Hi MR L
Just wondering - with regards to 2-5-3v2 is it essential to have a playmaker ticked?.....Wouldnt the footy be more free flowing and less one-dimensional if it was unticked and not focussed on one player getting the ball and spreading it out?.....Also the CM you have selected as Playmaker is the most defensive and yet has ''Play thru balls'' set to sometimes only....Im just wondering if the tactic may be better without the playmaker and what the thinking was behind it as Im a noob at these things lol
Also I seem to get a lot of disallowewd goals for offside and also seem to have a lot of shots on target but doesnt translate to goals - anything I can work on to improve this?......Training is balanced high and attack movement always
Im just trying to get the absolute best out of an incredible tactic!!
Cheers mate
Playmakers are very determined to get the ball forwards, and fast. That's why it works so well with the middle one, cause he will get the ball from the defenders and immediately pass to either the full on attacking wingbacks or the other two DM's whom also are extremely attacking. It's a counter-attacking tactic. I've tested all possible tweaks, and ended up with the one I uploaded here
About offsides, just get players with better anticipation I guess. Anyone tried the ppm "beat offside trap"? Maybe that helps?
Anyways, just keep improving your team, stick to the tactic. After a couple of seasons it becomes unstoppable.
