I am not going to a game by game update just a summary... Here we go!

####

Premier League

This has been such a hard year for us. A lack of funds dictates everything and in the summer the players I could buy were very limited and this year we are fighting desperately for a top four finish. The other teams going up against us look like this:

Chelsea- They have already won the league twice in a row and show no sign of stopping now. They have the strongest and biggest squad, experience and youth and a world class manager. I am expecting them to stroll to the top of the league this year and the rest of us will need a miracle to keep up with them.

Manchester United- They also look certain to finish in the top three. They have a strong team and people struggle against them. They don't look like the team they used to be but still one of the best in the league. I will be amazed if they don't finish strongly. A top side.

Liverpool- They have had a very good season and find themselves in third place this year. New manager Aguirre has really got them going and they are one of the teams who we will be having a scrap with this year. A really good side who have a lot about them.

Manchester City- They currently occupy fifth spot and are picking up form after a dreadful start to the season. With players like Tevez, Hamsik and Adebayor they seem to be the obvious choice to finish in third or fourth spot. Our only advantage over them is a three point lead. I expect them to finish strongly this season.

Everton- They are quite a way off fourth spot after losing 1-0 to us. However, they have a strong squad and still offer a big threat to us. We will have to be careful that we don't drift off and let them catch us up.

My Predictions:

1. Chelsea
2. Manchester United
3. Manchester City
4. Liverpool
5. Newcastle
6. Everton

I just can't see us getting fourth place this year. At the end of the day, our team is awful compared to all of the teams around us. I can still see us getting above Everton though after we beat them. They are a good side but we have a big point gap over them and that should be enough to keep them at arm's length.

Our Results have been very inconsistent. Here are the top three best and worst results:

1. Newcastle 3-1 Sunderland (Delf, Sandro, Djalo)
2. Everton 0-1 Newcastle (Djalo)
3. Tottenham 2-3 Newcastle (Colo, Delf x2)

1. Aston Villa 1-0 Newcastle
2. Arsenal 3-1 Newcastle (Djalo)

3. Birmingham 2-2 Newcastle (Djalo, Dindane)

Europa League

We have really shone in this competition. We did an amazing double over Roma beating them 1-0 Away and 3-1 at Home! We only dropped 2 points and won the group with ease. If only we could recapture that form in the league. Delf has shone against the less physical European sides and we have played our best football in this competition.

Roma 0-1 Newcastle (Sandro)
Newcastle 3-1 Roma (Pacheco, Maduro, Delf)
Zurich 0-2 Newcastle (Delf x2)
Newcastle 0-0 Legia

As you can see we have won all of our games expect the Legia match where I played the Reserves seeing as we were already home and dry. In the next knockout round we play Dortmund and I expect us to beat them. We could really shine in this!

Carling Cup

Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

Nothing to say. We were slightly unlucky but deserved to lose.

Summary

Not quite sure what we are doing this season. Really inconsistent. The player's that have shone are Delf, Sandro and Guthrie. Sandro has been the best of all scoring 4 goals, getting 4 assists with an average rating of 7.47. He is paying back his huge fee by miles. I have changed tactics to these which is the biggest news so far:

Really simple and using Max's Tactics guide and we have got some good results so far. Hopefully we can really pick up form in the Second Half of the season. I hope you keep following!

Hi guys. I am going to close this story temporarily. I will play a season or two and then update any any followers on how I got on. I am losing motivation and with all these inconsistent results, it is hard to stay committed. For now, thanks for following and I'll continue in a few weeks! Please keep on following when I come back after a break and we will go from there. Chris, Newcastle fan.

Would anyone be interested if I started this again?

I would definitely be interested pal.

Definetly mate, you know I was following intently:) Also, midway through my 2nd season at Newcastle as well, so looking for potential signings/tactics etc along the way.

Thanks for the support. In the process of a big update! ^^)

Well, it's back now and I hope to back the updates more in detailed an hopefully interesting than last time. I hope you'll comment as I really appreciate it when you do! Cheers, Chris. :)

You may remember that my last update was around November in my Third Season. Well you will be pleased to hear that I am in my Fifth Season now and have been excited about restarting the game again. I am only at the start of the fifth season so I can only tell you about the league table, top scorers and signings. Enjoy :)

2011/2012

This was one of my toughest seasons to date, if not the hardest. I was looking to consolidate a Top Four finish, I did that but I would have liked to have been more consistent. Anyway, I came Third in the league. But, as you'll soon see, I was Eight points behind Second Placed Manchester United and Thirteen behind Chelsea. You will see I had a lot of work to do for the next season:

The surprises out of the Twenty Teams that year had to be Man City, despite their heavy spending, coming a disappointing Fifth. Also, Wolves were impressive coming Eleventh but Bolton Wanderers ended their spell in the Premier League, coming 19th and finishing 11 points behind 17th place.

Unfortunately, I can't say much as I lack the screenshots but Delfouneso had an impressive second season, scoring 17 goals in 35 Premier League appearances. He looks like one of the players we can now rely on for goals! Djalo finished with the same tally, not as good of a year as I would have liked.

Both players scored 17 in 35 games but Delfouneso was the real star.

Overall, an OK year where we consolidated our position in the Top Four of the Premier League, moving up a place at the same time. Looking back at the financial troubles we had, I was surprised that we did this so a decent year for the Toon Army faithful. Hopefully we can now progress and win the league that we deserve!

2012/2013

This was THE season! After three years in the Premier League, we set the world alight with our performances in the Premier League, FA Cup and even the Champions League! We never looked back even though we sold star player Yannick Djalo. The youngsters shone which allowed us the freedom to play football the way I wanted to play. This year we did the double!

Here are the screenshots that sum up how well we did. After falling at the last hurdle last season, I was shocked at the ease we went through the season. Delfouneso had his best season so far and Keirrison also shone. We also saw Fraser Forster take the Goalkeeper spot permanently with some impressive performances at the end of last season. Here we go!

As you can see we lost one game. That was to Man City so no surprises there. We managed to ease to the finish line, ending Chelsea's three year spell at the top of the Premier League. 21 points behind meant they were left trailing in the wake of our team! The big surprises were Fulham coming an impressive 8th, Villa slipping to 13th and Stoke going down. A great year!

I was pleased to win my first Domestic Cup and we won the FA Cup in some style. We defeated Liverpool in a surprisingly close encounter. On the way we beat; Walsall, Gillingham, Sheffield United, Arsenal, Everton and of course Liverpool! Delighted to win this!

Some may argue that our biggest achievement was finishing Runners Up in the Champions League. Maybe I agree! We met Barcelona in the Final but we took them all the way! We were defeated 1-0 in the end, Messi ending our dreams in the 90th minute but I could not be prouder of the lads. Hopefully we can impress even more next year and win the trophy but we'll have to see!

The players that shone were Delfouneso and Keirrison. Delfouneso is now officially a goal in 2 games striker after bagging an impressive 17 goals in 33 games. He also grabbed himself a stunning 13 assists on the way. Keirrison was also on fire, getting a brilliant 17 goals in 28 games! He was a £7.25M signing in the summer and I couldn't have asked for more. Amazing player!

Delf and Keirrison were the key players, scoring 34 goals between. They could become a top strike force!

The best year so far so it will be tough to improve on! I think we need to win the Carling Cup and make our mark on the Champions League again. I'd love to do the treble again this season but we have to aim low and go from there!

Thanks for following more updates tomorrow!

Wow, would be supeeeer delighted if Newcastle will do the same in the following years. :D
Nice done Chris.

Good stuff, although I'm inshock over the sale of Djalo:'(. I currently have him up with Anelka/Dzeko depending on my opponents. 33 goals thus fa in 2nd season, February.

Stu, he was injured for 5 months and when he came back, he wasn't the same. :'(

Thanks though you two. :)
