Hi Koflok,

I've been using your goals galore v9 in FM2010 and had some great results with Anderlecht, one of the major teams in Belgium, reached semi final of Euro Cup, which was really something :)


Anyway, I'm hear to talk about your new tactics, I started a save with Anderlecht again, default squad since I have no transfer funds available, still looking to sell a few players though.
I did some tweaks on the tactic, the only thing I changed was drilled crosses in the Team Instructions, I did not test the tactic with default setting, which is Default crossing iirc.

So far I am pleased with the results:

Most of the friendlies were easy :)
  • Friendly against Benfica was tough, but still a very good result! (they had more chances, team not adapted to tactics etc.)
  • Supercup final against Gent, unlucky really: shots 15:8 , on target 4:2, CCC 1:2, should've won that, but it's a cup final ;)
  • Same against Rosenborg, home + away stats: shots 24:15, on target 7:5, CCC: 6:2. Unlucky, but I still have the Eurocup :)

Other then that, I've won all my league games so far, scoring 12 and only conceded 2 :)

I did change the Instructions during some matches, especially away matches, from Attacking to Control when I had trouble getting on the opposition's half when they changed to a more offensive/attacking style, when you score the early goal it really helps, in my eyes.

As promised here is my details as of Dec 15 2010 with Juventus.

2nd in Serie A (Unbeaten with the 5 goals against through 16 games)
1st in Europa League Group Stage (Also Unbeaten with 1 goal against through 5 games)

It was very very hard for my team to adapt to this tactic but and I am not 100% satisfied with the way they are playing, yet they are unbeaten with a great defensive record, and to thank I have my back 4, De Ceglie, Bonnuci, Chiellini, Motta, and most importantly Manninger who has singlehandly won and tied me games.

I will break down your tactic and how my team utilised it in three ways, the attacking, the transition, and defending.

Attacking: I have switched between Poacher, ADVForward, and DLP(support), and gone through the likes of Neymar, Quagliarella, Iaquinta, Del Piero, and Amauri since he has returned from injury. I find my striker the most inconsistent, with one game netting a beautiful perfect hat trick, (right foot, left foot, header) against Fiorentina which was Amauri, to facing the darkhorse Catania and being completely useless, winning the game with an O.G. I have tweaked him about in every which way and can't get even 90% of him out in the tactic. The wingers, I started with Marchisio as the APM, but he got injured early as was Aquilani so I gave Krasic the APM(attack) role and he was good, but not as good as an IF. He is very consistent with being my top goalscorer(11), and with 6 assists and 5 MoM.


Transition : My midfielders are having trouble breaking into the attacking phase of play and contributing, aquilani is way too late to the box, after tweaking the mentalities of each I still couldnt break them into the attacking support that I need the front four to have. Along with discipline, which I had to scale down, as Sissoko has been suspended twice in the league, and once in Europe, I took down his tackling to normal and I've seen alot less fouls from my ANC.

Defence: Stellar. Maybe its my back four but I can not say one bad word about them as Chiellini has 7 MoM and picks out everything on the ground and in the air. My full backs work great and work horses when it comes to running up and down to cover the AMwingers and closing down when its their turn to defend.

I have made no tweaks to the defence, my ANC's tackling is at normal against weaker opposition and hard when he's up against the likes of Sneijder etc. I am teaching my IFs to place their shot and work on their finishing as they have had so many CCCs and taken them all poorly. I will continue this tactic throughout the end of the season, thank you for it and I can only imagine it getting better!

Ok lukaku and santa cruz def. is not the right striker to play in this tactic. Use Torres.
I think I've seen a couple of guys who are using Liverpool and I believe they are doing good - some winning the EPL with good results.

Can you post your first 11 and 1 match stats? cheers.

First of all, thanks for sticking with it despite the horrid results.
Honestly I would think Milan have the squad to play this tactic as well.
Do you put Pato on the left Robinho on the right and Ibra up front?

Oh yeah have you tried to push up the defense to normal? It works for some - better possession as well as defense from long shot. and what I can suggest is to lower down your tempo since I don't think Milan have exactly the 'fastest' squad despite the sick front 3.

Other than that try what GabeGenesis do and see how it works. Cheers

Okay first of all thanks for the very detailed analysis. That helps me a lot to see what aspects I should work on.

About the attacker, honestly especially the striker, that's the only area of this tactic which I have most confidence of. I rarely tweak those settings anymore. IF could use some work but my IFs are performing well. I think if your team is making plenty of CCC the tactic has - to some extent - done its job. From there it's about your attackers to finish it (mortal bombat style lol). Maybe - just maybe - you can put up time wasting to just before sometime or maybe even the 1st notch of sometime. That will allow your team to not rushing anything.

By the way I think you got the central midf wrong there. Marchisio is the better passer right? I think he'll do well as the central playmaker who sits deep and Aquilani as the attacking midf who will run into the box. By default I've set the right central midf to not run into the box, it's the left one who does it. :D

And for the tackle I believe that is true. I only done DMC to always hard because I believe it's better to tackle more than tackle less. Sometimes I replace him on the hour mark to prevent him from being sent off.
 
Tactic does not work. I'm Brighton. 1 game in, and can't even dominate league 2 opposition.

How constructive.....*cough*

Back to a serious note: I've been employing this at Dundee - Scottish First Division for you ignorant big leaguers! ;) I took over with them bottom of the league, with a -10 points deficit and a board hungry for a top 3 place....no problem. *Gulp*. So i employ the tactic first game in charge. Worked beautifully! 4-0 win away from home against 3rd place. Promising signs. However, in the next few matches i scraped through with 2-1's 1-0's and a draw or two - sadly more to do with dreadful finishing by lackluster defenders which forced my hand on getting back into the game. I found that having two good strikers in the team and only one capable centre mid that sacrificing one of my centre midfielders for an extra striker worked. I have used this for the last 12 games, leaving me with a record of 9 wins, 2 draws and a loss. The loss being to top of the table oponents and getting a man sent off after 25 minutes.
On an original tactic note : Against lower league teams the original tactic works perfectly, even with the lack of talent and inside forwards who still cant play on opposite sides (i am currently training them to be be able to play left and right for inverted play.) I believe this is beacause my team find it easier to control the smaller teams, hopeful that once i get rid of a few players and bring in - albeit 'older' - qaulity players i should stand a far better chance of success with the original tactic. A free transfer snap up of Fernando Ricksen has dessimated my wage budget but he has created 75% of my goals so i'm looking for more bargain budget players to fill out the sqaud and we're going for promotion next year!! Ha.

now 8 matches won in a row beated chelsea 1-0 away, and manchester united 2-1 home

btw im using newcastle

sold coloccini,jonas,joey barton,loverkrands andy carrol, ameobi, etc

and bought cisse, douglas costa,and beckham

now my team is on 3rd position in christmas

really, this tactic works well

Ehh, this tactics doesn't work in my club Jagiellonia Bialystok. I have good Wingers, average Foward, and good Mids. I don't know, waht happen. I lost, with weak team in my league. Results is bad, 9 in leaderboard, but pretty good in EL. They play good with strong club, but with weak dają dupy (are bad).
I dont, know... you results is amazing, my is very bad. What happen?

You should give more information, why is your team losing? Is the defence doing well, or not? Are the attackers not scoring any goals or what? 8-|
 
I like the idea of this tactic, however not sure on what team instructions to use to best suit my Liverpool team....any help appreciated!

No signings made yet as only just started the season and we have a big fat budget of £0,000,000.
 
striker shoots a lot, but defensive is tragic 60% conceded a goal Own goals

Have you installed the 11.1 patch? They have £25 million on there!
 
No patch not yet installed as my internet at home is down, don't get me started mate.

Any help on team instructions would be great...thats where I am being shafted I think.
