Tactics working great for my team at the moment, and i'm managing Luton in the Blue Square Premier. Top of the league by 11 points after only 16 games, so it clearly works.
Just a quick question, it's probably been answered but has anybody else had either of their centrebacks scoring bundles of goals. After 16 league games, my def (c) has scored 11 goals, which is more than in any of his previous seasons combined.

Been testing this with Burnley in my first season. Started it early pre-season and set to blend, 7 games into the npower championship i am 3rd, unbeated with 2 draws and the rest wins.
I have tweaked it quite a bit to suite my players, but other than that it seems to be working quite well. My striker Iwulemo is joint 2nd top scorer, although he does need to work on his finishing, and Chris Eagles on the wing has banged a few in too. Not to mention the assists coming from the other wing.
I will keep it going and give more feedback as i get further into the season.

I've never used any of the versions extensively on 11.2 since I've stopped playing 'seriously' since the new patch.
But if I had to choose v5 - which is the new one - is the best out of the other versions.
A lot - as you can see for example 2 guys above your post - have had good results with it on the new patch. Although some hasn't that much compared to the old patch.
So yeah... just try the v5 and see how it goes.

Just to say, the key is to tweak this to suite your own team, and change tactics during game if you need to.
For example, i changed to a defensive style, still keeping these tactics, and was on contain for much of the game, but still managed to get this result against wigan in the cup.
update: still working well, i've managed to sort my defence out which were leaking goals and my cup run is still going. BEat west brom 3-4 and stoke 3-0

Looks great right now. Playing as Dortmund on Version 11.2.1. Only just finished pre-season but there's some decent results in there.

Thanks for sharing this seemingly GREAT tactic, kudos! I say seemingly as I have only recently bought FM11 and as such have just completed pre-season LFC, but have seen enough in those few games to get excited!
Now I have played most if not all FM's and dare I say CM games and have always been more interested in the a sandbox style of playing and a "Plug & Play" approach to tactics. Maybe this was due in part to being inpatient or just wanting to win everything in sight as fast as possible!
This tactic has really opened my eyes to the potential of FM11. Reading everyone’s experiences and tips has really inspired me to look deeper.
This may be starting to sound a bit "Fan Boy" but I just wanted to say thanks for opening my eyes!
Oh and in my first game Torres gets injured 10 minutes in, on comes Kadlec scores 2 and then goes on to start every pre-season game with an average of 2 goals per game, MONSTER!

Great tactic, tweaked just 1 or 2 things and everything went great. Currently playing with Ajax, wins against Barcelona and AS Roma in the CL groupstage. Everything is going smooth. But now i'm at the half of my first season and suddenly things are getting tricky. I'm not dominating games anymore and even losing against lower skilled teams.
I suppose the AI cracked the tactic, so i tweaked it a little more(Mentality, crossing etc). But without any result
Also my striker starts missing dozens of 99% goal oppertunities. Is there someone who can give me some advice how to deal with this problem?

Therefore I have extensively testing other setting which so far works well.
I wouldn't call it Barcelona-esque but pretty much that's how they play.
Controlling the ball on the backline and midfield to draw opposition in and create spaces
and then suddenly a through pass to the front where the front 3 just dominates.
Finally my playmaker is constantly getting 'Bossing the midfield' performance and constantly getting 60+ passes in a game. I can't achieve 100 passes because it's rather useless to have a lot of passes which going back and forth with no penetrating wouldn't it?
My wingers also play this little through ball to the striker which is always nice.
And by the way the philosophy is now very fluid - not very rigid anymore.
Maybe a couple of you will like that better.

Does your tactic works for smaller teams in smaller leagues? Can I drop the wingbacks to normal BL and BR you think? Would be great

Hey Koflok.
i find it really hard to keep the possession and creating chances against most of the bigger teams.
I play with Hércules aswell (wanted to see if i could make allmost the same results like you did).
I tried to use both the version 5 tactic and the old version "Goals Galore 2011.0 - BETA".
do you have any idea how come i got this problem, when everybody els has got great results with other teams?
