Spear turns out very good. I would loan him out, but wouldnt sell him. Luckily your squad has a few profitable players, which could be useful. Try to reduce wage bill is the main thing to do, and its usually the add-ons that kill you, such as goal bonus.

Here is a loan report for Newcastle:

Fraser Forster is on loan at my feeder club Nottingham Forest. He has played 16 games, conceding 21 goals and keeping 4 clean sheets in the process. This is OK and I am pretty pleased with the progress he has made. When Harper leaves at the end of the season, he will be backup to Krul so this is encouraging that younger players are impressing.

Wayne Routledge was on loan at Championship side Portsmouth. He played pretty badly playing 21 games getting 0 goals and 0 assists. He will need to be sold at the end of the season because there is no place for a winger in our formation.

Peter Lovenkrands is on loan at Hull which cost them £350k for the season. He has barely played and has made no impact when he has. Another player that will be sold as he is not up to Premier League football.

Nile Ranger is on loan at Swansea and he has done OK scoring 4 goals in 10 starts. I will, however, show him the door at the end of the season as he has not come on as much as I had liked. A shame but he'll have to go.

Fraser Forster can fecth around 3-5m if you get the interest.
Routledge was shown the door after first season for me, got 2m from Bolton
Lovenkrands is a staple of my team, with the StuW update he is great.
Nile Ranger is also out on loan for me, at Southampton, where he is scoring for fun.

Also, just realised you are using some very sexy logos

The logos are very sexy, yes. (K)

I will probably keep Forster as he has become a great keeper on all my games. :)
I couldn't sell Routledge. :(
Lovenkrands is OK but we can do better. :S
Ranger is pretty poor to be honest but we can fetch quite a bit for him :)

Nolan just left for QPR for £500k which is all I could get for him. Paying 90% of his wages too. Nice to have got rid of him though. :)

The December January February Update

An incredibly tough month with all of the big 4 and lots of matches squeezed in. Here's how we did:

Premier Division

Wolves 3-3 Newcastle (Delfouneso, Djalo x2)
A tough game on a good day and we got a point which we deserved. We took the lead through Delfouneso early on but they scored 3 times in 10 minutes! Djalo's 2 goals meant a superb fightback and a decent point.

Newcastle 6-2 West Brom (Dindane x2, Delfouneso x3, Taylor)
A great win and Dindane and Delf were on form to secure the win. Dindane scored a brace before West Brom pulled it back to 2-2 at half time. I slammed the team and Delfouneso scored two in quick succession. Delfouneso scored again late on to complete a hat-trick and Taylor secured the win deep into injury time with a good header.

Bolton 2-4 Newcastle (Guthrie, Taylor, Carroll, Djalo)
Bolton had the lead up until 70 minutes after Coloccini had been sent off. Guthrie scored a 30 yard free kick and Taylor equalised with a powerful strike from a corner. Carroll gave us the lead through a great header and Djalo scored a placed shot. All in the space of 15 minutes!

Newcastle 1-0 Chelsea (Carroll)
Chelsea cannot beat us can they?! Carroll scored the only goal of the game through a superb header to send the 48,000 Newcastle fans home singing his praises! Superb win.

Man Utd 3-0 Newcastle
We were thrashed. Nothing else to say. Rooney scored 2 and Nani scored the other.

Liverpool 2-2 Newcastle (Carroll, Vanden Borre)
A good point at Anfield but we are down to third place because of such a hard month. Gerrard and Torres gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead but we fought back superbly and Carroll scored a class header to make it 2-1 and continue his good form. Vanden Borre scored a dramatic late equaliser for his first ever Newcastle goal!

Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal (Dindane)
Another good point against a top four side. Dindane gave us the lead but Ramsey equalised in the 65th minute to give us a creditable draw. We are still third but I wasn't expecting more than one point from these games and we got 5 out of 12 points.

FA Cup

Newcastle 2-0 Bradford (Zander, Flynn OG)

Newcastle 1-1 West Ham (Hanke)

West Ham 1-3 Newcastle (Hanke, Dindane, Carroll)

Next team: Arsenal

Other News
  • Newcastle are in bad financial trouble.
[*]Nolan is sold to QPR for £500k.
[*]Routledge is sold to Leicester for £550k.
[*]Zander is brought from Man City for £210k.
[*]Barton is sold to Freiburg for £3.8M.

Player of the Month(s)

A tough one but probably Dindane. The striker has hit the net six times and has been in great form. I am really surprised at how well he has done and coming in on a free meant he was a bargain!

Summary
A pretty good month considering the fixtures we have had. We are third in the league but it's not going to take much to regain first place. Hopefully you'll keep following! :)

Sitting comfortably in 3rd. If you stay there, the Champions League Money will sort everything out :P. Still in the titile race though. Hows Hanke doing for you. I got him for 550k, and has been good for me. 15 goals in 29 apps, although hes nowhere near Carroll and Djalo

Djalo - 27 in 35
Carroll - 21 in 37

Ive just read through the hole 7 pages and im really impressed with how your doing and how decent the content is in this story ... makes mine look like a retards written it haha. Yannick Djalo is a goal machine, Youve got more or less the equivilent of Shearer for £14m cheaper. Really like your signings.

Good luck, i'll follow from now on!

Thanks you two!

Hanke doesn't score too many 5 in 15 but the effort he put's in is superb so I am pleased with him. :)

You got any of the original youngsters left. I released most, kept LuaLua, and Bradden Inman, mainly because I know him IRL, and would feel bad if I released him.

I have LuaLua, Kadar, Krul, Inman, Tozer, Forster, Zamblera, Spear, Vuckic, Donaldson, Adjei, Ranger. Those are the main ones. :)

Donaldson is quite profitable aswell. never used him, but can generally get 2m for him. pretty much all the ones I keep, except Adjei, who never does anything. Retires two seasons after I release him, and disappears.

I'll probably offload most of them and Tozer and Donaldson do generally get quite a bit of cash in. :)

Here's how this month went. Read to find out!

Premier League

Sheffield United 0-3 Newcastle (Delfouneso x2, Djalo)
A great win over Sheffield United who are struggling this year. Delf gave us two quick goals early on in the first half. Yannick Djalo wrapped up the points late on to give us a good win and keeping up the pressure on Man City.

Newcastle 0-0 Birmingham
A very dull match and the only note of incident was Coloccini's sending off. We held on for a point but I was disappointed as we had more shots and we had beaten them 5-1 earlier in the year.

Blackburn 0-2 Newcastle (Coloccini, Maduro)
A good win over a poor Blackburn side with both scorers getting their first goals of the season. Coloccini gave us a first half lead with a good header from a Guthrie corner. Maduro scored a fine strike, cementing a win and a first team place!

Newcastle 2-0 Sunderland (Vanden Borre, Dindane)
A fantastic win over our deadly rivals meaning we stay second! Vanden Borre scored in the fifth minute with a stunning header. The fans went mad. Dindane secured the win late on with a powerful strike into the top corner. A victory to remember for years to come!

Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle (Delfouneso)
Aston Villa are always a tough team and I was delighted with the point. Aston Villa took the lead at the start of the second half with a stunning Petrov strike. But Delf scored against his old club with a dramatic injury time header that sent the fans crazy!

Newcastle 1-1 Everton (Maduro)
Another tough game and another valuable point. Maduro gave us the lead with a trademark free kick emphasising why he has been in the first team of late. Pienaar scored a beautiful free kick and eventually got the point which was deserved in an even game.

Player of the Month

A tough one here but it goes to Maduro who has forced his way into the team. He has scored two fantastic goals in the process. A great month from him and he and Gago now have a battle on!

Other News

  • Newcastle's Chairman Mike Ashley wants to leave the club. An English businessman wants to take his place!
[*]Delfouneso is odds on for Young Player of the Year award!
[*]Hughton has announced that no player will be bought for more than £6M next season.
[*]He has also told his players that wage cuts and squad cuts are imminent.

Summary

This is a key time for the squad. We have 5 crucial games left until the end of the season. They are:

  • Manchester City
    [*]Fulham
    [*]Tottenham
    [*]Hull
    [*]Burnley

We can expect to lose against Man City and draw against Tottenham. We are second in the league but with the finish we have I can't see us staying there. Third or Fourth is more likely. The players are ready but they know how hard this and next season is going to be. They will all fight for their places! Expect an update soon!
