Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

I can't really say I've tested these tactics out. It's just in your post the great than signs are saying the rock is the worst, not the best.

I don't think he was using it in a mathematical sense :D

Would it work switching between tactics? Using Rock classic for home games and Sicillian for away?

Season 2 has begun with my Wrexham team back in the football league and going for an assault on league 2. Won 4 drawn 1 after 5 games and knocked Leicester and Huddersfield out of the league cup, both away from home :) So far so good! Wales are unbeaten under my management and now sit 11th in the world rankings with 4 world cup qualifier games to go, currently 3 points clear of Belgium who are 2nd, beat them 5-1 at home.

Mr L, i'm very impressed with your tactics so far, ( currently using 2-5-3, rock classic and 3-6-1 ). Just thought to share this with you guys... here using man united. What do you thing will happen to a man united side with Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez, Jovetic, Vidic all out injured and Fellaini suspended at stamford bridge having a game away against Chelsea. With so many key players out, it's common sense that i played 3-6-1 for this match. Tbh, i would be happy to take a draw before the match start but i ran out 2-1 eventual winner and am now on a winning run. Will post a ss tmr to show how my team had done so far, i'm really impressed. Thank you Mr L for making this possible, you made fm so much more fun. Btw, injury are a concern, i beat Newcastle 1-0 away but finished the game with 7 man with 4 injured. My match training is tactics (high) while all my players are on light individual training. Do you think it's because of the training workload that caused such high amount of injury? Because after every game, there would be like 1 of my players out with injury. So afraid that if RVP were injured, i wont had any striker left. Once again, thanks Mr L and hope you can assist me regarding the injury frequency.

fantastic work Mr.L! Loving the tests your carrying out. Makes for good reading while passing the hours at work!

Thanx for the reply. I never have much luck re-training players for other positions but ill give it a retraining a few AML/AMR players as forwards as my current Feyernoord squad is full of them but lacks any real quality strikers. Lack good ML/MR players for Rock Classic so Queens Gambit is my choice at the minute. Teams now getting use to it as well and getting good results.

While your retraining players (For example Sterling from AMR to ST) do you play them in the position your training them for (meaning they will appear on the tactics screen with a RED circle) or do you wait until there fairly confident in that position meaning they will appear with a dark green circle?

I let them play in that position in the reserves team until they are dark green, then I use them as substitutes. I usually don't let them start a game before they get natural (light green).

No problem at all. The tactics are very similar in style, so the players shouldn't get confused about it :)

Yes, until you have a big enough squad that you can rotate a lot, reduce your training workload :)

I decided to just switch over to Rock classic because my team is a lot stronger now that I'm into my third season in the prem, and what a difference! I'm dominating now. Hopefully secure european football this season.

Will Hughes has been an amazing signing, well worth 9mil.

i just got promoted into premier league..
using 4-1-4-1 Rock but got trash so bad, anything i miss ? :(

If newly promoted, stick to the 3-6-1 sicilian defense I think, since ur probably an underdog in all your matches. And don't sign too many players at once:P
