i like slipknot because of their style they have good musics though but obviously their not my nr 1 metal band maybe machine head is my fav metal band(TRASH METAL) and DF/COB(DEATH METAL)

Haha, nah it's not true Ad, don't worry. I'm sure you've seen the type I mean around manchester though.
 
Aye. Whereabouts do you stay in Manchester? I'm at Wilmslow Park at the minute on the edge of Rusholme and curry mile, opposite whitworth park.
 
Wilmslow Park...Is that the one on Oxford Road above Lidl etc? Or opposite as in down Moss Lane East down a street that looks like its full of crackheads?

I'm in Fallowfield atm, did live in Whitworth Park (the halls after the park itself) in first year though.
 
Yeah, above the varsity and lidl supermarkets it is. There's a lass in one of my seminar groups staying in whitworth park it looks pretty swish. Our halls are a right rip-off. Where's best places to go on nights out? All my flatmates end up dragging me to some right *****. I've been to Fifth Avenue, which seems to be pretty ****, I've been to Joshua Brooks which is pretty ****, love going to satans (punk and ska night once a month ;)), been to opus which was ok, went to pure but mate was too ****** to get in, been to space which is ****...Haven't found any decent cheap night outs tbh.
 
Whitworth Park is cool as :P.

5th Ave is sometimes aab, sometimes it's awesome if u want a cheap messy one. Can't believe you've been to Opus, ewwwww. Satan's is alrite...you might like Jilly's. It's free to get in most nights (or was)...lots of scary people go there and is metal-orientated, but they have at least one punk/ska room when the whole place is open. I could go thru a whole host of places but wont :P.
 
Feel free to do so as I have currently found **** all. It doesn't have to be anything to do with punk or ska music haha I don't really fit in appearance wise, just a bonus for the music!
 
How did the metal thread turn into the good place for students to get pished cheaply in Manchester thread
 
Well a couple of posts ago I did ask what people thought of Avenged Sevenfold but no-one replied!

Just keep your eyes peeled Ad, sometimes paying attention to the millions of flyers works :P. And, most good nights usually have events/groups on facebook these days...

I don't get any flyers, I always wave them away <)

I went to one drum and bass gig at start of the year and it was actually very good. And I ******* hate Drum n Bass!

Ive also seen drum & bass live (well Pendulum so mainstream DnB if theres such a thing), they sucked
 
It wasn't the fact that it was particularly entertaining to watch, just the crowd and the dancing that was quite awesome.
