Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

Pendulum has swung, now lost three in a row including away to Sunderland who were second bottom :E

Man U 4 - 0 Newcaste (EPL)
Newcastle 2 - 6 Arsenal (EPL)
Sunderland 2 - 1 Newcastle (EPL)

Up next Villa at home, Everton away, Chelsea at home and Southampton away.

Form now reads: LLLLLWWWWWWLLL

Just to update on this, no changes to the first choice starting 11 (other than those forced by injury or suspension), played another 6 games and won all 6 so it was sensible to persevere!

West Brom 1 - 3 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 3 - 0 Liverpool (EPL)
Swansea 1 - 2 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 2 - 0 Bournemouth (EPL)
Crystal Palace 1 - 5 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 4 - 1 Watford (EPL)

Next 3 games are Man U away, Arsenal at home then Sunderland away!!!

You should rename this crazy tactic to "like Newcastle under Keegan" - every game is a goalfest and there are no draws whatsoever!

Bounced back from that 3 game losing streak with an incredible 6 wins in a row before coming unstuck against Stoke (bottom of the league!). Fun tactic and it's still early doors but wildly unpredictable.

Results so far (full season):

Newcastle 4 - 5 Norwich (EPL)
Man City 4 - 0 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 3 - 6 Tottenham (EPL)
Preston 3 - 2 Newcastle (League Cup)
Newcastle 1 - 2 West Ham (EPL)
West Brom 1 - 3 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 3 - 0 Liverpool (EPL)
Swansea 1 - 2 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 2 - 0 Bournemouth (EPL)
Crystal Palace 1 - 5 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 4 - 1 Watford (EPL)
Man U 4 - 0 Newcaste (EPL)
Newcastle 2 - 6 Arsenal (EPL)
Sunderland 2 - 1 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 2 - 1 Aston Villa (EPL)
Everton 2 - 4 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 3 - 1 Chelsea (EPL)
Southampton 2 - 4 Newcastle (EPL)
Newcastle 4 - 0 Stoke (EPL)
Newcastle 5 - 2 Leicester (EPL)
Stoke 4 - 2 Newcastle (EPL)
Norwich 3 - 2 Newcastle (EPL)

Season form: LLLLLWWWWWWLLLWWWWWWLL
Played: 22
Won: 12
Lost: 10
Drew: 0
League Goals For: 54 (highest in the league)
League Goals Against: 45 (Highest in the league)

After playing a while on a personal save with different kinds of players, I've found that it's quite important to adjust the roles to fit your players. I.e. you should not use a guy who is "red" in the f9 role in an f9 role! If this is your best player, you should change one of the roles in the front to one that fits him better. This only goes for the strikers though. You can also move the middle striker to AM position and set the role to whatever fits your best AM best. I've had much greater success in my personal saves when I have altered the roles to fit my strikers/AMs.

Miles did say that roles were important in FM16, but I think I may have underestimated his words, until now...

Paris FC Season done

So i've run a season with Paris FC in Ligue 2 - Started out with the 3-2-5x and later on switched to 3-4-3 v2 and 3-4-3 v3 with OIs. Didn't go that well as the screenshots will show, but i might run another save with the same club and players - with the same free transfers, but with the 4-4-2 or another tactic, just to see if it's the club there just don't cut it, as my expected finish position should be mid table.

Ligue 2 End of season:

AM at 'support'?

Great start of season, just bought Gabriel Barbosa.
Using 343 v3 with defending training for day match, no OI.

Hi,

Im playing only with touch version.

So I don't have the capability to use the file in download.

Is it possible to post somes screenshots:
- tactics 3-4-3 and 4-4-1-1
- overload / instruction

Thanks for your help.

Question

What if I have a player like Kane or someone else that has a better role than a false nine, is it possible to change these around? Or better not to swap too much?

Is player roles important in these tactics or is it more the instructions? :)

And same if I have like a attacking winger (like Ronaldo or someone similar) can I take the left and right midfielder higher up? :P

You can use the same file in Touch mode, I have played FM Touch with the 3-4-3 v3 myself..

Putting the defensive line one tweak back is the difference between winning and losing with 343hvv3 for me. All the time.
