I am playing the same system,no ticks.just adjusted a bit defence wise,some settings.I have played with this tactic for like 16 games,scored 55 and conceded 3.I seemed to score more with target man ticked and tight marking on,but less CCC's :S
with the plug n play,scored less,but more CCC's.
Kind off weird i know,on the other hand,with the 4-1-1-2-2 and with my defence system,I have played 4,scored 22,conceded 3.not sure what I should do.
4213 is so much better defensively.But 4-1-1-2-2,rips apart teams.lol.dillema,how'd the united game go btw mate?
How'd you get such a good defence? Attack is perfectly fine with me, i just cant seem to keep a clean sheet...
I adjusted full back mentality,passing,closing down,creative freedom and same for CD and put them all on tight marking no,I do adjust the tight marking and type of marking for different formations,for e.g.,against 1 striker teams,I put slower defender on tight marking and man mark,sometimes if opposition amc is being too much of a nuisance,I also put dm to man mark.I also seem to concede close to nothing from corners anymore,my nemesis during the first 1 and a half seasons.And I also changed attacking corners.If you want,I can pm you the version I use and you can have a roll with it.'Cuz at the moment I am confused if it is because I am Man United or the tweaks,first time ever playing with a big club in this years game,hence the confusion. :O

Mr Hough, this tactic is as good as ever, ive tried it out on a boro save and its the best tactic ive seen used on fm12, i got macheda on loan and used him as my centre st and 15 in 7 so far he is prolific, will report back when i played more games
I used this with Boro too, I was dipping n and out of the play off's until I downloaded this tactic, finished 2nd on goal difference and then 7th in the prem the next season

I'd take the defence ahead of attack every time, simply because if your strikers are having an off day and can't hit the target, if you're open at the back it could be quite fatal, having a solid defence will at least maybe get you a point if your strikers are playing bad, 1 point is better than none
Uhhhm, bad aha. Lost 4-1, but it was away, so a 3-0 at home will put me through, we didn't play badly, hit the woodwork twice and all their goals came from 1 free kick 1 corner 1 penalty and a lucky break so I'm not too disappointed, but I think thats a lot of credit to this tactic that my Ajax team, which domestically is the best but being realistic isn't a european force yet could've easily got something from the game had I had a little more luck.

nothing short of extraordinary.I was getting similar results in the beginning of the season,but goals dried up recently but first game in,i love this patch,if these kind of things continue to happen.

could you upload your tweaked version...I've tried some def. tweaks but still struggling since the new patch
the previous tweak mate?with the closing down n all?and do you use,use target man and tight marking yes on the central striker?My defender settings are looking really good.played 36 with united,won 36,scored 132,conceded 14.i used use target man and tight marking yes towards the beginning and yielded lots of goals,but more half chances.mr.hough version=more ccc's but less goals :O..what do you use?
