They opened the scoring before an own goal a minute later got us back into it, It looked like Pastore would go on to win us the game with an 87th minute goal but they got one back in injury time and we could well be out of Europa because of that goal.

Well we get resoundly beaten back in Russia and are comfortably knocked out of Europe thanks to a 5-2 on aggregate loss.

All the sadness from getting knocked out of the Europa League is short lived though as we confirm our place in the Champions League next season

We were actually behind in this match twice but managed to make a few subs and we turned it up a notch late on an smashed in 3 late goals to make the match look a whole lot more dominant than it was.

They had a man sent off early on but it didnt really help us as they seemed to shut up shop and it took almost an hour after the sending off for us to break the deadlock with winger Kostic netting the first goal and then Benteke got the second.
What i didnt realise until after the match was that Arsenal lost to Liverpool early on in the day meaning only one thing . . . . .

So despite losing our last two games we still win the League by a credible 4 points, Balotelli came in second in the race for the Golden Boot after his recent 10 goals in 3 games he flew up the charts whilst Bernard and Barkley came second and third in the highest average rating charts with Townsend in second and Bernard in third for most assists.

We really should have added to our Trophy Cabinet today but some how came out with a loss, Balotelli missed a penalty inside 10 minutes against his former club before Vietto put them 2-0 up just after half time before we managed to get it back level through goals from Odegaard and then Balotelli but they managed to get a very late winner from new signing Muto.

Thats more like it as we get our revenge on Liverpool after our recent loss in the Cup with Cook scoring inside 5 minutes before they got one back just before half time, Balotelli netted the winner in the second half in a game were we had a lot of the ball but Liverpool missed a shed load of chances. The days when Icardi and Origi used to smash them past us are over.

It was all over inside 20 minutes as Tottenham stormed into a 2-0 lead before we could even get going, we got a consolation goal but our Cup dream was over even after beating Man Utd and Arsenal in previous rounds.
