Yeah, I'd look to spend some and sell some of you're mover over-rated players in return and that way it should balance well and you're squad will improve.

Transfer Update

IN

Sandro- £16.25M- Internacional-Newcastle
Sandro is a defensive midfielder who has recently been linked to Tottenham and Arsenal. However, at the age of 22, he has still not moved on from the Brazilian club Internacional. This is where we come in. He is my biggest and most expensive signing, this season and since I joined the club. I have high hopes of him to become one of the best players of the future. He has also won 13 caps for Brazil and will be put into the team as soon as possible.
Transfer- 9/10 :D

Anthony Vanden Borre- £3M- Genoa-Newcastle
We had Anthony here last season on loan and he worked his socks off scoring 3 goals. With that in mind, I knew the 23 year old would be a great capture for the season. When I enquired about him I was expecting that the transfer fee would be in the region of £5M so I was amazed that I could pick him up for £3M. I hope he re-captures the form he found last season as he will be a key player this year.
Transfer- 8/10 (H)

Ryan Babel- £2.8M- Liverpool-Newcastle
After having an amazing experience with him at Birmingham, I knew when he came up on the transfer list I had to buy him. He will be a striker to go along side Djalo and Delf this season. £2.8M was a great bargain for a player who can dribble, score, has pace and has a great strike of the ball. I am 100% that he will do well at the club!
Transfer- 8/10 (H)

Rodrigo Possebon- £1.5M- Manchester United-Newcastle
Another youngster hopefully destined for a great future at St.James' Park! We picked up the former Man Utd player for a bargain at £1.5M. He possesses a great long shot, a superb passer of the ball and a great crosser too, even if attributes suggest otherwise at times. I hope he will make an impact from the bench and will go on to be a First Team player soon!
Transfer- 7.5/10 |)

Daniel Pacheco- £1.4M- Liverpool-Newcastle
Another great player for the future. He was snapped up for just £1.4M and if trained right, could be a First Team player at the start of next year. He can dribble and shoot like a dream and he scored on his debut! Hopefully he will carry on impressing this year and push for a First Team place next year.
Transfer- 7.5/10 |)

Two other players were bought in on Free's. Tom Thorpe will be a centre back and he will be a good prospect for the future. He was bought as an investment for the future and will be hard not to make a profit him. The other player was old Newcastle player Kieron Dyer who is on just £5000 a week. I desperately want to give Kieron his reputation back and this is the club to do it at!

The people that went out of the club are here. I could sell hardly anyone as most are hot prospects or players that are either vital to the club or impossible to sell. Our financial situation got better which allowed me to buy more players!

I hope you keep following and enjoy Newcastle's third year under Hughton!

Nice signing there in Sandro, signed him on 10.2 and he was pretty immense. Harry Redknapp obviously read my last story ;)

nice one good story this one Chris good luck to e season.
hope sandro dose you well.

Cheers Luke and Ryan. :D I hope so, I had to be very careful with the cash I spent and I think I went a bit wild. XD

Sandro looks like a great signing mate. good marking tackling passing and workrate. should be an important player for you for many years. well done :)

Cheers mate. I hope so too. Will provide a much needed tackler to the midfield. :)

yeah thats what i thought on first sight. looks like a tough guy who's not afraid to get stuck in

You got some steals their great deals mate keep up the great work :)

So, our first games back went OK in the Premier League. As for the Champions League...

Premier League

Newcastle 2-0 Nottingham Forest (Dindane, Djalo)
A game that we should always win and we were lucky to start the league off like this. We did win but the young squad struggled to keep possession and primarily, to finish and score the goals we should have scored. It should have finished 6-0 but Djalo, Delf and Guthrie all squandered chances. Dindane was the best player scoring and creating Djalo's goal. But, we need to see dramatic improvements if we want to come anywhere near the top four.

Newcastle 1-0 West Brom (Pacheco)
The team were tired from a game in the Champions League against Sporting and I had no choice to field a team that age was averaged around 20 years old. We dominated for just 15 minutes, at the start of the game, but it was all we needed to win the match. Pacheco was the goalscorer. It was a dream debut for the young lad. West Brom were all over us and should have scored at least four. We got lucky in the end and I was delighted with the youngster's efforts.

Bolton 0-1 Newcastle (Djalo)
I have to say, I thought the team were excellent today. When you come to the Reebok stadium, you can never expect an easy much but we dominated throughout. Djalo scored a goal inside 11 minutes and we never looked back. Bolton's defence were superb but our passing was sublime and Bolton looked completely deflated. We were pressurised at the end but we held on to secure a vital victory.

Newcastle 1-3 Chelsea (Maduro Pen)
This was our first loss of the season and it was an expected one. Chelsea have won the league two times in a row and looked completely unstoppable today. Anelka terrorised us and got a brace in return. Joe Cole also scored and it was a great run from Anelka that supplied the goal. However, our defence played well and Drogba was disappointing. Maduro got a consolation meaning that the were a lot of positives to take away from our first month.

Champions League

I expected nothing from this so weakened side's it was...

Newcastle 1-2 Sporting Lisbon (Delf)

Sporting 2-1 Newcastle (Delf) (Aggregate 4-2 Sporting Lisbon)

Basically, we played poorly in both games and Sporting should have scored many more. Delf scored in both games but he is yet to find the net in the League. Despite losing this, we were expected to make no impact in the competition. We are, however, in the Europa League and I'd love to get past the group stages in that. We gained £2M from this which is a positive to take out of a couple of poor results.

Europa League... The Group.

Legia
Newcastle United
Roma
Zurich

I reckon we could do pretty well in this group. Roma will be the team expected to walk the group but as for Legia and Zurich, we have a great chance. A lot of time and effort will be put into this competition and I want to make a real impact on it. If possible, I'd love to get 13 points out of 18.

Carling Cup

The team we are going to play in the Third Round is newly promoted Cardiff. I will field a weak side so we will struggle with that one. This is a chance for players like Mitrovic, Bostock and Forster to shine.

Player of the Month

A bit of a tough one as no-one has really shone. But this month, the best player has to go to Jose Enrique who has put in some good performances when other's haven't. He really is a vital part of Newcastle United and on his day, in the top few left backs in the league. A superb month from the Spaniard!

Summary

Not the greatest of month's but we are second in the league. We still have that, the Europa League and the Carling Cup to look forward to. The young player's really look like they are coming on. Krul kept three clean sheets in the league which is encouraging and he was only just pipped to Player of the Month. A decent month for us. Long may it continue!

Well done mate. Fabulous 2nd season, and a takeover, which gets the fat man out of the boardroom:). Hopefully will get some results in Europe. Also, Cardiff in the Prem :O

Cheers Stu. Yeah, Cardiff in the Prem. They'll have a tough time staying up. :S

Thanks you two. I love Chopra but they always want too much. :'(

I think you shouldn't have fielded a weakened side against Sporting Lisbon. I agree they are good with some quality but they can be beaten. I managed to defeat them with Bolton in my second season with very much the same team they have currently except for Becks and Mendes.
Anyways good luck for the Europa League!

Thanks all you guys. :) Max, he's a legend for me. ;) Sam, we were tired from the Premier League match and I had to get my priorities right. :) Thanks mate. Updates later!
