Nagatomo Signs For Fiorentina

il_stemma_di_fiorentina.jpg

Fiorentina Raid Inter Milan Again!

Fiorentina chairman Bert Ernie has today confirmed that he has agreed a deal with Inter Milan to bring another player to the club, following the recent loan signing of Borja Valero. This time it is a permanent deal rumoured to be in the region of £1 million for experienced full back Yuto Nagatomo.

Fiorentina were lacking serious numbers in the full back positions and Ernie stated that Nagatomo was a perfect signing as he is a versatile players who can play on both sides of the pitch and can cover in wide midfield positions too if required. It is expected that Nagatomo will predominantly be used as a backup player throughout the upcoming season, but Marcelino is said to be pleased to have more experience added to his current crop of players.

There has been mixed reaction from the Fiorentina fans, with one supporter outside the stadium today commenting "It's becoming like an Inter Old Boys Club around here".

For me this has been an interesting window. Very poor budget to start but now well into the positives and that is with spending a good amount also. I do feel the lack of finances is harming quite a few people in this window though

I haven't had much money but reckon I've still managed to find a couple of little gems....now I gotta hope Marcelino decides to play them!

TORINO LOOK TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP

When ambitious new owner Desbot took over amidst a spring of new ownership in the Serie A it was unknown how the British owner would operate his responsibilities as owner, with other chairmen promising unforetold riches and success. In his first season, Desbot actually changed very little, bringing in the experience of Lucas Leiva for £5million from Lazio and the youthful right-back Davide Calabria on loan from
AC Milan. He opted to leave Mazzari in charge after brief discussions with Guus Hiddink (who ended up at Sassuolo), and was rewarded with a solid but unspectacular 7th place finish. It represented a stable entry to life for the new chairman, and Il Toro fans are content.

Today, on the brink of the end of the transfer window and the start of the new season, Torino have announced a raft of new changes. Desbot's big decision was to move Walter Mazzari on - a harsh decision after a solid season - and bring in the big name of Joachim Low. Low had resigned from the German national team post before the World Cup had started and after many years out had been keen to get back into club management. He had been promised by the chairman that star attacking players such as Belotti, Falque and Ljajic would all remain. This promise has been kept despite rumoured interest from new Inter chairman Klippybo for Belotti. Low has had a say in all the new signings for Torino, and is pleased to have the personnel available for his preferred 4231 formation. The chairman has set Low's minimum target for this season as a Europa League spot, with the outside hope of Champions League. The chairman has also reminded Mr Low not to scratch and sniff himself during games, as he has been prone to in the past.

The first major signing of Desbot's reign is Hakan Calhanoglu of AC Milan, for a fee of £10million. Low has the Turk pinpointed for the middle of his attacking trio also consisting of Ljajic and Falque, who will play behind Belotti. Hopefully Belotti will finish this season as top scorer as he just missed out last season.

The next big signing is Vlad Chiriches who has joined on loan from Napoli, with the deal agreed to be made permanent at the end of the season for £7million. The centre back is of great pedigree and will strengthen an area Low has identified as a weak spot in the Turin side.

Next, right-back Davide Calabria returns to the side where he had a successful loan spell last season for a fee of £2.5million and will see exciting youth prospect Nicolo De Angelis join AC Milan as part of the deal.

Lastly, Low has managed to attract exiting young striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan for a season from reigning champions Inter Milan. Pinamonti had a short spell on loan at Lazio last season, and has been promised more game time at Torino this season to further his career.

As ever, chairman Desbot has expressed his gratitude to the other chairmen for their participation in the deals and looks forward to the transfer announcements of other sides as the Serie A division increases in profile! Let's make 2018-19 a good one!

TWO MORE IN AT INTER WITH 7 MORE TO COME (I THINK LOL)

Inter Milan today announced the signings of Andrea Petagna and Jose Luis Palomino from Atalanta. Petagna cost £10m and Palomino came in on a free. These signings mark the end of the spending at Inter as they have spent over £100m with some new arrivals still to be announced!!!

Manager Spalletti had a little dig at AC Milan as he said -
"The chance to sign Petagna at a knock down price was too good to turn down. I know there was interest from that lot down the corridor so it was nice to beat them to him. We have 3 other strikers coming in at the club and one may not be able to play straight away plus with the rules in Europe with having Italian and homegrown players this was a no brainer of a signing. We have a good relationship with the people at Atalanta and the transfer went through really smoothly"

"As for Palomino - we only have 4 CBs at the club so needed cover".

Spalletti said Inter were to announce another 7 new signings when the window is finally closed - on top of the 4 that have already been announced!

Lazio: Phase 2

Background

When Giovanni Ferrero took charge at Lazio he spoke of his ambition to make Lazio a world leader in terms of football. In his first season his objectives were met. Finishing 3rd in Serie A, winning the Italian Super Cup and being competitive in both domestic and European competition.
This was phase 1, to establish Lazio withing the Serie A and secure champions league football and more crucially it's revenue. This takes us to phase 2 of Ferrero's plans for Lazio.

What is phase 2?

Phase 2 looks at the infrastructure of the club. It's training and youth facilities as well as it's stadium. Ferrero believes that to develop Lazio the club needs a home. Not rented accommodation. He wants to create the homely feel which is impossible to achieve in the Olimpico.

Through research spanning the entirety of last season. The board has located two potential locations for this move.

The first option is the Stadio Flaminio.

View attachment 49931

Located Northwest of Rome. The stadium boasts a 30,000 seater capacity. This option would cost the club £30,000,000 and due to this would see no improvement to other facillities.

The second option is Centro Sportivo di Formello

View attachment 49930

The 40 hectare site is located on the outskirts of Rome and currently bases the Lazio training and youth facilities.
The youth stadium located on sight would be redeveloped over 3 seasons with a projected 11,500 seat per season upgrade, added with the already 3,000 seats making a total capacity of 37,500.

View attachment 49929

This plan would also be more financially viable due the outlayed structure over multiple seasons. Therefore allowing up to £8m in upgrades to youth and training facilities.

Lazio have asked season ticket holders to vote on which option they prefer.
A) Option 1
B) Option 2
C) No Change

Chairmen's Note

"I believe we are taking the right steps to develop Lazio into a footballing powerhouse in not only the Italian but also the European and Global market. These proposals allow us to modernise. At this moment in time, none of these projects have deadlines as the financial suitability of these options depends on the transfer window and success of this season to determine if these options are in fact financially viable"

Another update is scheduled for later to reveal the results of our busy summer window.

Torres Signs For Fiorentina

skysports-fernando-torres-atletico-madrid_4279216.jpg

Fernando Torres: I'm Not Ready To Retire Yet

Fernando Torres has spoken out after completing his free transfer to Fiorentina, saying he isn't ready to hang up his boots just yet.

Torres said he wasn't in Italy just to make up the numbers and feels that not only can he push for a first team place this season, but he is aiming to be the club's top goalscorer!

Fiorentina chairman Bert Ernie, who is said to have orchestrated the deal, said "We are delighted to have Fernando here. He is a seasoned professional who has scored goals everywhere he has been.....except Chelsea. He's a great addition to the squad and Marcelino is the man to get the best out of the striker as he nears the end of his career."

MEET THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN AT INTER!!!!!!!!

Luciano Spalletti today unveiled the final 7 of his 11 signings for the summer. In a dramatic step it seems that the club are bringing in young players for the future rather than shoring it up with experience who would do the job immediately - quite a risk considering they are champions!!!!!

--

Firstly you already know of Felipe Anderson and Bastos from Lazio and Petagna and Palomino from Atalanta - Inter have good relationships with both clubs - and that brought a spend of £44m. Inter chairman Rich Uncle Pennybags said it was vital to spend money in Italy so other domestic clubs could build and raise the profile and competitivity of the league.

Anywho in order of price here are the magnificent 7!!!!!!

ARTHUR
Signed from Gremio for £28m

Although Inter are strong in the MC position Spalletti wanted to bring in Arthur as he thought that Arthur could force his way in immediately. With the squad short in AMCs he should get plenty of game time and hopefully the Brazilian will prove his worth. Will be a non-eu player though.

--

View attachment 49832
PIETRO PELLEGRI
Signed from Monaco for £17.5m

This transfer was a no brainer. He is Italian, he should still be at school yet he is good enough to be in Serie A, AT £17.5m I think if he ever gets sold it could be for 5 times that - quite simply he is the future of this club!

--

View attachment 49831
LAUTARO MARTINEZ
Signed from Racing Club for £9.25m

This one is a bargain as we met his release clause. Destined to be a star in the next few years Martinez is a foreign player and could start a mad scramble for his signature if he isn't registered and would then be available on loan from January. If he is registered it would be interesting to see who Spalletti picks between himself and Pellegri.

--

View attachment 49830
MOISE KEAN
Signed from Juventus for £7.5m

Inter needed wingers and to get this one and weaken the future of Juventus made this transfer a must. At only 18y/o he should get some game time although Felipe Anderson and Perisic will be ahead of him probably.

--

View attachment 49829
FLORINEL COMAN
Signed from Steaua Bucharest for £3.6m

The final one of the 4 strikers I brought in and possibly the dark horse amongst the 4. Hopefully he will get game time but at the very least his value will rocket and I know for sure there will be takers whether permanently or on loan. An absolute steal at that price.

--

View attachment 49828
FELICE D'AMICO
Signed from Palermo for £1m

Amazingly enough this was Spalletti's No 1 target for the summer as the new owners took over too late to activate the £567,000 clause that was in place. I know what D'Amico can be and I hope to **** he gets game time if not he will be loaned out for sure. I picture Kean on the left, Pellegri/Martinez in the middle and D'Amico on the right - in a few years that is gold - now to get an AMC!!!

--

View attachment 49827
MATTEO DARMIAN
Signed on loan from Manchester United

Darmian was brought in to challenge the full backs at the club. The fact he is Italian is a natural bonus and hopefully he will prosper at Inter.

--

THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY

Bolatti - was willing to offer £80m+ but when I made my initial enquiry I then went on a player search and decided to go with youth.

Milik - was tempted but as above thought I would go with youth

Calhanoglu - Woke up this morning thinking I will nab him for £10m but someone beat me to it!!

Robben - I offered £20k so was nowhere near lol

Six in at at SPAL as Owner and Manager work within a tight budget.

Looking at the transfers Leonardo has went for a mix of youth and experience and has shown a love for raiding AC Milan and Lazio

The first transfer is former Manchester United wonderkid Ravel Morrison who will be hoping to reignite his career at SPAL. He was bought for £360000. This was the majority of Semplici's budget for SPAL . Semplici will be hoping that Morrison can be key for SPAL

The second transfer is Fabio Borini who has amassed £33 million in transfer fees but hasn't really hit the heights. Hopefully he can perform for SPAL though and as a free this is a bargain.

The third transfer is another freebie from Milan. Hachim Mastour who's inexperienced but could grow into a great player.

Another Milan player for free is the 4th transfer who is called Stefan Simic who is a free transfer and relatively inexperienced.

The 5th transfer is Obbi Oulare who is on loan from Watford. He's a young player with bags of potential and should hopefully grab some goals.

The marquee transfer is Riccardo Montolivo who at 33 years old boasts 65 caps for italy and 360 Serie A appearances, this is the transfer that SPAL fans will look forward to, someone who has done it all coming in to provide experience. So much class for a freebie.

Thank you mate I was very happy with it! I'm keeping to a policy of buying domestically. Hopefully Joachim Low can get this talented bunch of players into the top 4!

I can see Inter retaining the title, that was a very strong window for them! £3.6million for Florinel Coman and £1million for D'Amico?? Daylight robberies!!

I think myself (Lazio) has a strong enough window to retain top 4. I did conserve a. I did conserve cash a little though for my stadium plans

Tony's Transfers

View attachment 49822

Players Out

Jose Luis Palomino to Inter for Free
Andrea Petagna to Inter for £10m

Players In

Andrea Favilli for £5.7m from Ascoli
El Mehdi Jami for £100,000 from Raja Casablanca
Rafinha for Free
Marc-Oliver Kempf for Free

Dr. Tony Xia evidently has not learned from his mistakes from his time at Aston Villa and has continued to overspend on wages. Whereas teams like Sassuolo, Fiorentina and A.C. Milan have acquired free transfers on minimal wages he, in the panic that many other clubs would be after them, has forked out £22,500 a week on Rafinha and £14,000 a week on Marc-Oliver Kempf.

Nevertheless Rafinha is definitely an upgrade on the right wing back position.

View attachment 49821

And Kempf boosts Atalanta’s defence as manager Gian Piero Gasperini does not seem keen on playing promising defender Gianluca Mancini.

View attachment 49820

After selling star striker Andrea Petagna to Inter and being linked with Palombi from Lazio, Xia sprung a surprise by signing Andrea Favilli who grabbed 17 goals for an Ascoli side relegated from Serie B last year.

View attachment 49819

The final signing was El Mehdi Jami from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca after being spotted by scouts in an African Champions League game.

View attachment 49818

It was also confirmed that manager Gasperini would remain at the club, despite Atalanta’s poor position last season, for the foreseeable future. There are strong rumours that Dr. Tony has been pleased with his performance as Atalanta have been second in the table since the end of May.

View attachment 49817

Xia evidently does not realise that this is because Atalanta are only second in the table based on alphabetical order...
