They took an early lead in a game that they had the better chances but we equalized half an hour in thanks to Wilkinson before Stokes scored a late winner and we showed we can beat anyone at home!

We snatched a draw away from home as we yet again showed we dont travel well going from an amazing win against AC Milan to a struggling draw against PSV.

Oh yes what a result in Limerick! Old man McGeady scored from the penalty spot early on but it was our centre backs to thank as they scored a couple of goals close together around the hour mark out of nowhere to put us in a brilliant position for the second leg.

2nd Leg V Arsenal - Away

Arsenal were looking dominant back in London with a shed load of chances and a couple of goals but we managed to tighten up the defence in the second half and score two late goals to even it up on the night and put the shine on an impressive victory before Scheel went and got sent off.

Think im going to need it! Its been nice seeing the club rise in the European rankings and the whole league going up the rankings too, i have never got on this well in all of the previous limerick saves and its nice slowly building the club to being a top european team, to go from being lucky to make the group stages to getting to the knockout stages is brilliant

So along with our amazing European exploits we comfortably won 4 other cup matches and the month include beating local rivals Cork City 3 times in 7 days.
We got off to a perfect start in the league with 3 wins from 3 and the key for the new season is to keep Stanley and Wilkinson away from any nasty injuries.

Champions League Quarter Final

1st Leg V Chelsea - Home

They dominated the game and our attacking players were poor but when loanee Jackson scored an early goal we tried to shut up shop and it worked so well for an hour or so before 34 year old Diego Costa grabbed an equalizer.

2nd Leg V Chelsea - Away

They threw everything at us but we clung on for most of the game and would have gone out on away goals anyway before Schurrle got two very dubious penalty decisions to see them through.

So we smashed St Pat's in the All Ireland Cup Semi Finals with a huge 8-2 result in the second leg at the end of the month to set up a huge final against bogey team Bohemians who managed to ****** a draw in the league with us at the beginning of the month. We won our other 3 league games easily with Roland Stanley in fine form.

All Ireland Cup Final V Bohemian

We totally dominated them from the start of the game but as our bogey team we ended up going behind before Stanley scored an equalizer on the hour mark and set it to extra time, Sean Murray ended up scoring a late winner just as it looked like it was going to penalties.

Along with the Cup Final we won both of our other cup competition games and also broke the record for highest scoring game in the league after putting 9 past Shelbourne at the start of the month.
We went on to win all 5 of our league matches this month with the duo of Stanley and Wilkinson in crazy good form.

We did well thanks to Sami getting a couple of early goals but our attacking forces struggled to put the ball in the back of the net after that, it was nice to see 4 players from our youth academy start in the Final including McEntee, Maher, Grant and Curran.

So we won the Semi's and Finals one after the other in the Munster Senior Cup with the local lads involved heavily and they also won us our other cup game of the month against Shamrock Rovers.
In the league it was 5 comfortable wins, and hopefully the Stanley injury wont be too much of a worry for the next few months as long as hes back for the Champions League group stages.

It was easy enough away from home with a 3-0 win but we destroyed them back in Limerick with 8 goals as it was also nice to see a few of the new signings get their first goals for the club.

It was a tough start to the month in the league as we just about won 2 and drew the other as we struggled against Sligo Rovers, Cork City and Dundalk all big rivals.
We did end the month well in the league with a couple of wins including a brilliant performance by new signing Ciftci.

Even though we are 3rd seeds i feel in this group we can be seen as the second best team behind PSG who have been one of the most dominant teams in the Champions League in recent seasons with 4 Champions League Cups in 9 years.

Along with the European games it was nice to beat rivals Dundalk in two different cup competitions and we are still undefeated in the league with 2 more wins and a bore draw against local rivals Cork City whilst Ciftci and Wilkinson are fighting it out for that starting berth up front but its nice to have a little competition in the side.

We drew again in the league before beating bogey team Bohemians comfortably for once in the cup before getting back on track in the league after 3 cup games and a couple of bore draws in the league we smashed a couple of teams to end the month.

Thanks man will be nice to not have to do all the qualifiers for the champions league as i think were a bit above that level now, its nice slowly building the team in european rankings and seeing the attendances slowly rise too and the season ticket holders, i think even the irish league prize money has increased too from the oringinal £180k to almost 500K

We smashed St Pat's in the Senior Challenge Cup Semi Final before winning our next 5 league games and made it undefeated in 32 league games but we made the last game hard work and it looked like at more than one point we would lose our last game of the season in the league but we managed to keep it a draw and secure the unbeaten season.
