ;D

PS: Thank you for such a wonderfull tatic :P

Yeah i know, i saw it. And that's the main problem! The only difference is that i don't have Hazard and Sanches. Instead of Sanches i use Alex Chamberlain, Banyoun or Kalou.Zhirkov or Malouda take Hazard's place.

Thanks for the input. Did you manually did those tweaking with the mentality after changing the team's mentality to standard?

Because when on attacking their mentality is actually higher than that
CMR is already on first notch of attacking
so is AM (you mean wingers right?)
ST is actually 3 notch above attacking.

However it is interesting to see that 'placement' of mentality. I will probably get to that tomorrow morning. It's 2 AM here now. Too tired to test out anything.

If it's correct then the main issue is individual's mentality for the defend itself and time wasting on away matches. Remind me to get into this deeper tomorrow.

after i have increase the mentality of deffence players, the tactics has been better, thanks you!

Yeah the team mentality was already on standard. Attacking was as other people have mentioned splitting the team too much. Leaving it on standard and changing it slightly has made the players less likely to just pass it around for ever before trying to play a killer ball whilst keeping the defensive side reasonably solid. Still concede most my goals from crosses or corners though. May need to invest in a really tall solid CB.
