Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Let's now have a new tactic.

Like I said, I'm working on improving the Rock, which is a nearly impossible task, and almost impossible to test when ruling out RNG. It needs soooo much testing to confirm even a small change.

So far on my Liverpool save I've won (2012-2016):

Premier League 3 times
Champions League 3 times (in a row)
Club world championship 2 times (in a row)
Community shield 2 times
League cup 1
FA Cup 1
European super cup 2 times

Getting a bit bored now am considering heading to Germany to try and stop Dortmund's domination they've won the title 4 years on the trot.

I've had really good results with my Nottingham forest side during my first season in charge. I reached the semi final of the capital one cup (being knocked out by Tottenham 2-1 away) as well as securing promotion by 3 points.

However, the Rock classic imo concedes far too many goals despite the fact that my match training was on def. Positioning.
This was also confirmed during my first season in the premiership whereby I was conceding far too many goals. I switched to the 3-6-1 Sicilian Defence half way through the premier league and it's definitely having a positive impact on my defence.

Anyway great tactics Mr Langvatn. Keep up the good work.

Can't argue with that the sicilian defense has better defense than the rock, but the rock is really crazy good defensively when you have good defenders and dmc. Like, conceding 2 goals in 20 matches with Bayern. Seen several ppl conceding like 10 goals in EPL an entire season too.

Tried Sicilian Defence for a couple of games, didn't work for me either. One of my saves was bugged, dont know why so I started a new game and decided to give Rock Classic a chance. Chose Servette from Switzerland and implemented Rock Classic after a couple of bad results on away games. Results are good, nice work Mr L. Wish I had more luck against Olympique Marseille and maybe go through to Knockout phase.

which tactic would be best for tottenham want to get the most out of bale using lfcmarshalls new update

Someone in rock classic use playmakers like goetze thiago on CM? This work?

Thanks! Last qestions: Left foot work on right flank? or better left foot on left flank.Where Robben should play?

Both works, but I think it's better with leftie on the left side and rightie on the right side.

Hi Mr L

Havin great sucess with Rock classic

Just to clarify - do u use Tactics training on HIGH and Match Prep on Attack Movement the whole way through the season even with Rock classic yea?

Cheers bud

Also for the ROck Classic the CMs running up to support the lone forward - you would suggest workhorse types with high stamina (Im sure u said AMC types before - maybe Im mistaken) ??And the wingers in Rock classic - is it better to have attack minded or defense minded wingers mate?

Sorry for the million and one questions - great job so far mate - keep it up!!

Thank you for the great tactic.
been using 4-1-4-1 rock classic, can you tell me what attributes needed for each position?
using kagawa as mc but he does not really perform well

my tactic 3-4-1-2 is now best in game try and see

No it's not its rubbish, stop advertising your tactic on here, once again dude! Not cool man

Plus there is no best tactic in the game, it's about being the best at man management, tactic only plays a small part in success

Hi Guys.

Sorry to ask such a direct question, however I am preparing to go into my second season with Valencia and due to inconsistent form using my own tactics last season I have decided to adopt the 4-1-4-1 Rock Classic tactic. I used it towards the end of last season and it seemed reasonably solid (despite folding like a wet newspaper in the last 7 mins of the Europa League final), the problem I am having like a lot of tactics is getting the best out of my No. 1 Asset - Roberto Soldado.

I have thoroughly researched this tactic and have built and prepared my team to use this tactic for the whole of the coming season. I firmly believe if I can utilise Soldado I can compete in all competitions. I used the tactic as a "plug & play" all as explained last year and although solid, Soldado has been terrible, low match ratings, non existent goal scoring, penalty misses, red cards etc.

Now I know morale is playing a big part in his performances, however, he has never been "at the races" using this tactic. In fact we have fallen out over it and I am really struggling to select him. However, I am going to back down to him and try to get the best out of him as I am trying to get as many Spanish players in my team as possible, therefore I need to pick your brains.

If I use RS as a Target Man, what should his role be? I am leaning towards Poacher/Complete Forward with Target Man supply being set as "Run on to the ball". Can anyone else help me in turning my striker into a big gun rather than a misfiring spud gun?
