Perfect 4-1-2-2-1 My Last Hurrah

I'm playing with Spurs at the moment (as I only really play with Spurs), but I am finding it to be even more solid. As far as the FB's; I just found them rushing out to close down opp FB's when the wingers had chased the ball elsewhere, and leaving too much space at the back for a ball behind. I'm personally trying to create it for the DMC to protect the pocket, the FB's/wingers to protect just the wing and not chase inside and the CM's to just chase the ball down. Ideally I'd want the CM's to press the midfield and the DMC to mark runners in behind that. I think having FB's/wingers/DMC on close down less might achieve this?

The DMC seems a very tricky position to balance in this version. How do you test tactics out quickly? I like to watch the full match but it takes too long for a quick test. I'm guessing you test in FMC

Can you tell me what the players you've chosen in what positions and I'll do a test when I get home ;)
This is how I would test. Start a new game(full game as OI necessary) and make 2 saves before season starts. Save 1 using my tactics, OI's etc and play 10 league games. Save 2 use your tactic and play 10 league games. Play both and check the stats. :)

I have been using this tactic for about 2 months ingame now, and I'm impressed with how well it plays! I have not lost a single match since I started using it, and the way my Valencia team plays is so delicious to watch :D
I was not totally happy with the way my team performed with my previous used tactic, but with this I go into every match feeling very comfortable. And the best part is that every single player in my team performs well with different goalscorers and usually ends up with a 7+ rating after each match.
I have provided a SS down below. I started using the tactic before entering the match against Athletic Bilbao at home on the 8th November 2014.
I hope this tactic will work for a long time to come ;)

I'm hopeful the tactic will again stand up to a patch or two, as I have been using this tactic practically untweaked for the last 3 FM's now. I think the difference with this tactic is that it does not take advantage of the M.E. it is just well balanced with appropriate roles and duties. Great going and I hope it continues to impress.

In the opening post it says no OI's, still use no OI's right? i'm about to try this tactic with Southampton

Dave, have you tried using the original tactic and if you get a couple of goals up switch to the more defensive one?

page 1, post 7.. Any tweaks to do for this tactic for version 15.2.1 ?

My idea was more to just fit the tactic to my preference. I really like this tactic and so it's more just to design the DMC to my tastes, which is sticking in the hole. The tweaks I made did seem to have benefit but with a team like Burnley you can't expect to win every game. My test was played on instant result and so I couldn't change half way through. I was ultimately testing for consistency and not result...I will continue as I feel the results were promising

bobby, what have been your reslts with Burnley? I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the different tweaks I made :)

Also, I found Counter to be the most effective mentality

Know the feeling MoranEU.
Got 1 point from my first 3 games in Championship, was expecting a dog fight in the relegation zone after losing a couple of key players to bigger clubs (yet again)
My salary is 6.3m a year, considerably more than yours but hey were still massive underdogs after 3 promotions on the bounce.

Just coming into 2018

Those of you guys playing with this one and having great results. Do you just "plug n´ play" it? Or is there any tweaks thatt can make this even better than it is in its original?

Thanks

Pretty much, the tweaks which bobby told me to use were on an earlier page

I have a couple of tweaks then that WILL help. Change the mentality to "Attack" in the home version and use the following OI's both home and away, hard tackle and show onto weaker foot all strikers, wingers and attacking midfielders, this has improved my win percentage by at least 10%.

If you want the home and away versions I can send them to you by e-mail as I cannot even post properly on here let alone upload anything. You also need to use the OI instructions(explained earlier). If you wish to use tweaks made by other posters please don't post feedback here, thanks. Edit - Cheers rywilson

Sure! You use home and away version yourself? Is thiis better than uploaded file?

Will try it out Rangers if so.

Cheers mate

The uploaded file is essentially the away tactic, just add the necessary OI's. Make the relevant changes to produce the home tactic. No problem.

Great! What would YOU consider be relevant changes to home tactic? Attacking mentality?

cheers

Just add these to the away tactic. Change fullbacks from support to attack. Add "look for overlap" in the team instructions and change to "attack" mentality. Save it as your home tactic then you can just switch between the two.
