Stu, he was injured for 5 months and when he came back, he wasn't the same. :'(

Thanks though you two. :)

Aah, well I would probably have done the same in that position. I have had some almost irresistible offers for him, including 11m from Villarreal, which I turned down.

Thanks. I saw your comment yesterday and I decided that I would definitely bring it back so thank you very much.

Thanks mate.

I hope you enjoy. ^^)

Good to see it back, and good to see you've gotten so far Chris, keep it up mate. :)

Thanks Man v.1. :) I had you in mind. ;)

Thanks for the support Max and this is the furthest I have got in FM10. XD

Oh and updates around 8.30 as I have the school Cup Final and Training. :)

I am so god-****-forsaken-kicking-in-the-****-and-calling-me-lassie-glad that you are back :D

New Season, New Players, New Tactics!

Only a small update as I have revision. Apologies. :'(

--------------

2013/2014

This is my Fifth Season as Newcastle manager and I enjoy everyday more and more as it goes by. If you exclude last season and the first season I would dread some games. Now, it's a case of; Man Utd? So? We seem to be able to go into every game and get a decent result so the lads can be very proud of their unbeaten start to the season! No player has really shone as it has mainly been a team effort but the stand out performer is new signing Marco Verratti. More on him next time but other key players are Delfouneso and Shawcross. Both top players at this level! So here we go but first our new tactics made by a very familiar face...

The Tactics

You all know JP Woody don't you? Here they are, the Total Football Tactics. They line up with a 3-1-2-1-3 formation. Some may say that they lack width but as quoted by the Top Tactician Pep Guardiola:

Some may say that teams using this tactic are vulnerable on the wings but they know nothing. With 2 central midfielders that come across, a defensive midfielder and three central defenders, wingers stand little to no chance! I will be using ze tactic with my Barcelona team!

The New Players!

This was a summer to remember for the fanatical Newcastle fans with signings such as Marco Verratti (Signed in January but I will show you him now!), and huge prospects such as Michel Gaillard and Rafael. (Both regens) I brought in a total of eight players spending £19M in total. This was the lowest amount of money I have spent in 3 seasons with the last few being £25M, £31M and a ridiculous £52M! We had to cut back and with a Premier League winning team, signings were not a huge necessity for once.

Marco will be a key player this season after impressing between January and the end of the season!

The two new youngsters could be huge players in a few years!

Notable players to leave were Djalo, Maduro, Simpson and Krul. All four have been faithful servants of the club having been there since the Championship.

Right, seeing as I have revision now I'll have to end that update there and do a start of season update tomorrow. Please comment as I really appreciate it!

Some good signings there mate and good luck for the new season! (H)

Just read through and its looking great
Added bonus as you support them adds extra passion and fire to the belly
Question though could I see a screenshot of Haris Vuckic's stats and history please

August-September-October

In the last three months, Newcastle United have been the team to beat. In the Champions League, we have played three games, drawn twice and won once. This means we occupy second place which is a very respectable position for us. Not quite as good as last year but to get past the group stages is good enough for me. In the Premier League, we find ourselves unbeaten after ten games, winning 8 drawing 2. Our best wins include a hard fought 3-1 victory at Old Trafford and a simple 2-0 win over Tottenham. In the Carling Cup, we saw off Cardiff City 3-2 and Derby 3-0. Here is your update!

Premier League

This has been the competition on which we base our main success this year. So, with ten games on the clock we can be delighted with our strong start to the season. We are eight points ahead of Chelsea in second place but other teams have played as little as eight games to our ten. People were sceptical whether we would do as well as last season but we seem to have impressed so far. Keirrison, Sanogo, Delf and Verratti have all been decent but no-one stands out for me. Our defence seems to be solid conceding just six goals and the goals have been spread around the team as we have scored the most along with Chelsea this year. I am delighted with the start and we look like we could continue.

Newcastle seem to be running away with the league though Man City and Arsenal are in with a shot of reducing the Toon Army's lead to 2 points.

Our star performer is Marco Verratti who has played 7 games in the Premier League, scoring 3 goals. He may have played and scored more but he has been sidelined for six weeks. Marco is now only a week away from returning and will boost our chances of winning the league.

Verratti has been Newcastle's best player and one of the league's finest. He could be a key player in the future.

As you can see, he has thrived in his new role playing behind the strikers and will always put in a good performance for us. He looks to be paying back his £10M price tag which can only be a good thing!

Our results include:
  • Manchester United 1-3 Newcastle United
  • Newcastle United 2-0 Tottenham
  • Everton 0-1 Newcastle United
  • Newcastle United 3-1 Birmingham

Newcastle have done well in most games though there have been disappointing draws against West Ham and Blackburn.

Champions League, Carling Cup and Community Shield!

A good start in all competitions especially the Champions League. We have won once and drawn twice. In the Carling Cup, we got through a tough game against Cardiff and demolished Derby. We won the Community Shield in style, easily beating Chelsea 2-0. The scorers in that game were Verratti and Keirrison, who have been taking the plaudits all this season.

Newcastle have surprised teams again this year in the Champions League, thrashing Shakhtar and holding PSG and Juventus in a very tough group.

View attachment 60165View attachment 60166
Newcastle had a relatively easy route through to the Fifth Round, with the youngsters getting a chance to show their credentials!

View attachment 60170
Finally, Newcastle saw off Chelsea to win their first Community Shield!

Summary

Hopefully you'll agree that we have had a good start to the year and we have a shot at everything that we have entered so far. I am looking forward to this season more than any other and I feel that with a couple of signings in January, we should be able to make it to the finish line! Delf looks like he could have another great season though we still lack a 20 goal a season striker. Expect some big spending in January! Thanks for following, Chris. (H)

Good results, also, try playing more Vuckic, he got -9 at PA, which means he's gonna turn class.

On loan at the moment but I may bring him back. :)

Thanks mate.
