Hey guys! Just letting you know that I'm still very busy with other stuff, so I don't think you should expect any new tactics from me yet. I hope I will have time for FM again when the final patch arrives :)

I'm seriously thinking of giving the game a rest for a while as I've tried numerous saves on the 16.2 patch but cannot get the tactics working right at all. Under 16.1 I was absolutely flying with 4-2-3-1 spin the wheel but I just can't get any proper run of results with the new patch (I've used various versions of Spin the Wheel with Schalke).

In addition the games seem to have become so much more predictable (my team taking the lead and then either hanging on for the 3 pts or conceding in the last 20 minutes for a draw or loss). There seems to be a red card in most games as well (mostly on the opposition).

My thought is that 16.2 just isn't as good a version as 16.1, much more predictable and less enjoyable.

Is it possible for me to revert back to 16.1 patch? Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?
 
Another observation is that attack in the tactic (under 16.2) seems to create zero chances and is actually quite useful for seeing a game out. Control and counter seem the best tactics but even these feel weak when faced with a team doing ok.

This tactic is from a while ago, but does any one have any experience of it? I am playing an online game in the prem and a friend is killing it with Arsenal. Only dropped 4 points from a couple of draws after 15+ games. He has had some tough away games as well to top teams. I am Man Utd and he killing me while I was using a TTF tactic.

Great tactic i made some more tweaks for defence using great wall tactic instructions because his defence conceded only 16 goals whole season ... And corner routine at defense phase changed and set to mark far and near post !

I will soon start re-testing all my old tactics here, to see which ones work well in 16.3 :)
 
Just to let you guys know, I am working on tactics on my own now :) But I will not release anything before I've absolutely stomped the ME. But, you can see, after only 1 day of work, it already looks quite promising. For reference, check out the tactic testing thread.

I know it's more than good enough to release, but if I can do this in 1 day, I can guaranteed make it even better, and if it gets better, the match engine is simply defeated.. The formation is currently the same as the 4-4-2 Tripletweak tactic from fm13, and as you can see, the same type of solidness (Deep 4-4-2).

I am trying alot of stuff atm :P Right now, I just finished testing the tactic where I took out one of the DM's and in with a third striker. The result is quite funny (and weirdly good, for having ONE guy run the entire midfield alone) :P
