Liverpool v Wolves

Both the Liverpool manager and the team are responsible for their performances at the moment.

Shocking.
quite possibly the worst ive seen them play, and that includes the northhampton game

bensmith_times Ben Smith
This is also now officially #lfc's worst start to a Premier League campaign.

Kenny until summer, to get the fans onside and get the players going, then Hiddink or someone.

Hodgson saved them from relegation, made them mid-table and had a jammy cup run which is the only thing which got him the job.

Well I agree that what he did with Fulham shouldn't have been enough to get him the Liverpool job, but you are being harsh, and basically wording his achievements in the worst possible way you can.

He saved them from relegation when it looked impossible, made a relegation battling team into a confortable top half team, an overachievement in most peoples eyes, and got them to the final of a highly competative cup which contained teams with much better players and bigger budgets than Fulham. Whichever way you look at it, he did an excellent job with Fulham.

While I think some of you on here are over reacting quite drastically, it would appear that Roy's position is on the line, if the performances don't improve in the next few games, he should go.

Lol obvious WUM.

What?

Aboslutely loved Wolves defending of the Gerrard free-kick late on, that really rubbed their noses in it.

Roy needs good performances and soon or else he's in trouble. I've just seen the highlights on match of the day and wolves played very well. According to my mate the highlights don't do the wolves performance justice.

The times backpage healine tommorow is "Angry Kop turns on Hodgson"

And #HodgsonOut is trending nationally and growing fast on twitter.

Precisely. We aren't the force we used to be, and I'll be the first to admit that. However the team/squad we have is far better than what Roy is producing at the moment. Defeats to Blackpool/Northampton/Wolves. It is not good enough and surely NESV know this.
the thing is, he isnt helping himself at all. meireles at right wing? ridiculous, he got the side playing in a way that doesnt suit them at all, most all their most potent player. who looks completely disinterested. You have him scrouging for half assed supply and aerial ball, and him with his back to goal. thats 75% of the defenders work done for them against torres

Think we gonna thrash Liverpool in the FA Cup...at OT
Never underestimate Liverpool's ability to raise their game against us even when they are in diabolical form.:p

Didn't some Rangers fan predict liverpool to win the league? And a liverpool fan, Mr T?

Got to be one of the worst predictions ever.XD

Under-fire Roy Hodgson has blasted Liverpool's supporters for not supporting the team after his side suffered another humiliating defeat at the hands of Wolves.

Mick McCarthy’s Wanderers heaped further misery on the Anfield club after Stephen Ward’s goal condemned them to their eighth defeat of the season.

The home fans were understandably angry about the loss to the side who, before the match, were bottom of the Premier League, and made their feelings known during the game and at the final whistle.

Chants for Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish rung around Anfield and a chorus of boos greeted the defeat but Hodgson insists it is nothing new and asked the fans to keep supporting the club in the bad times.

He said: "I'm getting used to the negativity. Kenny [Dalglish] was a rival for the job and it was given to me. He's a Liverpool legend.

"But I don't like it. It's the Kop's way of showing they are not happy with what the team is doing. We've had to live with negativity ever since I came here.

"The famous Anfield support has not really been there – there were problems with the owners and they have been singing for Kenny.

"I can only hope these 'fans' become 'supporters' as well because this is a time when the club needs support.

"The negativity does affect confidence."

Hodgson revealed he was disappointed with how his players reacted after an extended break because of the winter weather disruptions.

"Disappointing is the buzzword at the moment. There is not a stronger word than that," he added.

"We came here hoping we would fly around the field and play well but we did the opposite. It's as bad a team performance as we've given, certainly here at Anfield.

"Rather than a disappointing 0-0 we let them in to score for an even more disappointing 0-1. That compounded the problem.

"Credit to Wolves, their gameplan was good. They won challenges. I don't think we had the tempo to our game to say we deserved anything more than we got."

Despite the lacklustre defeat the former Fulham boss insists his side are desperate to show the fans they can move up the table.

He added: "It's a sad way to end 2011. We were desperate to show the supporters we can move up the table and we let them down.

"They made that perfectly clear to us. I can only empathise – if I was a supporter I would be extremely disappointed.

"But I've seen times like this. I have belief in my own ability, the players are working hard to bring me and the club success.

"It's going to be picking them up after they didn't do the job tonight."

Heard the result on the radio coming home, I actually made a little "noise" when I heard the result after laughing when I heard Arsenal had drawn away to Wigan.

**** you Karma :(

What a tool.

So he's accusing those fans who paid their hard earned money, who may be at risk of being unemployed due to the economic climate of not being supporters?

He is a piece of work. Those fans believe you are not the right man for the job. It's like seeing your wife being humped by your worst enemy but there's nothing you can do. End this nightmare now NESV.

Just a matter of days now surely? theres no excuse to lose against Wolves (No Offence to Wolves supporters) we had a strong team out, Gerrard and Torres.

maybe stick with roy untill Jan and see who he can bring in to help the situation?
maybe sack him now and appoint Houghton? Hiddink? Deshcamps?
who knows?

^ just my thoughts as a Liverpool fan, bad times!
