Newcastle United- Time to Stop the Rot

FOLLOWING ARE FOR NEWCASTLE UNITED, NOT THE WHOLE PREMIER LEAGUE.

We wouldn't have finished anywhere near the top 4 if it wasn't for Cisse. Early in the season I was ready to sell him. I decided to start Ayoze up front with Berahino. Ayoze got injured so I had to bring on Cisse. He responded by banging in the goals and he was dearly missed at the ACON. He finished as 2nd top scorer with 21. I do wonder how we'd have done if I picked him from the start.

Berahino has been excellent for me. He started the season in amazing form and couldn't stop scoring. Unfortunately a 4 month injury so nearly ruined our season. Since returning he was a little rusty but he managed to gain some form back at the end of the season. I've removed the release clause from his contract and plan to keep him here for a long time.

-------

Thanks everyone who has followed this story. I plan on continuing it for a long time and will start next season either tonight or tomorrow.

Really like like all the graphics. Newcastle in the Champions League would be great.

Will you you look to sign Can in a permanent deal?
Thanks, so glad we got there in the end :)

I'd really like Can, he's been brilliant for me. But I'm a little disappointed with my budget and my main priority has to be at least one good centre back with Coloccini and McAuley both very old. If I get the opportunity I would snap up Can though, whether it be another loan or permanent.

I suppose it's NEXT season that your budget will be bigger... Maybe get can on loan again? Have seen Liverpool sell him cheap after a few years.

Great season! Definitely agree on getting a new centre back! Especially now you have CL football, hopefully your budget will be significantly better than this year.

I am a Newcastle fan so I was immediately interested in your story but its made even better by your effort, love the lay out.. will be following keenly!

Thanks for the responses. Took one day off and ready for the new season tonight.

For some reason I have nothing to spend which must be due to financial struggle or a bug. This is going to make this season extremely tough but I'm up for the challenge.

Reporter: How do you feel about the upcoming season?

Sam Tobin: There's a very positive atmosphere around the club at the moment after last season. I don't see why we can't build on the achievements of last season and aim to go even further this time around. We have a squad of young, hungry players and, if we aren't as unlucky with injuries this season, who knows the heights we could reach.

How happy are you with the signings of Zakaria Bakkali and Emre Can?

I'm delighted. We saw how good Emre was last season, a big reason why we managed to secure a top three finish. We're extremely grateful that Liverpool have allowed us to take him on loan again. Bakkali is a permanent transfer and has immense talent at the age of eighteen. These two are perfect examples of the characters we want at Newcastle.

Will there be any more transfer business?

It's difficult. We're not in a great financial position at the moment and we will probably have to sell if we want to buy. I don't expect many, if any, more players coming in.

Finally, dream Champions League draw?

I'd love to take Newcastle to somewhere like the Nou Camp or the Allianz. At the same time, of course I want the best chance of us progressing.

Great reading this. Too bad my pc's messed up and I cant spend 10 hours a day managing Newcastle again.
Any defenders you've scouted so far?

Thanks, at the moment I can't find any must-buys in terms of defenders. I've got Yanga-Mbiwa back who should be able to start most games which allows me to rotate McAuley and Coloccini. I have around £15m but don't want to spend it unless I can find a good deal. Updating with transfers soon

I will of course provide a full detail of all transfers when the window shuts.
