October - November update

Matchday 6

View attachment 151986View attachment 151985
The most exciting encounters today came from the Bernabeu and the Allianz Arena as both Real Madrid and Bayern drew with PSG and Arsenal respectively. For the Spanish side, it's not exactly a great result as they stay in the bottom three on the league table as Arsenal also stay in the bottom half of the table. Sevilla got a nice win against Inter and Chelsea impressed as they beat in-form Dortmund. Barcelona also beat Tottenham at the Lane as Messi broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute. In other results, Leverkusen impressed against Juventus as they drew 2-2 and Corinthians did the same against Manchester United. The all-Spanish encounter between Valencia and Atletico ended in an incredible 3-3 draw as Dragovic scored his first goal with Atletico.

Another set of interesting and exciting results in this matchday as the battle for first continues with Bayern and Juventus both winning, meaning they both get closer and closer to the top of the table. On top of that, the German side beat Manchester United, who's good form came to an end at home today. PSG scored first in a tight game against Dortmund but couldn't hold on to a win and lost 2-1. Barcelona were beaten at home by Manchester City as well and Ronaldo scored the only goal of the game between Benfica and Real Madrid to give Los Merengues the 3 points. Valencia and Chelsea drew 0-0 as Zouma got sent off, Inter and Tottenham also drew 1-1 and Atletico did the same with Corinthians as Cazorla scored his first goal for his new club. The champions Arsenal did well to overcome newly promoted side Leverkusen as last season's revelation Mesut Ozil scored late on to kill the game.

Matchday 8 saw the first Clasico of the season as Messi scored a penalty to give Barcelona the three points against Real Madrid, who's season just keeps getting worse and worse. Arsenal got a great victory against Sevilla as they attempt to get back at the top of the table whilst both Bayern and Juventus continued their ascension as well with wins against Atletico and Tottenham respectively. Corinthians also managed an impressive win against Valencia and Benfica beat in-form Dortmund to keep up the form of their own. Inter beat Manchester City in what should have been an easy win for Guardiola's side. Finally, PSG continued their winless start to the season with a draw against Chelsea as Ivanovic rescued a point for the Blues against the French giants.
Matchday 9

The last matches of October saw no upsets and nothing too major apart from PSG's first league win this season against Benfica as Verratti and Cavani gifted the French club the 3 points. Bayern could only draw against Valencia as Gabriel Barbosa scored the equaliser with 19 minutes to go, allowing Juventus to pull away as they won against Manchester City. The other Manchester side also won against Sevilla as Lukaku scored with 10 minutes to go to kill the game and Inter managed a very impressive win against Real Madrid. Dortmund's good run came to an end as Suarez scored twice for the Blaugranas and Chelsea won narrowly against Corinthians. Finally, Leverkusen were smashed by Atletico despite the Spanish side being a man down for over an hour of the game.

If there's anything to remember from this month, it's that Barcelona absolutely rocked it and definitely look like the favourites this season as the league table looks like this after 9 games:

Despite getting their first league win, PSG still stay in the relegation zone whilst newly-promoted Leverkusen seem to be struggling in the first division. Arsenal have managed a great comeback as they now sit in 5th but Real Madrid stay in 15th, which is definitely considered unacceptable for a club as big as Real Madrid despite them only finished 6th last year. Juventus and Manchester United are keeping the pressure on Barcelona at the top as they'll attempt to win the title too.

Matchday 10

And finally PSG seem to be picking up some form as they beat current leaders Barcelona 2-0 at the Parc des Princes with goals from Robben and Martial whilst Atletico and Manchester United also both won 2-0 against Sevilla and Tottenham respectively. Real Madrid also surprised as they beat title contender Juventus quite easily at the Bernabeu. Arsenal lost yet again as Aguero scored the only goal of the game between Arsenal and Manchester City and Leverkusen could not get a win against Valencia to hope to move up the table a bit more. Benfica also continued their good run as they beat Chelsea and Bayern coasted past Corinthians, who now sit at the very bottom of the league.

Arsenal and Benfica didn't play in this matchday as they wait on Barcelona and Real Madrid, who both had Champions League games and therefore couldn't play their games. PSG also played a couple of days earlier against Inter in order to play their Europa League game and managed a 3rd win in a row with goals fom Cavani, Robben and Biglia as the Italian side almost managed a comeback but it wasn't to be. Manchester United and Juventus now top the league as they both easily beat Manchester City and Dortmund respectively. The battle for safety continued as Leverkusen crushed Corinthians away from home and get closer to getting out of the relegation zone, with Tottenham failing to win yet again and getting even closer to the relegation zone now. Chelsea managed a great win against Bayern who failed to go top of the league ahead of Barcelona's game in hand.

And there comes the end of November with yet another exciting matchday which saw Tottenham get out of the relegation zone with a win against Valencia and saw Sevilla, Leverkusen and Corinthians stay even deeper in it as Sevilla drew with the Brazilian side and Leverkusen narrowly lost to German rivals Bayern. Real Madrid came back from their Champions League game in style as they beat Manchester United but Barcelona struggled and could only manage a draw against Chelsea. Manchester City also beat Atletico in what was a great game at the top half of the table and Inter drew with Benfica. Finally, Dortmund made Arsenal's season even worse as Berardi scored twice to give his side a 3-2 win against the Gunners.

As seen through the team of the month, Manchester United had a great one and showed that their chairman's investments were definitely worth it! The league table looks like this as Arsenal, Benfica, Real Madrid, and Barcelona all have a game in hand to play:

Real Madrid slowly climbed their way up as Arsenal dropped back down to the bottom half of the table and Atletico haven't performed as well as people thought they would this season. Manchester City have blown everyone's expectations by sitting in 5th and Juventus top the league after 12 games. Dortmund are also a surprise package as they're the only promoted team to not be in the bottom 4. PSG have a lot of work to do if they want to achieve last season's 7th place as they sit in 14th.

Apologies for the double-update again but I lost the October file so had to do both months. For some reason, the in-game transfer window starts on the 25th of December so I've already simulated until just before that and will let you know when the winter transfer window starts but most likely later today and will last until tomorrow!

Juve top of the table! I was honest jog a bit worried after seeing how much some of the other teams in the league spent and the kind of players they were bringing in, but it seems my worry was for nothing! Now we just need Barca to lose or draw their game in hand :P

Let's hope we do better with our game in hand this season...

Well that was ****.... too many draws and we don't seem to beat the teams we should beat :(

Got to change things up in January it seems!

Btw: Tevez is still unhappy because of a lack of continental football :(

Is he? I swear I removed his unhappiness straight when you mentioned it so that's odd :P I'll get rid of it again then I guess hahaha.

Xavi satisfied with start

FWL
A solid start here, bar the 2 shock defeats to the new money: City and PSG. Other than that it's been relatively comfortable and we can go top if we win our game in hand.

European Super Cup
We lost this. Something that is making Lewie very happy indeed (about the only thing that can given their league performance :P ). Mathieu, Kimmich, Roberto, Tello all played. No Messi or Neymar...

World League Cup
We've struggled in this somewhat, although have had a fairly difficult path so far... Ajax, Atletico Mineiro and Sevilla. We now have former Champions League winners.... Nottingham Forest.... in the next round.

Champions League
Standard. 6 wins. Siena, Split and Viktoria Koln were our opponents. Only Siena scored past us.
We can play: FC Voluntari, Torpedo Moscow, FC Istres, M. Netanya, Leixoes, Bradford City or Wohlen in the first knockout round. Then it's just a case of when, not if we meet Real Madrid.

Transfer List
Adriano (LB/RB) - Free
Just take him, please!

Claudio Bravo (GK) - £5m
Still a solid keeper, but we need rid of him to let Ter Stegen develop more.

Andrés Iniesta (CM/CAM) - £10m
Who wouldn't want such a brilliant playmaker? Just need his wage out to focus on the youth

Jeremy Mathieu (CB/LB) - Free
Same as Adriano, take him!

Alex Song (CDM/CM) - £7m
Need a ball winner? Look no further

Christian Tello (AML/AMR) - £10m
A great winger, just not in my plans

Aren't we at the end of November, not December? :P
As I said at the end of the last update, I've already simmed through the first two weeks of December but the transfer window in-game starts on the 25th, so I didn't release the December update as not all the games have been played... Therefore, the chairman window starts now so that all the transfers are made right before the in-game window, as was suggested to me before...

In that case can we have updated finances? :)
