Liverpool FC: The 5 Year Plan

The presentation is just AMAZING !!! I will be following for sure !! Good luck with the save !

Could be Liverpool FC: The 6 month plan if these results carry on! :P

All jokes aside I hope they give you enough time to rebuild the squad, and the results will come!

Hang in there mate! The presentation is brilliant as always :)

Loving this story, as it did last year. So far loving FM16 between doing my own story (which I need to continue today :D) and all the awesome stories other people are doing. But yours looks great as always Brendn. Could struggle to stay at Liverpool though if these results continue... :P

Great win against Chelsea, the other results are somewhat of a mixed bag but there are improvements. You've also gotten a great player in Bender and I imagine that he'll be a significant boost to your squad, not sure about Subotic though as he never particularly impressed me at Dortmund.

Aye, but what a 6 months it's been :P

No seriously, This window will be make or break for me since I need to finish int he top half to get enough trust from the board.

Results will come mate without a doubt. January is going to be an important window

Aye, I completely agree with you. Just a matter of who is available.

Cheers for the support mate. The story hasn't gotten the best of starts but like last year but as frustrating and mind-wrecking it is, I'm loving it :P Cheers for following :)

Bender was a bit of a bargain!

You'll get going soon mate!

He was indeed. Disgruntled at Dortmund and he wanted out. I snapped him up since he's a perfect Ball Winning Midfielder.

Aye, I'm struggling for consistency. I've done well against the big sides when I've come up against them but it's the rest of the table that's giving me trouble :P

that's interesting

He's too good a player n fairness. I usually consider them and Everton no-go clubs for transfer options but Valdes is a top, top Goalkeeper and I see no reason not to bring him to Anfield. It's not like He's a United Legend. He came in and played 3, maybe 4 games. I'd say he's just as glad to get out ans we are to get him in.

Hope you lose in the fa cup game but other than that good luck ;)

Ont he first day, of the first month... We travel to the Richest club in the country.
Relegation candidates Aston Villa and Sunderland will be fighting for survival while
Crystal Palace are looking to cement their mid-table position. Welcome to 2016.

I thought we'd done enough but the controversial summer departure, Raheem Sterling scores twice to
deny Liverpool a massive 3 points on the road. 87 minutes into the contest... We just couldn't hold out.

Confident performance and we put the result to bed in injury time. Sven Bender also made his
Debut for the club and put in a great defensive shift; closing down all over the park and putting
the opposition under enormous pressure.

With Palace down to 10 men after only 10 minutes, we stretched them wide and
put 3 past them int eh first half. Comfortable win and we never really had to get
out of 3rd gear.

I was chuffed with this result since it was my first back-to-back win as Liverpool Manager. It was
a ****** tough task to get this squad to believe in themselves again but I think we've turned a corner.
Pushing onward to secure Europa League football and... maybe dream of finishing higher.

Ahead in the second minute but in truth is a poor game. Coutinho and Firminho pulled
the strings from their wide play-making roles but Ings and Sturridge didn't put their
chances away. Valdés made his club debut though and did well, keeping a clean sheet.

I'm not going to begrudge Huddersfield the win, they deserved it. A real combative display
by the home side and they took the lead twice. I felt like we were always in the game though
and playing well. It took a magical 89th minute free kick to put the midlands club into the
5th round.

Our recent form has seen us rise to 9th in the table, though we are 15 points off the
top 4; with United holding a game in hand over us. Tottenham's form this season has
thrown a spanner in the works since a top 4 finish is hard enough as it is.

I decided to keep my acquisitions small. A Goalkeeper to save us points; to make up for the points we
dropped earlier in the season. Bender comes in to give us back what we lost when Marcherano left
the club; a Defensive minded midfielder who'll chase everything and a tenacity to win every ball.

Bender + Henderson as a midfield pair to chase for everything and harass the opposition.
Firminho + Lallana as a wide play-making pair to take the ball into the final third.
Coutinho + Sturridge to try recreate the Gerrard + Torres partnership.

I like Can, I was giving him plenty of game time and left he could be an important player for us
but when PSG offered big money, I accepted it and got in bender as a like-for-like replacement.
Ibe and Ings were not getting enough games in the side so I sent them out on loan for the rest
of the season while the arrival of Valdés meant that Bogdan was now our no.3 so I sent him out
to get some first team football as I'll be trusting Mingolet int eh Europa League form here on in.

Looks like your fortune in the league has finally turned around, you've still got a lot of catching up to do but with a bit of luck anything is possible. The combination of Bender/Henderson should be troubling for any side as they both have incredible stamina and work rate. The Huddersfield result however must be quite a tough one to take... Who knows maybe it'll turn out to be blessing in disguise as you can now focus 100% on the Europa League.

Aye, I got some belief back intot he side and now we're scoring goals. I'm not even thinking about top 4 since we've too much ground to catch up. If I find myself 4-6 points behind with 5 games to go, I'll consider it a possibility.

My thoughts exactly :P

Aye, I love the FA cup and would have loved to have gone further but now I only have two competitions to focus on. The Europa League is the more important of the two anyway.

The atmosphere in Bilbao was absolutely electric. If we didn't know what kind of a game we were
in store for, we'd soon find out. This Bilbao side was well up for it.

7th Minute

The ball is swung in from the right, Skrtle gets tot he first challenge but can't clear. The ball
drops infront of the goalmouth and Aduriz taps in the opener.

Half Time

I waited until everyone was in the dressing room, I didn't want them to find me in there.
I waited outside, listening for voices, for comments..... for leaders. Anyone can criticize;
pundits get paid to do it all day, but they don't get paid to manage because they don't know
anything about motivation.

"Two nill...." I let the words hang in the air, just to see who would meet my gaze. Coutinho
spat at the ground, his eyes boring a hole in mine. I could see that fire, that Latin fury bubbling
beneath the surpassed.

"Christian (Benteke), take off your boots. Your shift is up"

"But boss, I've.."

"Sturrudge" I said cutting Benteke off, "Remember that pass Gerrard set up up to scare
against Fullham?"

"Yes boss?" he nodded

"Philipe's got one of those in him today" I said turning my head to Coutinho "I can feel it,
you're making assists for fun right now, grab another one today and we get the plane
home rather than the train."
I could see the beginnings of a smile. That was enough.

"Mon lads, give me 10 minutes!" I shouted, changing the urgency in my voice. "2-0 feels a **** of'a
lot better than 2-1. Put the fear of god into 'em!"

Nothing more I can do or say, I left the dressing room and left it up to them. They're
the ones who have to win the game, all I can do is believe in them!

52nd Minute

I told the boy he had it in him, and by **** he did. Setting up an insane pass but
take nothing away from Sturridge, feigning one way and then breaking away from
the defenders and taking the shot on the turn... World class goal.

Athletic 2-1 Liverpool

72nd Minute

Adam Lallana catches the ball inside the box, twists and beats the keeper at the near
post. 2-2. We've leveled the game!!!

Athletic 2-2 Liverpool

85th Minute

Firminho takes the ball wide, holds it up; spots the run of Lallana and makes a fantastic cross,
bypassing the entire Athletic Bilbao defense, Lallana lets the ball bounce before unleashing a
ferocious, first time shot that rifles into the back of the net!!!

Athletic 2 - 3 Liverpool
